Simon Riley had always been a man in control of himself. He'd mastered his mind, his body, and his temper, all to become the perfect killing machine. Analytic, emotionless, efficient. The perfect soldier. Nothing could ever stop him. Nothing could ever tame him. So why the fuck was the new Lieutenant able to make him lose every ounce of control in his body without trying?
Michaela Duarte swore to the heavens that she wouldn't make the same mistake again. She buried herself in her work, shoving her feelings, her past, into a neat little box nestled deep inside her heart, out of reach, so that no one could hurt her ever again. So she could endure. So she could survive. So why the hell was Lieutenant Riley so good at breaching the walls she'd so carefully put up?

Synopsis; Mistakes are made on lonely nights. This is evident in a man's hands on another, and the turmoil of what he has done come after.
1.6k words. Short and sweet
How did he end up like this? Roach’s mind was buzzing with thoughts, mostly regret, but also a small part being exhilaration. Something so taboo so frowned upon, but it felt so good.
As he gazed at the man next to him, a co-worker and dear friend, he felt guilt begin to gnaw at his chest. Rapidly his body began burning with shame, nausea settling in as bile crept up his throat, threatening to force up his dinner.
“Fuck,” he groaned, shuffling out of the other man's embrace and crawling off of the bed, walking to the bathroom as quickly as possible. He hunched over the toilet and began retching, emptying the contents of his stomach into the bowl. When he finished, he spat the remaining liquid out of his mouth and reached for the toilet paper, ripping off a piece and wiping his mouth before dropping it into the toilet and reaching for the leaver.
He sat back and pulled his legs to his chest, resting his forehead on his knees with his arms at his sides.
“What have I done…”
The following days before he returned home were excruciating. He would have time to think of what he would say to Y/N, but inevitably knowing the outcome pained him.
He loved Y/N more than anything in the world, so why did he stray? He asked himself this over and over again, eventually concluding that a month and a half of being deployed left him touch starved and desperate. What a horrible excuse to cheat on your partner. He wanted to kick himself and force himself two days ago to stay in his room all day. Maybe if he played sick he wouldn't have had the temptation, though he doubted it.
There were only three days before he was going home. Why didn’t he wait? He knew Y/N would welcome him with open arms, treat him sweetly and shower him with love and affection. Why couldn't he wait?
As he was driven home in a cab after being dismissed, he felt worry invade his body. His hands were clammy, an uncomfortable warmth spreading throughout his limbs, settling in his throat.
By the time he arrived, it was later than he would have liked. The sun was about to set to allow the moon time to shine, to taunt him with the knowledge of what Roach had done in its presence. He flinched when he noticed the murder of crows on the roof, seven standing and watching him as he opened the door and stepped out, grabbing his duffel bag from the seat next to him and waving the driver goodbye.
He turned back to the house, unease filling his mind as one of the crows tilted its head at him. Their eyes were on him as he walked up to the front door and fumbled with his keys to unlock the front door. When he finally got it open, he sighed with relief, quickly slamming the door behind him to escape the beetie, endless black eyes that assessed him, silently judging every part of his soul.
They knew everything. They hold knowledge and power in their being. They carry secrets between their feathers. What secrets would they share tonight?
Roach takes a few deep breaths before dropping his bag to his side and kneeling to remove his shoes. Y/N emerged from the kitchen with a worried face before it quickly turned to happiness, a wide smile covering his handsome features.
“Hi,” he greeted, fondness written on his face. His head was tilted to the side as he gazed at Roach with a sort of longing.
“Hi, Y/N,” Roach said, pulling off his shoes and setting them to the side before grabbing his bag.
“Leave it, I’ll take care of it later,” Y/N said, waving his hand. “You must be tired.”
Roach just nodded, placing the duffel against the wall and walking towards Y/N who eagerly wrapped his arms around Roach’s shoulders and pulled him into a warm hug.
“Christ, I missed you so, so much, baby,” he whispered, squeezing Roach tight. He buried his face into his neck and breathed in his scent.
Roach hesitantly wrapped his arms around Y/N’s torso, holding him back. Tears stung the back of his eyes as Y/N embraced him, holding him close to his chest.
“I missed you, too,” he said. Y/N kissed Roach’s temple before pulling away.
“Dinner is almost ready if you’d like to sit down,” Y/N said. Roach nodded and wiped his nose with his sleeve as Y/N returned to the kitchen
He made his way to the small dining table and sat down, running his hands through his hair with anxiety. He rubbed his eyes and tried to calm his brain, taking deep breaths and counting down from ten to ground himself.
“Is Camille Giroud Bourgogne okay?” Y/N asked from the kitchen. Roach placed a hand on his chest as he looked back at him. “You look stressed. What’s going on in your brain?” he asked, knitting his eyebrows together.
“Nothing,” Roach lied, a small smile spreading over his face. “It’s been a long month.”
“So, red’s okay?”
“Red is good.”
Y/N hummed in acknowledgement and turned to grab two wine glasses from a cabinet, setting them on the counter before grabbing two plates of blood-red meat, seared medium rare with a wine sauce and green beans plated with it, well seasoned. He set one plate in front of Roach, placing the other at the seat in front of him.
Roach’s mouth watered at the sight, but he refrained from tearing into the meal, instead waiting for Y/N to fetch the wine and the glasses. He poured them each a glass before sitting down.
“I’m glad you’re home,” Y/N said, picking up his wine and taking a sip. Roach nodded before beginning to eat.
They ate quietly, all the while Roach had to think of how to tell Y/N what he had done. There was no way that he couldn't tell him. Rather quickly his appetite failed him and he set down his fork and knife, staring at his half-full plate.
“Are you alright?” Y/N asked, chewing on a piece of meat before setting his utensils on his plate. Roach didn’t respond. His hands twitched on the table. “Gary?”
He looked up and suddenly felt a pang in his chest. Y/N looked so worried for him. For someone who fucked a different man.
“I cheated on you,” he whispered. It was almost inaudible. Y/N thought he heard wrong.
“What?” he asked, eyes scanning his face in hopes of a lie.
“I-” Roach choked, staring back into the eyes of his lover. Was he still allowed to call him that? His mouth was dry as he fought to tell him the truth. “I cheated on you.”
Y/N felt his heart stop. His throat closed up and his face rapidly began burning with… what feeling was this? There’s no way to describe it. Partly embarrassment. Partly shame. Partly betrayal. Mostly horror.
“I slept with someone three days ago,” Roach said, turning to stare at the centre of the table. Y/N whimpered and covered his face with his hands, taking multiple heaving breaths. “I’m so sorry. I’m so-”
“Stop,” Y/N whispered shakily. His shoulders shook violently as he sobbed into his palms.
His eyes burned as he watched Y/N sob near silently in front of him, hunched over in his chair and shaking.
“I didn’t mean to. I was just so lonely, and- and-” he tried to explain, tears welling in his own eyes.
“Please, stop,” he sobbed, pulling his hands away from his face in favour of wrapping his arms around himself
“I’m begging you, Gary.”
“I just-”
“I can’t…” Y/N huffed, his bottom lip quivering. He hung his head and let out a guttural sob. “I can’t,” he whispered.
Roach wiped his eyes and frowned when Y/N stood up, pushing his chair in and taking his plate and wine. He scraped the food into the garbage bin and placed it in the sink before walking away. Roach watched him as he walked into the bathroom and locked it. Maybe he should have waited. Maybe he should have planned more.
Roach cleaned up after both of them before going into their shared bedroom and sitting on the bed. He thought it would be best to wait up for Y/N, but he ended up falling asleep anyway. He dreamt of that mistake, it looming over him like a horrible shadow, and it left him waking up in a cold sweat. The sun was beginning to rise behind the curtains, scaring away the night, but a crow sat on the windowsill. They always know.
He stood from the bed, noticing that Y/N was nowhere to be seen. Panic flooded his mind, and he quickly walked from the bedroom, looking into the living room. He worried when he saw nothing before remembering the bathroom. He walked to the door quietly and hesitated as he raised his fist and knocked lightly.
It was quiet for a long moment before Y/N said quietly, “Come in.”
Roach opened the door. Y/N was sitting in the empty bathtub with the light off. His hands were clasped on his lap. Roach flicked on the light and watched Y/N from the doorway.
Y/N’s eyes were puffy and bloodshot, his face stained with dried tears from sobbing all night. His eyes were fixated on the tile on the wall.
“Who was it?” he finally asked. Roach told him the name of the man, and Y/N simply took in a shaky breath before beginning to cry again. “Of course…”
“What?”
Y/N paused.
“You’ve always looked at him differently,” he said. Roach opened and closed his mouth. “If you want to be with him, it's okay.”
“Why,” Roach began, his head spinning with a headache, “Why aren't you angry? Why won’t you yell at me and cuss me out?”
Y/N turned his head to look at him, their eyes meeting for the first time since the night before.
Summary: You’re stuck rooming with Hotch on your first case with the BAU. You’re confused as to why everyone is shooting you sympathetic glances, but a talk with Hotch himself reveals that he’s a lot softer than he lets on, and that you’re the only one who cared to notice.
Contents/Warnings: Hotch gets the love that he deserves !!!! Some self-doubt/self deprecation, and slight mentions of a typical cm case and its contents
feedback is greatly appreciated! comment, reblog, talk in the tags, send me a message, tell me what you think!
You didn’t think you’d ever looked forward to collapsing in a stiff hotel bed more than you were now. You had just finished day one of your first ever case on the job, and the paranoia settled in your chest almost outweighed your exhaustion.
It didn’t, though. You nearly fell asleep in the van, the snow blanketing the sidewalks as you made your way to your hotel for the night. You had been warned already that the heating system in the hotel was less-than-satisfactory, but you were determined to bury yourself under at least three blankets, and get as much sleep as possible until you had to be up again in the morning.
You were barely able to rouse yourself from your sleepy state when the van was parked, but you hauled yourself out into the snow anyways. Your bag was packed into the trunk, and you waited for Morgan to take his out first, slipping in beside him and letting the bag hang at your side.
You shuffled into the hotel lobby beside JJ, who smiled sympathetically at you. You were sure she’d had her fair share of late nights on the job, and you applauded her for being so strong.
Hotch, who had gone to talk to the receptionist, picked up four room keys, meaning two people per room. Penelope had (reluctantly) joined you for this case, as the local police department was sorely lacking in technological strength. You’d needed all hands on deck to sift through their security camera footage, and who better than your very own technical analyst?
You didn’t have time to plan out a roommate for the night, filing into the elevator with the rest of your team and offering a tired smile at Reid who caught your eye on the way in. Your eyes practically closed in the elevator, the soft hum of the machinery lulling you to sleep even though you were standing up.
Prentiss seemed to notice, snorting softly and bumping against your shoulder. You weren’t very balanced, your eyes shooting open as you stumbled sideways, knocking Hotch against the wall of the elevator. Your face hit his shoulder, your head bumping gently against the wall as he hurried to stabilize you. His hand found a grip around your waist, then flitted quickly to the small of your back once he’d hauled you onto your feet.
“I’m so sorry!” You rushed to steady yourself again, your eyes still panicked from your almost-fall, “I didn’t mean to-”
“Y/L/N,” Hotch let a miniscule, reassuring smile cross his features, “It’s fine. Are you okay? It looked like you hit your head.”
“I’m fine,” You raised your free hand to brush gently over where you’d hit the wall, feeling no residual pain, “It didn’t hurt.”
Hotch nodded at you, his eyes drifting back to Prentiss who stood casually in the corner, chatting with Reid and trying to pretend like she hadn’t been the reason for your fall. You noticed a hint of sternness in his gaze, though you had to look away before you could evaluate it, just in case he caught you staring.
