I honestly think Will and Mike getting together will be a very gradual thing. I don't think they will kiss and be like "Oh, we should date now. " I think the romantic tension will continue to build between them, but they will be too nervous to discuss it. They would probably be scared about ruining their relationship and also both still be dealing with a lot of internalized homophobia. It wouldn't exactly be miscommunication, but lack of communication. They would probably have a lot of almost kisses, and even an actual kiss before they talk about it. I think by the time they address it, they will practically be boyfriends already.
