The historical side of the city
(Image description under each image)
Downtown Rachel from the south.
At the bottom of the picture we see the back of the shopping mall and the commercial area, as well the old engine shed and the historic water tower.
The town hall with its large dome dominates the center of the picture. On the left edge of the picture are the fire department and the police station.
Behind it is the Townsquare with its commercial buildings. The Independence Inn (green building) stands out in the square. Right next to it is the Trinity Church of Male, Female and Diversity as well as the historic Rachel Society (black farm) and the community center. The SPI Hospital (the Hospital of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) is located in the large white building at the top left of the picture.
View over Town Square.
The Independence Inn, the Rachel Historic Community, The Community Center and some commercial buildings on the town square.
An overview of the historic site of Rachel, the city's founding site.
The Trinity Church of Male, Female and Diverity, the Independence Inn Tower, Rachel Farm, the Community Center as well as the Bell Café and the Warner Cinema
Oh, I think the bride is rehearsing for the big day with her bridesmaids. Let's not bother them any further.
What's happening here in the community center? Even the reporters from DVB and Devon24 are there! Does this perhaps have something to do with current events?
However, it is quiet in the Riverview park. The perfect place to enjoy hot summers.
A very special house in Rachel is Rachel's Farm. It is not only the oldest but also the first house in Rachel. The "de Rochel" family settled here in 1745 and laid the foundation stone for this city.
Today it houses the Rachel historic museum and the city's historical society. A visit is an absolute must if you are ever in the city.
Finally, a look at the SPI Hospital. The Hospital of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (google it - you will be surprised) ;-)
Now really the last picture for today. A view from north to south over this beautiful city. Be kind to one another, send love out into the world and know that no matter who or what you are, you are always welcome and safe in Rachel. Greetings from the Dead Rabbit
