“Ah.” He rested his chin in his hand almost disappointingly. “I guess, I’ll try some grape......You know we don’t have fruit on the isle, so I’m not even sure what I like.” Truth be told, he was really hoping she had brought some pomegranate. That is something he’d been dying to try.

“It kinda does, though? Your dad is my dad’s uncle so we’re. . second cousins?” Ambrose wasn’t really sure how that all worked, honestly. But besides that, wasn’t their entire family tree one big, tangled, interwoven mess? “I am sorry about what happened to you and your dad, though. That was…” Awful? Complicated? Unfair? What exactly was the right word to finish that sentence?

“Don’t waste time thinking about the gods family tree,all that will do is make you feel confused and sick to your stomach.” Alex stated coolly. The god family tree was messed up in so many ways, it was better not to think about it. “What you might be looking for is ‘a terrible crime not just against me, but against every other person on the isle and just another reason to eat the rich.’“ He said almost humorously.

Truth be told, Alex would probably feel better if it was really just him and his dad that had been punished with the isle. It seemed like a totally in character punishment for the gods.......But the mortals were the ones that came up with that idea.
