Basically I have a sibling who has horrible mental health and at every minor inconvinience ends up in a crying and self harming fit, but every attempt we male to help them they answer with agressivity and they're reaññy rude in general, especially when they don't get their way
My therapist said that we should just show them that we're here for them but doesn't matter what we do doesn't help and they say "Everything is horrible" and other suicidal thoughts, but every time they get like this I'm afraid of getting close because on past occasions I've done so I've been shoved around or gotten doors banged on my face.
(I've específically asked them not to bang doors too, my hearing is quite sensitive so the loud noise scares me)
But yeah, no idea what to do :(
Hello dear, I am not expert on mental illness as in my time alive it was hardly ever spoken of in a positive light. However, I do know this sibling of yours is effecting you and others around them as well. I hear you are already speaking to a professional but perhaps you also talk to people in your life who know your situation best. Remember that you cannot help a person who does not want your help, it is not your responsibility to be close to them. You need not be distant of course but it is your siblings choice to become closer now.
As for the doors, perhaps some earmuff might work? Or I have seen Crystal listen to music in her electric earmuffs! You can also research for advice on loud noises specifically if you must.
I hope this helps even if just a smidge. Regardless of your case I, Edwin Payne of the dead boy detective agency, hereby declare you will always have friends here willing to give you a ghostly hug. (Even if you cannot feel it, it shall be there 😊)
