I really don’t wanna be THAT person but ‘She Got the Best of Me’ by Luke Combs was originally released in 2014, when he wasn’t as popular. Now that he is more popular, he re-recorded it and it was different. I noticed it in the first 5 seconds that it was. I like his music but the original recording is better. But whatever.

I’m watching the tv right now about the Florida school shooting. One student is talking about her experience and her best friend was shot right beside her and later DIED. Why isn’t anyone doing anything about this? There have been 8 school shootings this year. Why do we make hundreds suffer from this?

I was talking to my grandma tonight while watching SVU. The episode was about equal rights and a rape case and my grandma said, “You know they have all of this ‘me too’ and equal rights and equal pay talk right now. By the time you are an adult and getting a job they will have all of this cleaned up and right.” After she told me this, I had to ask her what kind of experiences she had with this. She told me that when she was a middle school teacher, she also was the girls’ basketball coach. “We had the same amount of games, same amount of players. We had the same job. But the difference was he was a boy coaching boys and I was a girl coaching girl. And the boys’ coach still made over double what I was making.”

Honestly, if you think about it, the world has slowly gotten better with all of this equal rights movement. Back in the 50s and time around there, the wives had to cook, do laundry, clean the house, take care of the kids, etc. All they were worth was for being a housewife. Times now women are realizing they shouldn’t be treated like this and are calling men out for their behavior, no matter the consequences. Just think, there will be a time in the future that this all will be sorted out and both men and women can have the same job and get the same amount of money for it.

It’s getting better. Slowly, but surely.