Thankfully, you only had to go to the fourth floor of the hotel. If you had stood in that elevator for much longer, you would have died, either out of exhaustion or embarrassment from ramming into your boss.
Finally the elevator stopped, the doors sliding open before you. You had to let Rossi and Morgan out before you, but you filed quickly behind them, purposely bumping into Prentiss on the way out. She only smirked, and you reluctantly let a smile flit over your face, your friendly teasing amusing to you both.
You had half a mind to ask to room with her, but you didn’t have time to do anything about that before Hotch was turning to face you all. You hadn’t noticed him slip past you to be at the front of the group, and you hoped that he’d missed you shoving Prentiss in the hallway.
“Okay, let’s pair up.” He spoke simply, and you turned to Emily, realizing that she was already headed towards JJ. You floundered slightly, watching as Garcia clung tight to Morgan’s arm, the pair already giggling about some stupid joke.
You sought out Reid next, but he was in the middle of rambling animatedly to Rossi about a documentary that he’d been wanting to share with the man, and not even Rossi’s half-panicked expression at his new roommate was enough to get you to interrupt him and ask to be his roommate instead.
Before you could process the situation, you felt a tentative hand on your shoulder.
“It looks like we’re together for the night.” Hotch murmured, his voice low between you in the dim hallway, “I’m sorry you didn’t have much choice.”
You frowned at his apology, your mouth falling open to ask him to clarify, but he was already taking your bag from your hands, hoisting it over his shoulder and tossing everyone else their keys.
“Everyone meet back at the precinct by seven tomorrow,” Hotch made eye contact with each of his agents, “And get some sleep. We need to be on top of our game.”
You waved a brief goodbye to everyone as Hotch opened his door, catching Morgan’s eye as he mouthed an, ‘I’m sorry,’ at you. His sympathy confused you just as much as Hotch’s earlier statement had, and your frown only deepened, hearing the door click behind you as the lock was turned.
“Go ahead,” Hotch pushed the door open for you, your bag still hiked over his shoulder, “You can pick which bed you want.”
You felt around blindly for a light switch, your fingers curling around it when you felt the cool plastic. A quick flick of the switch revealed not two twin beds, but one queen bed, standing proudly in the middle of the room, like it was taunting you.
Hotch seemed to notice at the same time that you did, a soft, ‘Oh.’ coming from behind you as you stilled in the door. You broke out of your trance a second later, making a beeline for the loveseat that stood against the wall.
“I’ll stay here for the night,” You reached for your bag, but he stepped away from you, frowning skeptically at the sofa.
“You need to get a good night’s sleep, Y/N. This is your first time here, you can’t compromise your health like that. I can take it for the night, it’s okay.”
“No!” You urged, “No, I’d feel so guilty if I made you sleep on that. Seriously, it’s fine, I don’t mind.”
“I do,” Hotch frowned, glancing tentatively at the bed, waiting a moment before speaking again, ‘It’s big enough to share, if you’re comfortable with that.”
You were glad that he’d suggested the somewhat compromising sleeping arrangement, because you hadn’t been looking forward to sleeping on what was sure to feel like cinderblocks. But you didn’t want to push his boundaries, so you had stayed silent.
At his offer you nodded with a soft smile on your face, “That’s fine with me.”
His shoulders relaxed slightly, no longer stiff under the dark fabric of his suit jacket. He set your bag beside the bed, letting his fall to the floor with an unceremonious thump on the other side.
You were glad that you’d showered that morning, not wanting to waste any possible sleeping time in a hotel bathroom.
“I’m gonna shower tonight,” He seemed to have read your thoughts, gesturing to the bathroom, “Did you wanna go first?”
“I’ll take one in the morning,” You waved him off, “Go ahead.”
He nodded, grabbing a change of clothes from his bag and locking himself in the tiny bathroom. You heard the shower turn on while you were reaching for a book in your bag, and you could tell just by the sound of the water that the pressure was terrible. You weren’t looking forward to tomorrow morning.
You busied yourself with your book while Hotch was in the shower, your eyes drooping steadily. You didn’t want to go to sleep yet, though, because if Hotch came out of the shower and saw you asleep, you knew he’d make an extra effort to be quiet, and you didn’t want to inconvenience him.
Your eyes scanned the page in front of you, but your mind wandered. Why had both Morgan and Hotch apologized to you before you got inside? What were they apologizing for? You tried wracking your brain, but the only thing you could think of that would warrant an apology was Prentiss knocking you over in the elevator, and even she hadn’t apologized for that.
You finally gave into your curiosities when you heard the shower shut off, grabbing your phone and pulling up Morgan’s contact.
Hey, you typed, your fingers slightly less nimble than they normally were as you fought your exhaustion, Why did you apologize earlier? What were you sorry for?
He replied fairly quickly, and you rolled your eyes fondly at the knowledge that he wasn’t asleep yet. You weren’t sure if he or Penelope would sleep at all that night, too caught up in giggling and making jokes and enjoying each others’ presence.
‘You got the short end of the stick. No one ever rooms with Hotch. You’re gonna have a long night.’
Why? You replied, your brows furrowing. Did he kick in his sleep? Did he snore? Did he set obnoxious alarms for way too early in the morning?
‘Are you kidding? He’s a hardass! I can’t imagine sharing a room with him, is he barking orders at you? Has he demanded you be in bed, lights out yet?’
He’s not always like that, You scoffed lightly at Morgan’s judgements, He’s a normal person??
‘I think I’ve seen him smile twice.’
Well that sounds like he’s got nothing to smile about around you, You typed out bitterly, uneasiness growing in your chest as you realized why Hotch was probably so reserved around the office, And I wouldn’t either if my coworkers expected me to bite their heads off 24/7.
You didn’t bother replying to whatever half-joke that Morgan made back, setting your phone on the nightstand with a huff. Something inside of your chest ached as you realized that your team regarded your boss as only that, and never considered the person that he was outside the office. You were well aware that Hotch had been through significant trauma in his life, and was surlier than most. But you also knew that he wasn’t like that all the time. You’d seen him smile three times over the past two days, all centered around pictures and videos of his son that he’d been sent. Apparently no one was looking hard enough at their boss to see who he was underneath the title, and his mannerisms made sense now.
The bathroom door opened, and Hotch stepped out onto the thick hotel carpet. You glanced up from your book and offered him a smile at his reentry, and you saw the neutral frown on his face lift slightly.
“Aren’t you tired?” He gestured to the book in your hands, and you shrugged.
“I didn’t wanna pass out and then force you to tiptoe around for the rest of the night. I’ll sleep soon.”
His face fell slightly, and he wrestled with his suit jacket, slipping it over the hanger that he’d stored his dress shirt on, “Y/N, I’m sorry for making you think…” He started, but his face darkened even more and he thought better of it, shaking his head, “You- you can go to sleep. I want you to rest well, this is your first case on the job and you need to take care of yourself.”
You didn’t point out his usage of your first name, but it only further proved your point. He dropped his professional air in the privacy of the hotel room, addressing you as a person and not as a subordinate.
“No, no, it’s okay. I actually wanted to ask you something,” You set your book aside, shifting your body so that you were facing him as he hung up his suit, “Is that okay?”
“Go ahead,” He looked confused, a frown wrinkling his brows, “Is everything okay?”
“You tell me,” You let out a breathy laugh, “Why do you keep apologizing?”
“What do you mean?”
‘First you apologized when we paired up for the night. Now you’re apologizing because I wasn’t already asleep. What are you sorry for in both of those scenarios?”
A resigned smile crossed his features at your words, a pretty sight but one that saddened you, “I’m very well known among the team as the one to avoid rooming with.”
“Do you kick in your sleep or something?” You voiced a concern from earlier, “‘Cause if I’m gonna end up on the floor, I’ll just take the couch.”
“I think you’d be better off sleeping on the floor than the couch,” Hotch threw a disdainful glance at the sofa in the corner, “But no, I think everyone’s just scared to room with their boss.”
“That’s dumb.” You huffed, your words deepening the smile on his face, “It’s not like we’re on the clock or anything.”
“I’m sure I’m not the best company either way,” He mused, his eyes anywhere but meeting your own, “I don’t blame them for avoiding me.”
As his smile widened, your frown did the same. He spoke of his terrible reputation with a wistful air, like he wanted to change it but didn’t know how, or didn’t think he could. The ache in your chest felt like it was splitting you apart by now, the man standing in front of you wringing your heart out with his admission.
“You’re great company.” You spoke, and you watched his eyes widen slightly. He froze for a second, then his hands continued fumbling with his tie, his cheeks growing rosy.
“I’m glad you think so,” He murmured, “Haven’t heard that in a while.”
“Hotch,” You crawled across the bed, kneeling on his side, “Do you believe them?”
“What do you mean?” He hummed, though he continued fussing with his belongings instead of looking at you.
“Do you believe the team when they make jokes about you? About how you’re no fun, or that you’re too serious?”
“I am too serious,” He let out a breathy laugh, “Just because they’re made as jokes doesn’t mean they’re not true.”
“But you’re not always like that!” You urged, “You have a life outside of work. Just because they don’t always see it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t exist, or that it’s not really you. I’ve seen you smile, and laugh, and crack jokes, and I’ve only been here for a month.”
“I…” Hotch started, opening his mouth to speak and shutting it again quickly. You could see the conflict brewing behind his eyes, then finally he found his voice again, “Why are you doing this?”
“Why am I doing what?”
“Why are you trying to persuade me that I’m fun to be around?”
“Because you are.” You spoke plainly, shifting your legs so that they hung over the side of the bed, “And I don’t want you to keep thinking you’re not.”
“I appreciate your efforts,” Hotch let a smile break through his expression again, this time much more genuine and positive, “But you’re going to have to listen to them say stuff like that for as long as you work here.”
“Well they can say whatever they want, we’ll know it’s not true.”
Hotch’s smile only grew, and he shook his head slightly, glancing down at the ground, “You’re very persistent.”
“Is it working?”
“Yes,” He finally glanced up at you, appreciation painted over his face, “Thank you, Y/N.”
“Anytime,” You grinned, scooting back to your side of the bed, “And if they ever bother you again, I’ll take care of ‘em.” You waved a fist in the air threateningly, and it drew an incredulous laugh from Hotch who crawled under the blankets beside you, occupying the spot you’d just vacated.
“I’d love to see Prentiss’s face when she realizes you’re my protector now.”
The teasing title warmed your heart, as did the soft smile on Hotch’s face. He looked comfortable, not only physically in his flannel pajama bottoms and t-shirt, but emotionally as well, if his eyes lingering on your own was any evidence.
“I’d love to get her back for pushing me in the elevator,” You recalled nearly tipping Hotch over, “Just say the word and I’ll attack.”
You could tell that your joke amused him, but at the mention of the near-disaster earlier, his smile faded. He reached out without thinking, the gesture somewhat intimate in the bed between you, his fingers brushing softly over the spot on your head that you’d bumped.
“Are you-” He intended to make sure you were okay, but he seemed to realize just how intimate the touch really was, blushing softly once more, “Sorry, I didn’t think- I just wanted to make sure…”
“It’s fine,” You waved off his concerns, slightly disheartened when he pulled his hand away, “My head doesn’t hurt at all.”
“Do you remember your name?” He recovered from his momentary awkwardness quickly, raising one eyebrow in a teasing expression.
“No,” You let out a yawn, the gesture aiding your sentence perfectly, “But I think that’s because of how tired I am, not because I have a concussion.”
