TS2 program proposition: a program similar to that one TS4 hq mod program that bulk downscales texture sizes of packages. It is gonna take me a million years to resize all the 4t2 flora available currently (some I saw are 1024px, while I comfortably use 256px maxis defaults by @veronavillequiltingbee as like they said, plants are to be spammed. Why is it 1024px??? I don't know.)

Tried using Yape but the manual process is lowkey killing me off

How do you plan your neighborhood?

I make it quite primitive but still very simple

So, this is the most up-to-date map of my neighborhood. Version 2.4, I must admit. There's always new inspiration and ideas, but slowly everything is coming together.

What am I up to now in the Sims 2? ( Functional banks!! )

Roaring Heights needs some OFB gameplay. And new mods!

Yeahhhh, @sunmoon-starfactory gave us a f'n mine shaft!

I made a Sim, inspired by my decision to craft an abandoned lot with an abandoned, overgrown mineshaft. I was also inspired by wanting to implement Katy 76's functional banking set

lol couldn't have taken a better shot... sorry there, Sir... anyway, this is Buck (the III) Schwabb. He is very disciplined and honest (I made him after reading about John Rockefeller) He wants to own a bank, but oops! The house they furnished was way too expensive!

I BUILT IT FROM SCRATCH

So, I decided to start Buck out with a "trial" business before he takes on owning a bank...

For owning a bank, I will be using (and modifying/fixing) Katy_76's functional banking set .. mostly changing the feature of "killing" bank robbers... I am trying to make them get electrocuted instead. And yes, Sims will rob your bank! Or so the mod says...

For now, since Buck Schwabb's hobby was chosen by the game as Nature, I want to make a functional mine and gemstone shop.

The hoity-toity and snooty denizens of Roaring Heights should love it!

Here is Buck's wife, Laura. She is wearing the purse from Katy's bankset which was cloned from the Noodlesoother... however it was glitched because it actually puts Sims immediately in platinum... or maybe it was intentional. Regardless, I removed that. It now gives them a tiny bit of comfort and fun as long as the Sim is wearing it.

I believe that all the things that Buck can find in the mine shaft are sellable through OFB. So, it looks like Buck is going to have to learn Sales in order to sell some precious stones and minerals...

His Born Salesperson trait using Sims 3t2 traits should help tremendously.

I am excited. It's so fun to plan out a future gameplan for my Sims. They need more money so we have to start using Katy 76's functional safes to save money and also own a business AND maybe Laura can get a full-time job. Then, they can buy the bank lot which is 75,000 Simoleons, and Roaring Heights Sims can start buying credit cards! More soon!

concept: a cruise vacation hood where the main hotel is a cruise ship and then all the various shores excursions are their own lots far separated from each other on a big map. the cruise ship lot has a deco dock item with an invisible recolor so you can do port days and ship days.

Artemisia Isles is probably as developed as it can get without doing huge renovations, but all the subhoods are still really early in having stories/styles developed since I just haven't spent as much time with them.

Here's the new stuff I've thought of adding so far - maybe it'd be more exciting if some of this stuff was kind of a surprise, but I can't trust myself to actually follow through with every single one lol so I wanted to share it in case other people want to use similar ideas

i’m currently working on some projects (even though my pc is still having issues, i have chosen to ignore them until i can replace its fan. even if that means turning it off every few hours to let it cool down)

current thoughts (no promises)

i’ve been poking my plantsim default and have decided to try making a cactus-based plantsim. mainly have been looking at images of maractus and cactaurs and saying “what the fuck” to myself over and over again but i have some ideas.

the “human” skins of that set are probably on permanent hold. some part of my mental illness has made handling that many image files not only difficult, but impossible. i may look into having someone else help me make recolors in the future once i have a game plan for the base textures. 

i’m also looking into fixing some texture issues with the rainbow sand desert default i made, and possibly making a couple of undertone recolors. maybe desaturating it would produce the look i’m after. 

also want to redo the grass texture completely... the original idea i had made it very difficult to make a nicely tiling image. will probably have to break out my tablet.

also also also also want to address the fact that some of the hair defaults from my masterpost are probably down. or at least, sfs no longer lists them on my account. i’m most likely not going to reupload them because i plan on improving them as soon as i can figure out how to reliably make mesh defaults.

Hi, I’ve just started playing ts2 and your blog has been really inspiring, unfortunately my computer isn’t the best so I have to limit my cc. I was wondering if you haven’t already could you put together a list of your top 5 most needed/used mods or cc, if it’s not too much a bother thank you

Hi there!It’s always nice to hear this kind of comments <3 thank you so much! It’squite hard to limit the answer to the top 5 and, to be completely honest, Ianswered a “similar” question a while ago and this post I wroteon MTS might be helpful too (especially if youhaven’t decided yet what to play in terms of hoods) - but, of course, I’ll takein account the fact that your PC is not very powerful! :)

I’lldefinitely skip the lighting mod (as wonderful as it is, the game lagssometimes during the dusk/dawn) and any graphic edits in general - maybe youcould try to use a default terrain anyway? In any case, I advice you to get allthe mods listed in the first post of this topic, since they fix some Maxis annoyances and makealso the game run smoothly :)

Ok, now mytop 5 (random order, eh!):

NoSim Loaded: it’s more a fix but it helps keeping the game/household corruption freeand it cleans some specific errors – it’s also a good fix for the “Super Duper Hug”

CommunitySkilling: for Sims to gain skills point when visiting community lots, outsidecollege where should be a default behaviour 

WatchTV from all chairs: this is a must especially if you’re an abuser of theoff-grid placing cheats like me!

PerfectPlants & Gardens: again, a must if you like to decor off-grid, but it makesthe Gardner useless 

Macrotastics:I think this is one of the few “cheating” mods I can’t live without, but youneed it – trust me! It allows you to input an action/series of action for theSims (without having to select individual ones), like “do homework”, “Clean”, “repair”and “pay bills” - a dream coming true!

Bonus (Iknow, I’m a cheater, but I’m bad at lists – actually I think this are someessential hacked objects):

Clothingtools to change appearance and clothing of any sims, including NPC and townies!

Batbox:to clean/wipe away corrupted stuff from your sims/lots – suggest you to getshastakiss versions, is much more pretty :D 

I guessthat’s all, I’m sorry I ended up listing basically everything but with a gamelike The Sims I think it’s hard to stick to the minimum! I hope you will beable to play and have fun on your computer and, please, drop me an ask or opena chat if you need any more help :)
