When Thanos took out T’Challa and turned him to dust

T’Challa would not have been able to go to the ancestral plane and rejoin with his ancestors because he wasn’t properly buried

Just like N’Jobu whose soul stayed in the Oakland house and never rejoined his ancestors

what would make it even worse is if Thanos knew that T’Challa wouldn’t visit the ancestral plane by turning him to dust. He chose to physically kill Loki and he could have physically killed T’Challa but if he has all the infinity stones, what are the chances he knows (or was able to learn about) the significance of the ancestral plane to Wakanda, and more specifically, the Black Panther? Thanos proved more than once that he didn’t just want to kill people, he wanted to rub salt in their wounds. His choice to kill Loki in front of his brother, Thor, and his choice to kill T’Challa by using all the infinity stones are evidence of his desire to subject the avengers to everything he can that will destroy them - because there are some things that are worse than death itself.