“I hope you’re right.” Hotch murmured, reaching blindly behind him to feel for the light switch, pointedly not turning away from you, “Good night, Y/N.”
“Night Hotch,” You mumbled, your eyes slipping shut, “See you in the morning.”
He hummed softly, flicking the light off and settling his head on the pillow, “You can call me Aaron.”
“Tomorrow,” Your brain could barely form the thoughts you wanted to get out, too consumed already by exhaustion, “I’m too sleepy tonight.”
He let out a soft laugh, and you felt his knee gently graze yours beneath the blankets, “Right, tomorrow.”
--
It turned out that Aaron didn’t set obnoxious alarms for way too early in the morning, his phone chiming at only six-thirty. You weren’t even sure if you’d be able to make it to the precinct on time, but you appreciated the extra sleep.
You were much closer than you remembered being to Aaron in the queen bed, the both of you having shifted in your sleep to be pressed against one another. One of his hands was wound around your waist, the other beneath your head, acting as your pillow. One of your hands was resting between you two, spread out over his broad chest, as the other was slung over his shoulders. The proximity left a strange, warm feeling in the pit of your stomach, but you chalked it up to the stifling heat you’d awoken to.
Aaron’s alarm was still chirping on the nightstand, but apparently he couldn’t hear it from where he was burrowed into the crown of your head. Your face was tucked neatly into his neck, and you felt his breath fan out over your skin. You smiled fondly at the way he’d snuggled up to you in his sleep, knowing full well that he hadn’t intended to, and would be adorably bashful once he found out.
You kept your promise from the night before, gently patting his shoulder when he didn’t stir at the alarm, “Aaron,” You mumbled sleepily, “Aaron, it’s time to get up. We’ve gotta get back to the precinct.”
He groaned gruffly, his arms only tightening around you. You giggled softly at his haziness, this time patting his chest, “Come on! We’ll get so much shit if we’re late.”
He stayed still for a moment, but you could feel him gradually waking up, a long sigh escaping him after a yawn, “I thought you said it didn’t matter what the team said.”
You groaned as he quoted your statement from the night before, reluctantly wriggling away from him, “Yeah, but I also wanna find this woman and go home.”
He seemed to agree with that argument, his arms loosening in their grip around you. You blinked slowly as you woke yourself up completely, and because of the way that Aaron had pulled back, his face was level with yours. You felt his eyes on you, and you blearily stared at him too, returning the soft smile that he gave you.
“You slept well?” You guessed at the reason for the bashful grin on his face.
“Best I’ve slept in forever,” You decided not to look into his flattering statement too far, your eyes glued to his own as you agreed.
“Me too.” You prolonged the eye contact for moment, and you could have sworn that he shifted slightly closer to you. Your heart began racing, any leftover drowsiness from waking up completely gone as you watched him inch forward. Your hand was still braced on his chest and you let your fingers curl gently into the front of his shirt, ready to let your eyes slip closed when his phone rang on the nightstand.
He froze, his lovesick gaze on you remaining for only a moment. Then, he was arching backwards, grabbing the phone from his nightstand and sitting up to hold it to his ear. Your hand fell away from his chest, and you caught your breath while he spoke to whoever was on the end of the line.
“Yeah, we’re coming.” He rubbed a hand over his face, still clearly half asleep, “We’ll be there soon.”
He hung up, setting the phone back on his nightstand and turning to face you. You hauled yourself upright, your heart still pounding in your chest. You would give anything to be trapped in that singular, serene moment until the end of time, the closeness and intimacy of what could have been tempting you more than anything ever had before.
“We’re a little late,” He smiled fondly at you while you checked your phone, “We should head over there now.”
“I’ll go get dressed,” You gestured to the bathroom, “I’ll be right back.”
You missed the way that his eyes tracked you as you headed into the bathroom, your clothes for the day in hand. A certain adoration lined his eyes, and he had to shake himself out of his daze to get himself dressed.
You were changed faster than he thought you’d be, because when you stepped out of the bathroom once more, he was half-naked. His slacks were unzipped, his chest on full display as he fumbled with the buttons of his shirt. Your cheeks flared, and he bit his cheek, containing the smirk that threatened to slip past his lips as you hurried to your side of the bed, shoving your pajamas in your bag haphazardly.
He tucked his now-buttoned shirt into his slacks, buttoning them and reaching for his belt. He saw the way that your eyes lingered on his hands while they slid the leather strap through the loops on his slacks, and he basked in your attention.
“We can grab breakfast on the way,” Next he went after his tie, slinging it haphazardly over his neck, “There’s this place down by the precinct that we can drive-” He stopped dead in his sentence as he reached for his bag, feeling your hand on his arm. You turned him to face you, your eyes flitting to the tie over his neck rather than his own that stared down questioningly at you.
Your fingers twisted the tie around itself, brushing against his chest far more often than they needed to. But he relished the contact, finally letting his smile grow over his cheeks once more as you tied his tie.
You adjusted it once the knot was in place, tightening it to his neck and tugging at his collar when it threatened to crease, “There.”
“Thanks.” At his voice, you looked up at him, and your eyes widened slightly with just how close you were.
You were trapped in another one of those suspenseful moments, the ones that had your heart fluttering and your breath catching in your throat. You so desperately wanted Aaron to kiss you, and he so desperately wanted you to kiss him, but all anyone did was stare into the other’s eyes. Your smiles grew the longer you stared, his eyes twinkling in adoration as yours shimmered similarly in excitement.
You stood frozen, close enough to each other that you shifted forwards slightly, and were pressed against his chest. Your bold move seemed to give him all of the confirmation that he needed, and his large, rough hands came up to cup your cheeks, tilting your face upwards. He leaned down in one confident swoop, his lips pressing to yours as his eyes fell shut.
Your hands twisted themselves desperately in the collar of his suit jacket, tugging him impossibly closer to you by the fabric. He seemed to understand what you wanted, deepening the kiss while setting a hand on your hip, tugging you in closer. Your cheek was cold now that Aaron’s hand wasn’t covering it, but the warmth that his lips brought you filled your chest and flushed to your cheeks, heating you right back up.
You let out a soft hum into the kiss, a sound that made his hand tighten in its grip around your hip. His tongue swiped sensually over your lower lip, and you wanted nothing more than to part your lips, granting him the access he so confidently sought.
You would have done it, too, if there hadn’t been rampant pounding on the door only seconds after he’d kissed you.
“Guys,” Morgan’s voice was slightly annoyed, something you’d never heard from the man directed at his boss, “Come on! We’re all waiting on you, are you even up?”
Aaron sighed, breaking away from the kiss and resting his forehead against yours. He had a sheepish grin on his face, making him look as youthful as you’d ever seen him, and he mumbled an apology against your lips.
“We’ll continue this later?” He murmured, keeping his voice low enough so that Morgan couldn’t hear it from outside.
“Definitely,” You nodded, for once hoping that you’d drag out the case long enough to stay another night, “I think we should start rooming together more often.”
Aaron reluctantly let you go as the knocking intensified, but the soft smile was still lingering on his face, “They’re gonna think you’re crazy.”
“Let them,” You started for the door, swinging it open and dodging Morgan’s fist which was still knocking on nothing, not noticing that you’d opened the door. The man glared exasperatedly at you, expecting an explanation as to why you'd been so unresponsive, but you didn't grant him one. Instead, you turned back to Aaron, who had stiffened slightly at the near-accident, sending him a reassuring smile, “I don’t care.”

🎸 Axel's been in many relationships with both men and women alike, but all of his little flings felt nothing more than that, just flings.
🎸 And he was content with it, I mean being a famous rockstar meant lots of people wanting a chance with you and he indulged in that fact.
🎸 He could sleep with whoever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and he wouldn't have to deal with the commitment that comes with dating or any of that messy stuff.
🎸 So why the hell can't stop thinking about you ?!?!?!!
🎸 He scratched his head trying to make sense of it, his messy hair getting even more ruffled as he tries to get the image of your smile out of his head.
🎸 You were in a miscellaneous store full of alt clothing, trinkets and various other stuff when he walked in with his bandmates.
🎸 It was fairly normal when he came in the store. It was dim with some random punk song playing faintly in the background. His friends started exploring, looking at the graphic t-shirts and mugs shaped like skulls and the like.
🎸 He got a bit bored and wandered to the other side of the store. It had posters, candles and..who's that?
🎸 There you were, staring longingly at a plush toy sitting on one of the shelves, just standing there.
🎸 He didn't think much of it, probably just some person baked out of their mind. "Hey buddy, you doin' good?"
🎸 You snap out of your gaze and look at the big hulking man in front of you. You stutter out an apology and explain your little misfortune.
🎸 "So you want this..toy...but you can't afford it..?" He raises a brow at you as you nod, making him chuckle.
🎸 He thought for a moment, looking at the stuffed creature, well it wouldn't hurt to buy it for you, he's pretty well off from all the gigs and concerts he's been in so...
🎸 "How 'bout I buy this thing for ya then? But you owe me~" He winks, thinking he could score some quick sex for being such a 'gentleman'
🎸 But no, instead of a blush or a knowing smirk, you just looked at him with the widest, most innocent eyes he's ever seen, you were practically shaking with joy as he said it.
🎸 You thanked him profusely before listing off things you could do in return, treating him to some food, buying something for him in return, plain paying him back..he was a bit surprised.
🎸 "O-oh...uhm that was a joke heheh, y-you don't have to do all that babe..." He blushes.
🎸 The two of you head to the cashier, his friends spying from behind the aisles as his gaze is locked on the little ball of cuteness beside him.
🎸 Seriously? Did you even know who he was? This has never happened before...most of the time, he would pay for someone's drink or something and they'd be on his dick in seconds, but you, you were so..different...it felt nice..
🎸 You didn't even get it in a bag, you immediately took the plush after it was paid and hugged it close.
🎸 so cute so cute so cute so cute so cute!!!
🎸 "Hey uh..so me and my buds are in a band and uhm..wanna maybe..watch our next gig?" He asks nervously, he's never been so shy towards anyone!!
🎸 You agree, thinking it's the least you could do for what he did for you.
🎸 You take out your phone, Axel can't help but grin at the case, it was cute, like you~..
🎸 "Here's my number if..you need it.." You smile at him, that smile..that damn cute smile...you had his heart wrapped around your finger at this point.
🎸 "Th-thanks sugar..I'll see you there.." He smiles back as you part ways, he heads back to his friends who were bombarding him with questions as he watches you skip out of the store with your new little soft friend.
🎸 That night, he was getting ready for the show when he got a message notification and sees that you sent a picture of the show from one of the seats with some text "Good luck out there!"
🎸 His face was on fire as he realized you were there, he peeks out in the crowd and there you were, your little plush toy in tow.
🎸 You look so out of place from the people in spiky jewelry and dark outfits, you were just in a hoodie and baggy pants, albeit the hoodie had a MCR design on it, but you can tell it was very soft compared to the rest of the audience.
🎸 Finally it was time for the show to begin and it was the most passionate he's been in a while, it seemed as if the words he was singing were dedicated to you and you alone.
🎸 The little glances at you made you giddy, like a friend seeing their bestie perform, you were cheering excitedly for him, not in a fangirly way, but one of genuine support and amazement.
🎸 After the performance, Axel tried finding you, but the crowd was too big and he assumed you must have left already.
🎸 Wait..why is he being so buddy buddy with you? You just met today! It's not like you two were best friends or anything!
🎸 He tried dismissing the thought of you, tried distracting himself by flirting with other people, but he could only think about you, and making you smile like that again..
🎸 no no no! get out of my head!
🎸 Maybe a little fling can ease his mind?
