I’ve been torturing @spartanlady16 with angst about Clark and J'onn having met before he took over Hank Henshaw’s life, when he first tried to be Martian Manhunter.

Clark kind of fell in love a bit, watching him be a hero, but then J'onn got fed up with the fear. So he ran away, and Clark understood, but it still hurt.

Then Dr. Danvers and Hank Henshaw went after him. Henshaw came back, without J'onn, without Dr. Danvers, and Clark loses his mind. He storms into the DEO headquarters demanding answers, “Hank” screams back, pulling him away from prying eyes before transforming into J'onn.

“Why are you doing this?” “I have to.” “I can get you out of here.” “No, I need to stay here. I promised Dr. Danvers I’d look after his daughters. After your cousin.”

Shit, the relationship card. The next time Ray was in human form, Ezekiel was going to be sure to give him a piece of his mind over his guardian being a cop who could see right through him. Although, he had a feeling Ray would have a few words of his own on the matter. 

He pursed his lips, glancing away, before glancing back. He hesitated for a second, before he shook his head dismissively.
