Be aware that Andrew Pannell aka AndPan is a rapist local to the Portland Oregon area.

One of his victims has stepped forward.

Witnesses have stepped forward.

He has demonstrated that he is capable of committing violence against young women without remorse and is currently seeking to minimize his visibility as a rapist so that he may continue to have access to the art, comics and zine communities in Portland and the surrounding areas.

In the past he has used these connections to gain access to rape victims and that’s why access to this information is of paramount importance.

Do not continue to allow sexual predators to network in our communities.

He works with children at at Buckman Arts Focus Elementary School.

He is in a band called J. Wellington Wizard

He is involved in programs at the IPRC

He has tabled at Portland Zine Symposium, Short Run Seattle, and possibly others in the PNW (Linework NW, Stumptown Comics Fest etc)

more than anything else in the world right now i absolutely need your support in making andrew pannell visible as the rapist he is. ivy lives off of her work in the art and zine community in portland. she needs this space to survive.

i am also a survivor of abuse and if i needed to regularly face my abuser in silence in order to survive, it would simply mean that i would not. ivy is an incredibly strong person but she needs to be afforded safety.

the comics and zine community has had an extraordinarily bad reputation when it comes to holding abusers and rapists accountable and the only way that ivy will be heard is if everyone who is able will stand beside her.

these conventions have safe space policies but rapists like Andrew are still being admitted. I need help contacting the organizers of these events and letting them know that Andrew Pannell should not be admitted into upcoming cons.

i need help contacting his place of work and venues that book his band.

i need help making sure this person does not hurt anyone else.

i don’t have any physical “proof” bc this all happened irl, at my old apartment. i have the word of my roommates that were there at the time, and my ex who ran into Andrew at a party— when Andrew introduced himself my partner at the time said “i know who you are, i’m ivy’s boyfriend” to which Andrew responded “I know you have probably heard what i did to her but it’s not like that”

he knows he is a rapist. and he must be exiled from our communities.

i will not have him endangering me at my places of work or others, anywhere.

This is an effort to target and humiliate artists who cannot afford to make art “in their free time” as a “hobby”. Lizz Hickey is trying to push forward the idea that the art community around her should exclusively made up of people who are financially secure enough to not need money.

Lizz Hickey is expressing and explicit desire to exist within an community exclusively of middle and upper class people. She seeks to chastise those whose ability to subsist and sustain themselves is different from her own. She wants her peers and the organizations that support her to echo her sentiments and share these ideas with her.

This is a direct effort to remove low income artists from the circles that she participates in.