🎸 Even on his bed with some random girl after show, he can still think of you.
🎸 Would your skin be as soft? or maybe softer? How would your hair smell? He bets your moans would sound delicious..
🎸 shit FUCK!!
🎸 Even after his one night stand, he kept thinking of you
🎸 He stares at your messages, you sent a lot of pictures of your plush toy doing goofy things to him, so cute..so silly...he can't help but smile.
🎸 He decides to look you up on social media and..
🎸 Wait a minute...you make music too?
yep this was a bit short but idk man i love making you guys suffer <3 stay tuned for part 2 (i am actually out of ideas guys please request me please please ple-)

You wince as the fabric of your school uniform rubs against the raw spot on your shoulder. This is bad, you think, craning your neck to try and peer at the offending area. A sliver of blood clings to the tattered edges of the hole in your pale blue shirt.
You're going to have to ask the academy to supply you with a new uniform.
"Could you maybe slow down for a second?" You huff, struggling to keep up with Coriolanus' quick strides.
"We're late for class." He doesn't even bother to look back at you.
"Maybe you should've taken that possibility into account before taking an excursion to the Capitol Zoo to hold hands with dear Lucy Gray."
To be fair, you did agree to go with him, and neither of you expected to be dumped into a zoo enclosure like that. Still, with your luck, you managed to hit one of the rocks with your shoulder, which resulted in this nasty scratch along the back of your shoulder.
From now on, you'll be sure to avoid joining Coriolanus Snow on any future adventures. The guy managed to get you both trapped in an armored vehicle with a group of people who had multiple reasons to kill you on the spot. Not your definition of a good time.
You always thought of him as a calm, cautious, and calculated individual. Not some impulsive fool.
You gingerly press your fingers against the wound. Bad idea. A string of curses falls from your lips as the burning pain instantly intensifies.
Coriolanus finally stops to turn around at the noise, glaring at you before noticing the mess on your shoulder. His eyes soften as he realizes, and his posture suddenly becomes stiff and uncertain.
You nearly bump into him, not realizing that he's stopped abruptly. He reaches out and pulls back the edges of the tear in your shirt as carefully as he can to inspect the damage. Despite his caution, the action causes it to sting, making you recoil reflexively.
"It's not that bad." You reassure him. "It just burns a little."
He shakes his head, his tone a mixture of worry and irritation. "There's dirt in it. We need to clean it."
"Oh." You murmur, gazing at the dark specks stuck to your fingertips.
He grabs your arm and drags you to the nearest restroom, not even giving you a chance to protest. The sight of him ushering you through the door like this would probably appear a bit strange to outsiders; luckily, the hallways are completely empty during class hours.
He positions you at the nearest sink and pulls a handkerchief out of his breast pocket to moisten it. As you reach for it, intending to clean the injury yourself, he instructs you to remove your shirt instead.
"What?"
"Do you want a wet spot on your uniform for the rest of the day? Take it off."
You decide to comply, hesitantly removing your blazer and unbuttoning the first few buttons of your shirt. He's right after all, the earliest you'd be able to go ask for a new uniform would be lunchtime, if even that.
He pulls the collar down over your shoulder, exposing part of your chest as well. Then, with a quick tug on your waist, he draws you in closer, almost knocking you over. Is it really necessary for him to be this rough?
Heat spreads from the back of your neck to your cheeks, feeling a bit too vulnerable with half of your torso out in the open. The proximity doesn't help either. Coriolanus Snow is a stunningly beautiful man, a bit cold, but mesmerizing nonetheless. And now you're mere inches away from him, his brows knitted in concentration as he dabs at the blood and grime on your skin with a wet handkerchief.
Your eyes fall to his plush lips. It almost makes you mad at how nice his features are. Does he know how big a role he played in your discovering your sexuality? How confusing that was for you? You've been fighting your attraction to him for so long now, and it's all coming crashing down on you at this very moment.
No point in getting your hopes up, you think, he's way out of your league and most likely not even interested in boys. After all, why would he let Clemensia cling to his arm like that at all times if he was? Actually, that's your jealousy talking. You should stop thinking about it this much.
You hiss when he wipes over the worst spot of the scrape. He mumbles an insincere apology in response, placing a hand on your neck to keep you from moving. This is hell.
You keep your gaze trailing down along his neck and across the expanse of his ridiculously broad shoulders, tracing his figure. The way the fabric stretches to accommodate them. Is this inappropriate?
"Okay." He breathes, leaning back to once-over his work and carelessly tossing the dirtied handkerchief into the sink when he's satisfied.
An awkward silence settles between you, with his hand still resting on your flushed skin. An uncomfortably hot, buzzing feeling spreads throughout your abdomen when he catches you shamelessly taking in his features.
"Thank you." You try to ease the tension, nervously clearing your throat.
He remains silent, a strange glint in the way he analyzes your face instead. Why does this man have to be so hard to read? You don't miss the way his eyes flicker down to your partially bare chest, though.
Oh?
You feel your heart skip a beat.
Before you can even think of putting an end to this uncomfortable interaction, he swiftly pulls you into him, pressing his soft lips against your own. It takes you a few moments to realize what's going on, and you scramble to return the kiss as best you can. You cup the side of his face, angling your head to keep your noses from bumping against each other.
Every part of your mind is going haywire right now; there isn't a single coherent thought as he presses his body against yours. It almost feels as if he's trying to breathe you in, like a starving man hailing down upon a banquet. He barely leaves room for you to catch your breath, let alone wonder what is happening.
The heat radiating off him threatens to reduce you to a puddle at his feet.
You eventually withdraw for your lungs' sake. You're met with his hungry, dark eyes, though he appears to be a little surprised by his own brashness. The way he's looking at you sends a pleasant shiver down your spine.
With your mind blank and his scent alone having robbed you of words, you shakily pull out your own handkerchief and place it in his palm. He peers down at it, your initials in royal blue stitching staring back at him.
"I'll get yours cleaned for you. It's the least I can do." You breathe. You're not quite sure whether you should remove your hand from where it's resting on his jawline right now. Reluctantly, you let your arm fall back to your side.
He nods absentmindedly, his fingertips caressing the silky blue fabric. A small smile plays at the edges of his mouth. "We should, maybe, actually get to class now. Highbottom will flay us."
"Oh, he definitely will." You laugh, already hearing his reprimands echoing in your head. He'll be calm but ruthless, in true Highbottom fashion, of course.
Coriolanus smoothes his hands over your blazer and brushes back a few loose strands of your hair as he assists you in buttoning up your shirt again. You return the favor by tucking some of his angelic locks behind his ear and wiping a small smudge of dirt from his uniform he'd missed before.
To avoid soaking any of your books, his father's bloody handkerchief finds a place in one of the empty front pockets of your cross-body bag.
He yanks on your collar, bringing you in for one last, sweet kiss before finally steering you back out the door. Your heart feels as though it's bouncing off the hallway walls, soaring high above you somewhere in the sky between clouds.
As you both run down the corridor towards Highbottom's lecture hall, he grabs your hand, forcing you to keep up with his pace.
Hope nestles in between your ribs, daring you to contemplate what this could mean for your and Coriolanus' relationship. Was a bond like this between two academy boys even allowed in the Capitol? Is this just a meaningless, spur-of-the-moment kiss for him, or does it mean more?
You're holding out hope that it's more than just an impromptu make-out session. Anything else would probably just end up crushing you, especially after all those years of silent adoration.
His snowy locks bounce with each of his steps. You can't help but burst into a big, giddy smile and tighten your grip on his soft hand.
If only you knew.
Coriolanus felt the outline of your initials press against his chest, your name having replaced his father's in the space above his heart.
It took everything in him not to press his nose into it to inhale your scent when you handed it to him. Luckily, he already got to taste you, even if just for a brief moment.
All that matters is that he has you wrapped around his finger now, and he won't let up until he has you ensnared in his web. He'll have full control over you. He'll be the one to pull the strings, and you won't be able to outshine him anymore. You will be nothing more than an extension of him, no longer a threat to his position as the winner of the Plinth Prize or in the Capitol in general.
To him, love, fear, and obsession are all the same. And he's been watching you for a very long time now. You just so happened to play right into his hands with your naivety and the affection you held for him.
Any sort of power your name and lovely little face may hold will be his. After all, Coriolanus Snow is not a wasteful person. No, you're too sweet to throw away and discard just like that.
And what a spectacle it will be! The Capitol's two pretty boys hand in hand at the very top. He can already see you by his side as he sits on his throne. You'll make a fine trophy husband, he muses.
If only you knew that the small act of offering him your personal handkerchief would ultimately be the very thing to pull you down the icy spiral that is Coriolanus Snow's descent into madness.
The one thing to betray you and irreversibly intertwine your destiny with his. Leading you down a path of loss, bitterness, and resentment, only to realize that every string of the web leads right back to him.
You poor, lovesick fool.

For bottom male/trans masc readers! Reader is mentioned to have a cock. The character can be anyone you want~ use that imagination!
You only wanted to kick him out. It was high time you kicked out the leech that was always late to paying his half of the rent. You told yourself time and time again.
But here you were again—back arched, legs shaking while you gripping the bed sheets beneath you. You still had your work pants on. He still had on his stupid baggy jeans.
His hand gripping your waist. Was his hands always that strong? He easily pulled you back and forth on his leg, your cock rubbing against it. Even through the fabric of clothes, you felt it.
You felt it so much. Even when he bounced his leg a bit—causing you to scream. You had a growing wet spot over your bulge. You wanted to cum so bad but he always stopped whenever you got close.
He could always tell. He knew you so well. You were so busy trying to gain more friction on his leg—he didn’t even have to move you anymore—that you didn’t notice the camera aimed directly at you.
Getting your pretty face, mouth opened with grunts and moans. Eyes watering. Your hair sticking to your sweaty face. He’d whisper sweet little things.. make you forget why you even wanted to break up.
You were too busy chasing your release—you didn’t notice that he was still streaming. Though the streaming camera wasn’t on you, the audio picked up every whimper and cry. Oh, his audience could hear you so well.
As soon as you’d get close, gyrating yourself on his leg, he’d grab your waist. You could never see his face from your position.. but he’d always have a cruel smirk.
He got you where he wanted.
With ease, he’d move you so your cock rests on his knee and he’d harshly push against it. Bouncing your cock against his knee—earning the simple “uh, uh, uh~”. It hurts. It really fucking hurts. But you like it. You like it so much you cum.
Right in your office pants. Shame, you just washed them yesterday. Your toes curl as you scream out, the finale of your show coming to an end. The audience you didn’t know about were applauding… you sounded so hot!
He’d push you off and spank your ass, enjoying the little twitch you had from the overstimulation. You’d be too busy trying to gain back your strength to notice him turning off the stream and getting the hidden camera.
Soft kisses on your lips. He’d give you a smile and say he’ll start a bath.. that he’s happy that you were able to get the stress off your mind.
Yeah.. yeah, that’s what you came to him for. Stress.
God, this job is such a pain. You should probably figure out when you can have a day off.
So you can spend it with your lovely boyfriend <3

Hello!! I hope you’re doing well <3 I was wondering if I could request a Thomas Shelby x Male reader. Reader is the head of a gang from another town and known for being a sarcastic a-hole. His power is similar to Thomas‘ + he kinda has a thing for him and flirts nonstop whenever he gets the chance to interact with Tommy. The Reader never engaged in activities that would cause serious harm to the blinders but he provokes them from time to time just to get Tommys attention. He opens a Pub in the blinders territory and uses it for his own gang and then Shelby finally confronts him, is about to start a literal gang war after the big amount of provocation over the months but the reader just thinks him being mad is hot asf. They kinda start to argue and maybe you can add that the reader saved Tommys life in the war (but they were enemies on front lines) Tommy can only remember the tattoo his saviour has on the back of his hand. And then he sees the tattoo and instantly remembers.
