mariacosway replied to your post “elizabeth hamilton: hufflepuff dolley madison: slytherin (with a hint...”
Maria cosway in gryffindor? because of her attitude and adventurousness and to show the obvious similarities to martha jefferson
aww yes I like that! (and bless you for replying to my old post)
I'm still curious about abigail adams, tbh.
das adlon. eine familiensaga: alma & undine.
If you wanna see a dorky old man laugh at his own jokes and make friends with everyone in different countries then the michael palin travel series are for you

ok but what if during their engagement alex’s constant referencing of all the sex they were going to have on their wedding night and how awesome it was going to be made betsey really uncomfortable?? and we will never knooooooooooow
yep. i mean the letters he wrote to her can be quite funny and affectionate to read, but how could we know for sure how betsey, in her position, felt about this? betsey was (PRETTY surely) a virgin, possibly much more inexperienced than her husband with anything connected to sexuality. she had her own ideal of a perfect wife, so there was all that pressure to 'succeed in satisfying her husband'. of course it's possible that they had a similar sense of humor and great time courting each other, but i would be careful of just automatically assuming that that was the case.
"And the first film we shot together was ‘The Abbey Grange’. And we were running across a field, and he, he…these heels were too high so he was slipping and sliding. And I said, ‘Oh, Edward, take them out! I’ll bend my knees for the rest of the film!’"

I thought these were eggs getting married. I’m so out of it
I think this might be my favorite comment I’ve ever seen on one of my posts
"Marquess of Granby relieving a sick soldier" by Edward Penny, 1765, detail.
Note- The gaiters are very closely fitted. They need to be- They’re what’s keeping rocks and dirt out of your shoes on the march. Loose-fitting gaiters (heck, loose-fitting 2nd Half of the18th C. anything) in films, reenactments, contemporary art, &c. are a particular pet peeve of mine.
Remember when michael palin had some rude interviewers but instead of asking them to leave his home he wALKED OUT OF HIS OWN HOUSE like wtf palin
Will you shut the fuck up? We’re trying to watch TV.
