torn between a) being happy that people are starting to like ogilvie and b) being mad that people think they can just come into MY house with MY son after hating on him for the last 9 episodes

some of the Pitt fans are so enthusiastic about hating particular characters it makes you wonder if we are watching the same show. Yes dislike a character that’s fine. Even I, a fan of Ogilvie, who is highly hated, can admit he is kind of an ass sometimes. All the characters are like that. Because there human. You’re not gonna have a one dimensional shit and someone who is quite literally perfect. The writers did a good job at conveying this character is annoying but they are coming around and have good moments(vise versa to). It’s hard to talk about why you like a character when half the fandom is like, “BURN THEM AT THE STAKE”. But whatever.

literally!!! people are so stuck in their hatred of certain characters (mostly ogilvie and santos) that they're not even open to them having development and becoming a character they can understand!!! really weird and close-minded way to watch this show since its characters are notoriously nuanced and flawed

since we know ogilvie went to ucla for undergrad, i've been operating on the assumption that he's from california. this episode, we found out he worked in an er in vermont. what on god's green earth could've been going down in los angeles for him to literally cross the entire country to get away from it!

becca has her own life and a community and love and sex and a diagnosis and has always always had someone in her corner to take care of her, and mel has put her own life on hold for 10+ years to make that happen, has made her life smaller, more manageable, neglected her own needs and desires, has lost out on so much of what it means to be a sister and a friend because she’s had to be a caretaker first, and she feels like it’s all gonna come crashing down after her deposition anyway and now she’s really feeling for maybe the first time the full weight of… jealousy? resentment? towards her sister. coupled with the immense guilt and self-recrimination that has to immediately follow, because she obviously loves her sister and wants her to have all those things and more. but when is it gonna be mel’s turn? oh yeah king sisters angst i couldn’t love you more