I’d be so happy if you’d write it because I really love all your stories and I haven’t been reading anything else the last three days 🥲🥲
Hi! Thank you for loving my stories and thank you for even requesting my friend! I hope you like this one! And have a nice day!
THOMAS SHELBY X GANG LEADER MALE READER
Quick little background.
"L/N..." The last name that his been running around through everyone in Birmingham.
A new gang in a different town somehow caught almost everybody's attention in Birmingham. The town wasn't too far from Birmingham, but it was a good distance between both towns.
The gang has been doing many things. Like robbing banks from different towns, getting families out the streets, and what really caught everyone by surprise was a special types of business they ran.
They ran business/ motels full of prostitutes all of the workers different sizes and colors hell they even had men working for them. Some of the gang's bars weren't just regular bars they were gay.
And that's only the business side of them. The more known part of them was their leader. Y/n L/n. He was a sarcastic asshole who knew what he wanted and would do anything to get there. The gang have done cruel things to their enemies and sometimes allies.
The gang had gotten almost too powerful and reckless for only a short amount of time.
And sadly the Leader of the Peaky Blinders have gotten an earful about them everyday. Everyday there was a complaint about them from his men and other people. So to keep the peace Tommy had arranged a meeting with both leaders privately.
Background over!
Tommy walked inside the unfamiliar building with his hands deep inside his coat. Tommy's cold blue eyes looked around keeping note of how many men are patrolling.
Many people of different genders and colors of all sizes were moving around the building freely as they worked without a single sign of hate or discomfort. The workers played around, but got the job done.
"Mr Shelby?"
Tommy turns his head to the side looking at the woman. The woman had a bright smile and a hand out.
Hello, my name is Mrs Ramos it's a pleasure to finally meet." She says with a trusting smile as Tommy takes her hand shaking it. "Where's L/n?" Tommy says wasting no time.
"He's in his office sir. Please let me guide you." Mrs Ramos says already turning around walking leaving Tommy no room to talk.
"What's your relationship with Mr L/n?" Tommy says striking up a conversation.
"I'm his right hand's man wife on a more personal level. But here I'm the secretary around this place." She answers as she guides Tommy through many hallways and different rooms. Tommy hums as he digs inside his pocket for a cigarette.
"Here we are." Mrs Ramos says looking at Tommy to see his reaction to the name plate above the door.
"Y/N WHORE L/N" With bold bright letters above the door.
"Whore?" Tommy questions with a raised brow and a puzzled expression. Mrs Ramos tries to contain her giggles.
"One of his older nieces made it for him as a birthday gift." She says trying to help with the confusion as she pulls the door open for him.
Tommy looks at the long hallway as there are many people in seats waiting.
"Are these men waiting?" Tommy questions as he lights the cigarette taking a deep inhale.
"Yes sir. The boss put all his meetings on hold for yours. So whatever you two are talking about must be important. So just walk down that hallway you'll see the door and just step inside." The woman says before adding.
"Good luck Mr Shelby~" She says as if shes teasing him before turning around on her heels walking away.
The shelby inhales the smoke for one last time as as he walks inside the long hallway.
Tommy could feel all the men's eyes burn into them. Some with confusion and most with anger and hate. Tommy only ignores them and keeps walking straight ahead.
Soon enough Tommy reaches the door and opens inside his eyes meeting the back of who he's guessing Mr L/n's.
"How many times I've got to tell you fuckers to stop bothering me!" Mr L/n's shouts without even turning to see who it is.
"Mr L/n." Tommy says as he walks to the seat across from his desk.
Spinning his chair around looking at the man who just sat in his chair.
"Mr Shelby? I've thought you were one of those idiotic men outside my door. I should have known only people with cold stone hearts could open my door." Y/n jokes as he leans back into his chair.
"But I have to say... You're much prettier than the way that my man stalked you have described. But they did have one thing right. Your eyes are beautiful." Y/n says with a smile as he reaches inside his drawer getting to glasses.
"You sent people to stalk me?" Tommy says ignoring the way Y/n flirted so boldly.
"Naturally. I wanted to know who i'm going against. And especially now since they might just be my future partner.~" L/n flirts again as he pours whiskey into the glasses.
Y/n reaches the glass out putting the full glass of whiskey in front of Tommy.
As Y/n was doing it Tommy stared at the hand tattoo almost getting memorized by it. Y/n looked at Tommy's once cold eyes, but this time they were softened and warm less tense.
“You like my tattoo huh? Maybe you’ll like me more if I get one that has your name.” Y/n teases with a wink before taking his hand way putting it back to his side.
"Stop it."
"Stop what?"
"Trying to flirt with me Mr L/n. Flirting isn't going to help any of our problems. Your charms won't foll me." Tommy says bluntly as he takes a sip of the whiskey.
Y/n bites the inside of his cheek thinking of a response before the smirk on his lips grows brighter.
"So, you think i'm charming?" Y/n responds back earning an annoyed groan from the Shelby. "Please. Lets get serious shall we?" "Okay fine. I won't make any promises about how long that'll last." Y/n jokes as he crosses his arms.
TIMESKIP
Months with past since the first meeting that the two head leaders of the separate gangs met. The meeting was long and deeply meaningful, it could have more meanings than just if Y/n would stop flirting and teasing.
Since the meeting Y/n started to become reckless and daring to get Thomas Shelby's attention.
Ever since then it has been The gang messing and provoking the Peaky Blinders. Like finding ways to ruin horse races, sending their men into the garrison, ruining the peace around Birmingham. The gang were being little shits and assholes to the blinders much to their leader request.
The leader Y/n had even walked Ada to her home acting like he was new to town.
Y/n started to buy some of the businesses around Birmingham. Like auto shops, Saloons, bars and such. Slowly invading the Peaky blinder area.
Others gangs noticed the tension between the two and started to pick sides.
What really pissed off the Blinders was when they built a new bar directly in the Peaky Blinder territory. They stole Garrison's customers and money that messed up everything.
It became clear to Thomas that Y/n clearly wanted his attention. But sadly Y/n had the wrong type of attention that anyone with some sense would not want from the shelby.
The Peaky Blinders were the first to start the war. Going to the bar that almost took them out of business and trashing it. Breaking and stealing whatever they found. But they didn't stop there. They burned the nearby business the gang owned. They even went as far to get the coopers on them.
People who had a nick of common sense sided with the Shelby's in fear that they'll be next, but somehow Y/n had loyal allies.
The allies Y/n had helped him rebuild the businesses and got the coopers off of his back.
Most thought Y/n and his gang learned their lesson, but that couldn't be farther from the truth.
If only it seemed that it excited Y/n and the gang to create more problems.
During the course of months the gang war became more and more heated. Y/n's gang doing no serious harm to the other unlike the Peaky Blinders. Somehow even from the spilled blood the Blinders made Y/n remained calm and mischievous.
With all of that it leads to now.
Tommy was tied up to a chair. Blood stained his suit with bruises all over his body. For once. The shelby thought he was gonna die there. Help was nowhere to be seen.
A drip of blood falls from the head of Tommy landing onto his tied up hand.
Thomas was too weak to raise up his head. Pain overwhelmed his body.
He has been getting tortured for the past three days. He didn't want to give up completely, but damn he was close.
With footsteps coming from behind him Tommy knew who was inside the empty warehouse with him. It was his capture. Tommy could recognize that foot pattern from anywhere.
"Tsk tsk... No one is still here to save you huh Tom. Not even that dumb god you worship." The capture teases as he walks in front of the Shelby. The capture takes a hand full of Thomas hair yanking it forcing Thomas head up.
"You think the man you're at war with will be jealous that i'm the pain who gets to kill you?" He jokes as he uses his free hand to dig his thumb into a open cut on Tommy's cheek.
"You're so pathetic! Not even having enough to open your eyes fully." He degrades as he drops Tommy's hair.
"Its bout time I kill you tom." The capture says as he digs inside his coat pocket.
Finally finding what he needs the man is about to take his hand out of his pockets but before he can.
A gun shot rings to Tommy's ears. Tommy opens his eyes looking at his capture dead body in front of him. The hole in his head is proof that he's been shot from behind.
A different pair of footsteps walk towards Tommy and the dead man on the floor. The shooter kicks the man's dead body away giving him room to stand in front of Tommy.
The shooter begins to untie Tommy's legs and hands. At the last hand Tommy stares at the tattoo on his hand before closing his eyes passing out.
TIMESKIP
"What the hell happened to ya Tom?" The eldest Shelby questions as he and John expect the injuries.
"Gotten snatched in an alley. Been tortured at a warehouse for about three days before someone saved me." Tommy answers as he takes a swing off the whisky that Arthur gave him.
"What type of madman would save you?" John questions with a slight laugh.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you who I think saved me." Tommy responds back before standing up from the chair his brothers forced him to sit on.
"I'll be back alright." Tommy says before getting his coat and leaving.
"How much you wanna bet its a whore that Tommy slept with who took their husbands gun." Arthur teases watching Tommy leave as John his Arthur in his side laughing.
With Tommy.
Tommy stood in front of the same building he swore to himself that he'll never stand in front of again. Stepping inside of the building Tommy went straight towards the leader of the whole thing office.
Many workers and assistants tried to stop the Shelby, but he just marched right past them.
Finally reaching the door to the hallway he swings open the door walking straight inside ignoring the people shouting at him to wait his turn.
Reaching the door to Y/n's door he swings it open walking straight inside.
There were a couple of men inside the room talking with Y/n. The men who was halfway naked only inside their briefs whip their heads around staring at the man who just stormed in.
"Maybe I should just install a lock on my door. For the cunts who doesn't know how to wait their turn." Y/n groans out as he moves his eyes from the resume he was just reading.
Looking up to see who it is Y/n smiles at the Shelby.
"Gentleman you all are hired! Now please put your clothes on and make hast." Y/n says signing their resumes and putting the papers on his desk.
The men quickly puts their clothes back on and hurries out of the room.
Tommy sits down in the chair with a raised eyebrow.
"They wanted a job at one of my motels. I needed to see what i'm working with." Y/n answers the question that was written all over the Shelby face.
"Don't be jealous now.~ They're not as pretty as you or as hot you can be when angry." Y/n flirts before giving Tommy his full attention.
Y/n lays his hands on the desk waiting for Tommy to shoot his flirting down.
The room became silent as Tommy stared at the back of Y/n's hand intensely. Tommy slowly looks at Y/n staring into his eyes.
"You saved my life..." Tommy breathes out breaking the silence
"Why?" Tommy questions.
"What makes you think I saved you?" Y/n questions with a raised brow. "One because my savior had the same tattoo you have. And two you're the only man I know who has that tattoo design." Tommy answers watching Y/n bite back a smile.
"You always show off that tattoo as if you were a peacock with its feathers." Tommy says watching Y/n turn his head away.
"Why'd you do it? We are at war right now. Me and my men killed dozens of your men and ruined your business so why? You saved me so you can take my life instead huh?" Tommy adds.
"Not at all Tom. You and I both know that I wouldn't do anything to hurt you." Y/n dismisses fast shaking his head at the thought.
"Then why save me!?" Tommy cuts him off raising his voice lightly.
"Because I like you Thomas! Are you that blind to see that I am in love with you! I caused all the problems for your attention just for you to think of me!" Y/n answers standing up from his chair and walking around it.
Tommy stands up from his chair watching Y/n move to him.
