Today, the Poitcast celebrates its fifth anniversary!
It started as two friends gushing over their favorite characters during lockdown and evolved into something greater. We had a lot of great folks on the show, got to meet each other in person for a recording, and gained a lot of confidence along the way.
I’m still working on the Fifth Anniversary Special, but I hope to have it out in the next two weeks.
We want to thank our listeners for supporting us on our fun ride!
Who do you think would win in a drinking contest: Brain or Timon?
Hmm... 🤔
I had to think about this one for a bit but I'm gonna say Brain.
Timon's a total lightweight. Anything stronger than a watermelon margarita and he's GONE.
Plot twist: Slappy wins the contest. Long live the queen. 💖

Brain just passes out and Slappy is like:
Meanwhile, Timon is flat on his face somewhere...
BYEEE Just saw a Hunchback analysis reel saying Quasimodo is a “nice guy” whereas Phoebus is the “good man” oh im so pissed off. Quasi get behind me, they mischaracterize you so bad
There was a follow-up where the reviewer mentioned that Quasi only became a good man when he let go of the “reward system” he had been following, but his earlier acts of kindness weren’t performative.
Quasi helped Esmeralda escape the cathedral because he could empathize with not wanting to be trapped and when they reached the bottom Quasi told Esmeralda “I’ll never forget you,”, indicating that he thought he would never see her again. He was already doing the right thing out of genuine kindness.
To celebrate Poitcast’s upcoming fifth anniversary, we are going to record an anniversary special!
We will accept any listener questions focused on the podcast or PATB in general. Submissions close on Saturday, June 27th at 10:00 AM.