"You're in love with me?..." Tommy breathes out.
"Yes! I did all of this for you Tommy! And i'll be damned if some guy tries to take you away from me before I could confess." Y/n answers again not a single lie in his tone.
"..." Tommy is silent staring at Y/n with wide eyes.
"If you do not love me or like me it is okay. Sure it will hurt, but I can get over it." Y/n says watching Tommy take a few steps back away from him.
"Tom--" Y/n says before trailing off. "You don't trust me. I can tell that you don't trust me even though I saved your life. But that's okay. I will work for your trust as well as your love." Y/n adds before taking Tommy's hands.
"Watch me as I earn your trust. Then wait as I earn your love." Y/n says.
"Will you Tommy. Watch and wait for me?" Y/n says.
The shelby is in deep thought as he stares at Y/n looking for any sign that he's lying or just playing him.
This wasn't Y/n's usual tease or flirting. That means Tommy couldn't deny that Y/n was telling the truth.

Jake was actually the first one to know about the bakery down the street and around the corner the smell of fresh baked goods could be smiles from miles away and that’s what lured the cab driver into the shop. He was surprised to find out that it was open at such a late hour only to find out that the owner kept it open twenty four hours. The owner was young and very energetic, his smile softened Jakes heart even though he was suppose to be cold hearted one who did all of the torture in his job.
But, this baker or owner was the one who melted right into his heart. He had given Jake a free drink and baked good, letting him know that new comers always got their first order free. When Jake bit into the fresh cookie he couldn’t help but moan in delight, the taste melting on his tongue. He didn’t know who this man was but he was positive that he was a god who made such amazing cookies. From that day forward he started visiting constantly to the point where he became a regular at Y/n’s bakery.
Jake had found out that he’d worked early mornings and late nights while the evening shift is covered by his own employees that he’s hired. There were rare days that he would close the shop and it was mainly on holidays. Only one time Y/n closed the bakery because he was on vacation and didn’t want to bombarded his employees with so many customers and instead gave them a paid weekend.
Jake was feeling miserable from his last job, wanting to visit Y/n bakery and eat one of his delicious chocolate covered croissants only to arrive at a closed shop. He was tempted to kick the door down but was quickly stopped by Steven. Both Steven and Marc didn’t find out about the bakery until later on when Steven found an empty coffee cup on top of his dining table with a very nice and fancy logo on it. Steven had asked Marc and Jake about it and Jake was nice enough to let him know about his secret bakery, telling the two that the owner made the best pastries.
Marc didn’t believe him but, Steven did. He’d memorized the logo and actually woke up earlier than usual one morning to get himself a hot drink and something to eat. Steven enjoyed sweet things and was excited to know what the bakery provided. Upon stepping inside the shop he’s surprised to notice that he’s the first one there, nervously holding his book bag close as he steps further into the bakery.
He doesn’t see anyone up front and swallows nervously, looking around at the interior of the bakery, his back facing the counter that he doesn’t notice the owner of the bakery stepping out from the back room. Upon seeing a familiar face, he breaks out into a smile.
“Jake!” He called out, getting the man’s attention. “The usual?” He asks, getting ready to prepare Jakes favorite drink only to be stopped by him, waving his hand frantically. “No, actually I—“ His accent change surprises Y/n causing him to raise a brow in questioning.
“I—wait, sorry.” Stevens eyes widen at the sudden realization, forgetting about their situation and alters. He mentally groans to himself and tries to come up with a lie. “Actually I’m Jakes brother, Steven.” He introduced himself.
“Jake never mentioned having a twin.” Y/n responds, setting his cup down and giving him a shy smile. “I apologize for the mix up, but either way. What can I get you today?”
Steven rubs his hands together, taking a small step forward to take a look at the menu along with the baked goods that he had in display. “Jake told me that you serve Chocolate covered croissants?”
“Oh! Yes, those are very popular here. Would you like to try one?” He suggests, tilting his head to the side as Steven nods. “Yes, please.” He watched the baker get to work as he moved comfortably around his own shop. “Any drink?” He asks.
“Tea perhaps?” Steven winced at Jakes teasing while Y/n nodded and quickly began to get his drink ready, getting everything done at the same time and sliding it over to Steven. “Here you go.”
“How much?”
Y/n shakes his head. “I don’t charge new comers, enjoy it while it’s warm.” He declines Stevens money and with a faint smile, Steven takes his food and drink, bidding him a soft ‘goodbye’ and stepping out into the early morning breeze. Once he’s far from the shop he’s quick to bite into his food, eyes widening.
“Good, right?” Jake grins through another stores reflection while Steven licked his lips. “This is amazing!” He says, taking another bite and drinking his tea. “He’s amazing, how did you find this place?”
“Got lucky.” Jake shrugs his shoulders while Marc rolled his eyes. “What’s so good about a piece of bread with chocolate? Ever heard of Nutella?” Said Marc as both Steven and Jake look at him with shock written all over their faces. “This isn’t a simple piece of bread, Marc. This is amazing and full of warmth and—very soft.”
Jake steps in too. “Y/n‘s baking is magical, he can make your shitty day better.”
Marc shakes his head, ignoring the two before forcing Steven to focus on getting to work on time. The three bickered amongst each other about the bakery all the way to work, both Jake and Steven going up against Marc until they arrived to the museum where Steven gets ready for the day.
By the time it hit the end of the week it was Marc’s turn to visit the bakery. The main alter wasn’t too much of a sweet tooth, always sticking with something simple and fast when it comes towards food. He never got the urges of having a late night snake but tonight became one of those nights. Steven had been the one to fall asleep first and then Jake, but Marc couldn’t sleep. He looked for ways to get himself tired back at his apartment but nothing worked, it wasn’t until he saw the wrapper with the bakery logo on it that called out his name.
To be honest and fair the bakery did get his attention a few times, growing curious about the place that both Steven and Jake visited constantly. Which is how he ended up here, standing in front of the bakery, wearing Stevens night clothes as he taps his foot, hands on his hips, debating on going in or not.
“No, I’m not giving them the satisfaction. I won’t go in—“ Marc mumbled to himself as he shook his head, staring down at his shoes.
“Are you coming in or not?”
Marc is startled by the man’s voice, head shooting up to see the owner standing at the entrance of his bakery, door open while he leaned against the doorframe. His arms crossed over his chest as he grinned. Marc can only stare, opening and closing his mouth, trying to find the words to speak.
Y/n beat him to it. “You’re not Jake or Steven. So, who exactly are you?”
Steven had explained to them that he’d used the ‘twin’ card on Y/n in order not to freak the man out, begging Jake to go along with the role but Marc knew that he wouldn’t be the one to follow up on it. “I’m Marc.” He sighs out as Y/n smiles. “Is Jake or Steven around in there?”
His question catches Marc off guard, eyes widening as he stares at the baker who gasped in shock. “Shit! Im sorry, I didn’t mean to assume it’s just, you three looked way too identical and knew that something had to be up. I mean I have twin cousins and can tell the difference between the two but you and the others are far too similar that I couldn’t help but grow curious and did research and I—I’m sorry, I'm rambling.” He laughs out nervously.
Marc can only laugh at his rambling, not to upset the man he’s quick to add. “No offense, not many people know about DID and was surprised that you’d actually look into it.” Y/n gives off a small sigh of relief. “Again, that was rude of me to assume.”
“It’s fine.” Marc clears his throat. “I wasn’t able to sleep and both Jake and Steven talk highly about your bakery and thought I’d stop by.” He mumbled the last words in a shy tone, avoiding the bakers eyes who brightened at his words. “I got just the thing for you!” He waved Marc inside who followed after the man. The shop was warm and brought a comforting feeling to him as he approached the nearest empty table, sitting alone as he listens to Y/n pace around his bakery.
It took Y/n a few minutes to return, placing a warm cup of milk in front of Marc along with a plateful of mini waffles. Marc’s lips break out into a small smile as he stared at the pink heart shaped waffles. “Hearts?” He questions Y/n who sat across from him. “What? The holiday is approaching and thought it would be nice! Besides, this is my first batch so, eat up!” He slides a fork and a knife over to Marc.
“You sure this isn’t your way of asking me out?”
Y/n blushes, humming to himself. “Is it working?”
Marc gives the waffles another glance before looking up to Y/n who smiled warmly at him. “A little.” He confesses while he takes a bite from his food.

“Tommy get up here! You can see a perfect view of town!”
“Y/n that’s dangerous, get down here!”
The 14 year old chuckled as he sits at the top of a tree, sitting on the highest branch as he lets his legs hang, looking down below him to see one of favorite friends.
Thomas Shelby the 24 year old who was too grow up to be playing around with a child but he somehow became quick friends with the teenager, taking a liking towards the kids snarky attitude and how much of an easy liar he was and how he can get away with anything. He was full of chaos and adventure, never stopping hismelf from doing new things and from wanting to explore; which explains the tree climbing.
Y/n had been sitting on top of that tree for almost an hour, it took tommy all day to look for him until he heard y/n shout out his name from on top of the tree, waving at him with a big smile.
Now tommy was very protective of y/n, he always looked out for him and kept him out of trouble. He also defended him each time his brothers decided to pester him about how different he was, always saying that he was too young for tommy and how he was still a child. He remembers the first time arthur called y/n a ‘child’ which earned Arthur a punch to the nose, causing tommy to smirk proudly, warning him to not call y/n a child again.
The two got along very well and had many things to relate with each other, one of them being placed into dangerous situations. Such as climbing the most largest tree in the country and getting to the top where the teenager was propped up against the trunk of the tree.
“Hello old man, haven’t fallen off yet?”
“Oh fuck off.” He hears tommy groan out as he grips onto the branches. “Can’t believe you’re making me climb this thing.” Y/n laughs at him and shakes his head, sitting up he leans over to help tommy adjust himself into an empty branch next to him that was strong enough to hold the two.
“What’s got you in a hurry? From above here I was able to see you rushing out of your house with a scary look on your face.” Y/n asks with a small smile as he scoots down a little closer to tommy, the two touching shoulders as the older man sighs deeply.
“I’m leaving.”
Tommy says as y/n’s smile slowly fades away, his brows raise up in concern as he shifts in his position to face Thomas probably. “What do you mean? Like are you being sent to your mothers?” He asks, already knowing the situation between his parents since they aren’t in very good terms. He knows that Tommy’s mother is sick and he’s trying his best to support her while his father wasted their money on whores and booze. While the other brothers worked hard enough to earn enough money to feed themselves.
“It’s not that.” He hears tommy say as he looks out into the distance, spotting town from afar as he lowers his gaze. He uses one hand to hold onto a branch while the other digs inside his pocket, pulling out a folded up envelope as he hands it too y/n who gently takes it with both hands.
Y/n eyes the envelope and notices the stamp that was all too familiar to him. He pries open the letter and takes it out, reading the telegram over and over again as he re-reads the same sentences over and over again.
‘Thomas Shelby is to be drafted—...’
‘—a war against Germany....’
Y/n folds the paper again and looks down, the two are quiet for some time. Until y/n finally speaks first. “Your getting drafted.” He says, setting out a statement as tommy glanced over at the teenager and nods.
“It’s not just me, Arthur and John are getting drafted as well.”
Y/n raises his head at this, his eyes widen as he shakes his head. He’s heard of the traumas and deaths that happen in the battlefield, he can’t allow this to happen, he can’t lose his only friends. “Do—do you have to go?” He stutters out and bites his lip.
“I have too, y/n. In order to protect London, our home.” Said tommy as he turns to look at him. He noticed his eyes were getting glossy and darker, like he was on the verger of tearing up. “Y/n, I promise to come back.”
“You don’t know that!” Y/n exclaims as he glares at tommy. “Tom this is war we are talking about! You could get hurt or worse die! Who’s going to watch over Finn and Ada? He’s still just a kid and he can’t lose his brothers!”
“This is my job!” Tommy shouts back, causing the other to snap his mouth shut as he glares at Thomas. Giving him a death glare as he hands him back the letter, “Your job is to take care of your family, Thomas.”
Tommy winced at y/n’s sudden change of tone, he only ever used his full name when he was upset with him and he knows not to mess around with an angry y/n.
He watched as the teenager begins to climb down the tree. “You better come back alive or else I’ll kill you myself.” He sends him off with a warning which only causes the other to chuckle softly. He knows that he needs to return back, he can’t leave his little brother behind and he can’t have y/n causing chaos without him around to keep him under control.
“I will.” Tommy says back as he continued to watch him climb down.
“I always will.” He sighs out.
November 11, 1918
It’s been four years since tommy left to war, four years of pure silence, four years of no fun, and four years of dread. Y/n loathed each passing day, wishing that the war would end sooner and that Tommy and his brothers could return back home. During those years he had only sent tommy one telegram, too afraid to send anymore thinking that one day he would never return one, knowing and thinking that he has died in battle.
So in his letter he explained to Thomas that he was only going to write him this one letter in hopes of seeing him again once he returns, after that he didn’t receive a single letter from tommy, remembering to add in the last per to not send any telegrams since he would be too scared to even read them.
During Tommy’s time away, many things changed back at home. His mother passed away, due to her sickness she was growing weaker by each day and soon lost her last breath on her own bed. Y/n remembered finding her in her deathbed, he was suppose to play with Finn that day but It all turned into a very depressing month.
Finn was still young so he didn’t understand death quiet yet, so y/n had to explain to him in the most friendliest way as possible. Not wanting to scare him or frighten him even more about the real world.
Aunt Polly and Ada had come back from the market, only to hear the news of their dead mother. Y/n at first didn’t feel comfortable around such personal family issues but aunt Polly had already made it official that y/n was like family to them, he always came by to check up on them and sometimes brought them lunch in order to keep their mother from tiring herself out in the kitchen and to get some rest.
The Shelby family were greatful to have y/n around. Once Thomas father had left them he sort of took his spot as ‘man of the house’ quickly becoming apart of the family.
He has grown over the years, he wasn’t the same 14 year old boy that Thomas once knew. He wasn’t a trouble maker anymore and he didn’t attract much attention. Instead he was an 18 almost 19 year old man who was keeping the Shelby family together. He allowed aunt Polly to order them around sometimes since she was the main one to be in charge of them but y/n was mainly in charge to keep an eye on both Finn and ada.
Ada was the only girl in the family so she was considered precious to the brothers; promising them to keep her safe and far away from dangerous men from trying to hurt her.
Finn was the baby, he was still growing and slowly maturing. Sooner or later he’ll become like one of his brothers and someday he’ll probably fall into their footsteps.
Y/n remembers one morning receiving a telegram saying that the brothers were coming back home; Thomas was coming back.
He didn’t know how to feel about this, it’s been four years since he’s last seen Thomas. Not knowing if he’ll still be the same tommy that he’s known all those years, he was afraid of facing him. He’s afraid to look him in the eyes and tell him that he was thinking about him everyday and how he wishes to hug him and to confess his love.
But no, he just couldn’t. It wouldn’t right, it’s wrong and he knows that tommy wouldn’t accept him. He’s gotten so close to the Shelby family that he doesn’t want to lose what he has with them, he just can’t.
So here he is, standing at the train station hiding behind a pillar as he waits for their soldiers to return back home.
Polly and the two siblings had left to go pick up their boys while y/n made up an excuse of not being able to be there. Saying that he had other issues to handle and that he would try to catch up with them later on but really he was hiding, being a coward and hiding away from his fear.
He was gripping his dress shirt as he looks around the station, making sure to keep hismelf hidden as he noticed the train approaching the station. His heart was beating quickly as anxiety overflowed him, he was shaking in nerves.
As the doors are pulled open; soldiers slowly begin to pour out. One by one each soldier is pulled away by their families, welcoming them back home as they wrapped their arms around there long lost family members.
Y/n could feel the place crowding up causing him to climb up the pillar a little as he continues to looks around. It only takes him a short while before he spots him.
There he was, standing with both of his brothers as they too searched for their family. Once they were spotted the brothers pulled in both Ada and Finn into a hug, Polly was talking to the three in a worried tone as she checks her boys, smiling proudly at them.
From afar, y/n could see the Shelby family. He was happy for them and he was happy that Thomas was back and all in one piece. He could easily step down and rush over to tommy, pull him into a hug and tell him how much he missed him but he can’t. He was too scared, fear was evolving around him and he couldn’t allow himself to do that. Not here.
So, he gives the family one last glance before disappearing into the crowd. Deciding to meet up with them later or maybe tomorrow, the brothers had a lot to catch up too and they must be really tired as well. He didn’t want to interrupt them.
“Where’s y/n?” Was the first thing that Tommy asks his aunt Polly.
Polly gives him a look as she guides the family back to Birmingham where they had the money to afford an apartment for the small family, located far away from the country side.
“Poor boy said that he wouldn’t make it.” She says, clearly not believe y/n since she already knew about his fear many years ago. The boy was like an open book, very easy to read.
“Next time I see him I’ll make sure to hit him upside the head.” She adds as they enter the apartment.
“Come inside you boys must be very tired, god what did they do to you.” Polly says in concern as she takes their things and tossed them inside a bigger area where they had a couch and coffee table for them to sit on and relax.
Both Arthur and John are able to sit back and take everything in, to take in their new home and the belief that they have finally returned back home.
But Thomas couldn’t relax, no he just can’t not after he sees y/n and knows that he’s alright and that he has returned back just as promised.
“Thomas sit down, you need to get some rest. I’ll make you boys some tea and then off to bed you go.” Said aunt Polly as she orders them all around, bringing back memories of their childhood to when she would shout at them for being disobedient.
Thomas slowly shakes his head. “Not now aunt Pol, I have better things to do right now.” He quickly says as he’s rushing out of the apartment, he could hear the faint shouts of his siblings yelling after him but their aunt stopping them from going after Thomas.
He’s quick to find a horse and climbing on, he rides through town as he looks around. He was breathing heavily and panting, it was the middle of winter and soon it will start snowing.
He begins to think of all the places that y/n could be, he could anywhere really! He tries to think back to the times they would be together, causing trouble at a young age.
“We should come up with our own sanctuary.”
“Why?”
“What if one day we feel unsafe? And the other is looking for them but where would we go in order to see each other?”
Tommy thinks about the idea, smiling a little as he glanced up at the large tree that they were sitting under. “How about this tree? Every time we feel unsafe or lost we meet each other here—.”
Of course!
Tommy is quick to turn his horse around and rides out of town, far away from the crowds, far away from the people, far away from everyone’s troubles as he heads straight to his childhood home.
The ride their is longer than he expected, so once he reaches his childhood home he makes sure to leave the horse close by so that he can later return back home without having to walk back by foot.
Up ahead he spots the tree, their tree. After four years it was still standing. He was expecting that Damn thing to be taken down but lucky for him it hasn’t been, giving him the advantage of knowing if y/n was there or not.
As he continues up the hill and feels hismelf getting closer he cant help but feel nervous. But yet again he shouldn’t be, he’s not the same boy that he was four years ago. That boy never came back after the war, he was a changed man. But would that upset y/n? Now that he’s back will he still accept him as his friend?
Without noticing he was standing under the tree, he could hear the wind blowing against the branches as they swayed around in the air.
He wasn’t here.
Fuck, he wasn’t here.
What was he expecting? Did he really think that y/n was going to be here?
Sighing deeply he leans his back against the tree trunk and reaches up to Pinch the bridge of his nose, now where?
Before he could think of something else he hears a rustling, causing him to raise his head in alert as he looks around but sees nothing. Hearing the same sound he tilts his head up to see a young man sitting at the top, who was staring down at him with disbelief.
“Tommy?”
That voice, he recognized that voice anywhere. “Y/n?” He calls back out and notices how the other man recoils back as he looks way form tommy. Smirking he begins to climb up the tree, making sure to keep his balance.
He could only groan as he continued to climb higher, y/n on the other hand was trying to find a way off quicker but he was stuck here and he was going to have to deal with Thomas wether he liked it or not.
Hearing the other sit across from him, causes him to flinch a little in fright. God why is he scared? He shouldn’t be at all!
“Figured i’d find you here.” He hears tommy say as he adjusts his position and chuckles a little. “How long has it been since we last climbed this thing?” He asks as y/n chuckles and shakes his head, “I think the last time we climbed together was the day that you told me you were getting drafted.” He noticed how Tommy’s small smile fades away at the sudden memory.
“Right.” He sighs out.
The two sit in silence, taking in each other’s company.
“Polly told me that you weren’t able to make it to our homecoming.” Tommy suddenly says as y/n glanced up at him. “I was there, just didn’t show my face.”
“Why didn’t you?”
Y/n could only shrug. “I guess I was afraid of knowing what I would see.” He admits. He was afraid of knowing if tommy was alive or not and he didn’t want ot be there if he turned up gone and with only John and Arthur coming back home instead of him. He dind’t want to be their during a devasting time.
Tommy could only laugh at him, shaking his head. He didn’t believe him, the two have Been friends for years and tommy knows y/n very well to know that he’s lying. “You know you’re a very good liar when it comes towards others but you can never lie to me and I know that you are, so tell me. Why are you hiding up here instead of being back in town with Aunt Polly and the others?”
Geez, he really hated tommy for being so observant.
Well it was now or never so he might as well and tell him what’s Been going on instead of that head of his.
“Fine I admit it, I was a coward for running away but I had my reasons! I was afraid of seeing you again because I knew things wouldn’t be the same, hell you went ot war and killed people in order to get back home and usually when people come back form war they get trauma for all they’ve done and I just worried on how you would react if you saw me again.” He explains to Thomas as he grips the tree branch. “I also didn’t want to be in a public place when I tell you how much I actually loved you.” He blushes out and looks down.
Tommy is silent from the confession. “Actually?” He says as a grin begins to spread across his face. Y/n groans and glared at him, “Don’t be so cocky!” He shot back as tommy laughs. “You weren’t afraid of seeing me again you were afraid of confessing.”
“I hate you sometimes for being so observant.” Said Y/n.
“Its quiet easy you just need the talent to know.” The other glares at him and sits up in his place, “after four years you’re still the same.” He tells tommy who smiles at him and reaches over to ruffle his hair. “Yeah but you currently changed, you grew up to be handsome man.” He gets a eye roll from y/n and removes his hand from on top of his head. “Thomas.” He finally says as the two look at each other.
Tommy lowers his hand and sighs. “I know that you were sacred but so was I, for the first time in four years I was more frightened in seeing you. I didn’t care about the war or what happened, I just wanted to comeback home.”
Y/n bites his lip and lowers his gaze. “Guess we both have a similar fear.” He chuckles out trying to lighten up the mood a little as tommy nods in agreement.
The two sit on their branches as they looked out into the distance, watching the two getting filled with cars and soldiers coming back home. Y/n raises a brow and turns ot face tommy who wans’t paying attention to him right now. “I just noticed that you’re still wearing your uniform, thought you changed or something?” Here questions, getting Tommy’s attention. “I wanted to get a proper welcome home from you.” He smirks at him as y/n gives him a look.
“Same as always, you never change.” Said y/n. “Maybe there’s one thing I can change.” He hears tommy says as y/n opens his mouth to ask but is quickly pulled into a kiss. Tommy was grabbing him from the shirt collar and making sure that he didn’t fall of the tree, it takes y/n a few seconds before he falls deeper into the kiss, moaning around his lips as he places his hand on tommy shoulder to steady hismelf.
The two are so lost into their making out session that he begins to feel tommy lean back, quickly realizing that they were still sitting on top of a tree he gasps and grabs him by the coat, pulling him forward. “Don’t forget we are still on a tree, solider.” He reminds tommy as the two laugh again. “Right, nearly forgot about that.”
Y/n shakes his head and begins to climb down the tree, making sure to help tommy since he was slightly taller than him. He makes sure that the two reach the bottom safety without any injuries. “Maybe next time we don’t snog on the tree.”
“Really? It was getting rather warm up there, must’ve left a mark or something.” Tommy teases out as y/n shakes his head. “Can’t believe that I’ve fallen in love with a man like you.”
“Is that a bad thing?”
“No, no its not.” Y/n smiles at tommy and reaches up to fix his lovers hair. “By the way how did you get here? I forgot to ask.” He was curious on to how tommy got here in the first place, he had just gotten home and took was a few miles away.
“I came by horse.” He nods towards the black horse that stood in the field of grass, eating away as y/n nods in understanding. “Right and from the looks of it you won’t be getting home any time soon, it’s getting late so might as well and stay at my place.” He offers as he makes his way down the hill and towards his own house. It was small and perfect for Just him but since he’s been staying at the Shelby’s place for a couple of years now, he’s gotten so used to being in a household with more than one person.
But that didn’t stop him from coming back here, he loved the country side. He really wasn’t much for crowds.
It takes y/n awhile to pry open the door and step inside his house, he makes sure to turn on the lights and sighs. “Make yourself at home.” He tells him as he removes his own boots and heads to the kitchen to see if he had any food lying around that they could eat together.
As he searches through the cabinets he feels a pair of arms wrap around his waist, glancing over his shoulder he smiles softly at tommy who lies his chin on top of his shoulder. “What are you doing? You should be lying down and resting.”
“You sound just like aunt Polly.” Tommy mumbles out as he buries his face into his neck and plants small kisses against it.
Y/n smiles a little and turns around to face Tommy, “Well I’m not here.” He says as the two head towards the bedroom where tommy and y/n both fall into a passionate love making as a welcome home gift.
Okay, I have this really long and angsty request for Ghost x male reader. Let me know if you're up for writing it and take as much time as you need, cuz when I say angsty, i mean it.
Ghost and Reader are dating, Reader is the team's chopper pilot and accompanies them on missions, picks them up if things get out of hand, etc. Before being sent on a mission, Ghost and Reader got into an argument about some silly stuff, during which Ghost, being the emotionally constipated man he is, said a lot of hurtful things to his partner. They were ignoring each other during the mission, as Simon was too proud to apologize and admit to his mistakes and feelings.
But then, as Reader was closing in with his helicopter to pick them up for evac, he was shot down and crashed, the pilot later presumed KIA.
Ghost felt guilty, he regretted the things he said and was miserable, as he lost the love of his life. A few months passed, the team helped him get through it. He was still mourning, but his friends made it easier to handle.
After nearly a year since the incident, during a mission, where they had to clear out an underground warehouse and get some important documents, Ghost got separated from the rest. As he tried to find them, he stumbled upon a closed door, with a chain and lock wrapped on its handles. He broke through it and didn't find the documents on the other side, but Reader.
Covered in blood, scars and bruises, handcuffed and hiding in the corner of the room, with a cloth tied around his eyes, shaking and crying as Ghost approached, scared that it was one of the enemy soldiers, about to hurt him.
The rest is up to you, as this is already too long lol. Hope it doesn't violate the rules, love ya!

“You don’t know what you’re sayin’.” Simon firmly states, squeezing his eyes shut tightly in hopes it would calm his growing headache. This fight had been going on for near an hour now, with himself and his boyfriend, (y/n), fighting about the pilots possible promotion to field work. “It’s not safe for someone like yourself.”
“What’s that supposed to mean, Simon? Am I not capable enough to you?” He snarls in turn, frustrated and upset with the taller male.
“That’s not it! It’s just dangerous. Nothing you’d understand considerin’ your work.” He was far too calm for this argument, only further irking (y/n).
“Considering my work?” He gapes, glaring down at the Brit. “I’m not an idiot. I know the risks! You know what, I don’t see why this is up to you. This is something I want.”
“Fine! Go ahead! Get yourself killed, see if I care!” Simon immediately snaps back, causing (y/n) to flinch back.
It’s silent now. Only the sound of (y/n) holding back his cries, and Simon’s angered pants echoing throughout their quarters. Before the Brit can get the chance to speak, the shorter male is out the door.
“Fuckin’ hell…” Simon groans, taking his seat as he cradles his head in his hands. He had royally fucked up, and that much was clear. But, was he surely in the wrong? (Y/n) had no clue the risk he’d be making if he were to fully place his life on field..
Simon was just looking out for him. He clearly knew what was better for the man’s life. Why wouldn’t he listen..?
════════════════
The argument had clearly done damage, having the two avoid each other these past few days. (Y/n) had been happily spending his time with Gaz, a close friend of his.
Of course, it didn’t go unnoticed by Simon, who scowled at the sight. Gaz meant well, he knew that, but in the time where he couldn’t get the attention of his own boyfriend, it was irking.
“Keep glarin’ like that and ye’ll burn holes into ‘is head, Lt.” Soap comments teasingly, though he immediately backs down as he’s treated with a similar glare. “What’s got yer knickers in a twist?”
“(Y/n) and I had a fight.” He states plainly, his eyes glueing back onto the man’s figure.
“A fight? Jesus Ghost, the two of you’ll be back together in not time.” He chuckles, clearly not understanding the severity of said fight.
“I said things I didn’t mean to… practically told ‘im I didn’t care if he died..” He pauses, taking in a sharp inhale, his eyes still refusing to move from the other “I didn’t mean it.. I just worry… I don’t- I can’t lose him.”
“Why don’t you tell him that after the mission, ay? I’m sure he doesn’t hate you, Lt. You’re both just confused, love-sick kids.” Soap chuckles, nudging into the male with a bright flashy grin.
Ghost doesn’t reply verbally, but instead nods. His eyes finally manage to break free, moving to look towards Soap. “Alright. After the mission.”

The given intel had been faulty, leaving Price to desperately call in for an evacuation as his men fought for their lives. “Captain,” (y/n)‘s voice eagerly calls through the radio, his words choppy due to the propellers of his aircraft “heard you needed some air support.”
“(C/n)! Glad to hear your voice, you daft muppet.” The captain teases in turn, glad to have his most trustworthy pilot ready.
“Gonna need you lot to get to a higher point, let’s say.. the water tower.” He grins behind his headset, knowing it wasn’t the most practical point, but who was he if he didn’t enjoy a little danger?
“On it.” Price returns, making a move to examine the area for said tower. “You heard ‘im boys, make it to the evac point, preferably without scratches.”
(Y/n) cackles, eagerly aiding them with few assisting shots. “Try not and get yerself killed, lad!” Soap, just as chaotic, shouts back through his own radio, watching the hefty aircraft glide through the skies.
It’s all fun and games to him, the typical action of attempting tricks with his plane, shooting down at those least expecting of him, and causing absolute misery for his team that prayed for their own safety.
It’s the point of which the team is at the water tower, and when he goes to pick up his boys, he finds himself panicked.
He’s been shot at. Multiple times, nonetheless, and it leaves him crawling down into a nearby forest. A plane on fire and only himself to try and safe him from death.
════════════════
“(Y/n)!” Ghost shouts out, watching as his lover is shot from the sky. His eyes wide as he sees the aircraft go down, followed by dark hues of smoke and a large fire starting up in the forest nearby. “We have to go for him, Price! We can’t just leave ‘im there!” He begs and pleas, looking to the captain hopefully, only to see the man shake his head.
“You know we can’t. That’s one life over multiple.” He strictly states, already calling in for a backup evac.
Ghost panics, frantically trying to push past to climb down the tower. He’s held back by Soap and Gaz, and despite them being just as upset, they knew the captain was right. One life lost was better than all of their lives.
“N-No! We can’t leave him! Don’t leave him! Price- we can still get him!” He cries out, desperately trying to escape their grasps. “Don’t let him die! I don’t- can’t lose him! Please..” Shouts turn to choked out sobs.
It’s out character. To see the Ghost sobbing and begging like a toddler pleading for a toy. He looks absolutely broken. Having lost everything yet again. A cruel joke from God.
He practically dies as he sees the explosion. It shakes the ground a little, and the small wooded area lights up with ash and fire. He gives up, dropping his weight into the two sergeants as he simply stares. He stares in horror and remorse.
He never got to apologize. He’ll never get to apologize.
════════════════
Months had passed. Ghost a broken man, a shell of what he had so generously built up to be.
He refused to speak.. refused to eat and sleep. Most hours of the day spent drinking or lying in bed without thought.
The team often trying to aid him. To provide the comfort he so desperately craved.. but nothing compared to the warm embrace of his lover that he oh so desperately needed.
Why hadn’t he just apologized and admitted fault..? Why hadn’t he just been a better lover?!? Fuck! Why hadn’t he just left the pilot alone in the first place? Nothing good came to those he loved..
════════════════
His pained breaths echo throughout the cell, wheezing and hissing in pain as he’s beaten black and blue. He’s drenched in various substances, alcohol, water, and even his own blood. Multiple forms of torture having taken place throughout the weeks.
He’s not sure how much longer he’ll live, nor does he know if his team would ever find him. He was on his own, alone and injured.
“Are you going to speak yet?” His captor scowls, holding his head up with a tight grasp to his hair.
(Y/n) only stays silent, his eyes rolling back in a dazed state. It seems to displease the other, earning him another hit to the gut, his head being thrown back before he’s spat on.
“Filthy rat.” He hisses out, turning to a small table of many surgical tools. The man holds up a pair of heavy duty scissors, a sinister smile on his face as he tauntingly tilts his head. He holds the scissors up to (y/n)’s hand, catching over two fingers. “You won’t be needing these anymore, now will you?”
There’s no time to reply, the blades slicing down to meet, clean through his fingers as he shouts in pain. He bites down on his bottom lip, holding back any noises as he stares at the stumps of fingers in pure horror.
“Are you going to speak now? Or should I take more?” He snarls, dipping the man’s hand into a glass of alcohol. A process he had done with every new wound. It earns a meek and choked whimper from the other, but he continues to stay mute.
He’s almost grown fond of the way his blood circulates the golden hue of whiskey. A cruel reminder that he was still alive and bleeding for the time being.
How long until they grew tired and killed him..? How long until Simon found him?
════════════════
Within the eighth month, Simon grew back into old habits. Requesting that he leave on a solo mission. And Price agreed. He gifted the lieutenant with a simple task for starting. A quick in and out of gathering intel.
He took the task with hopes. Praying that an overload of work would help him forget. Help him bury the past away and prevent these hauntings.
And so, he prepared to leave within the next few days..
════════════════
(Y/n)’s head lolls of onto his shoulder, expression glum and bloodied as he looks to his captor with amusement. His silence taunting, and he simply stares. It clearly angers the man, earning him another bone cracking hit.
It’s not a long break, having his hair roughly pulled at, head being forced back into place. Dazed eyes meet fierce ones. His captor scowling, a ghastly expression.
“Such a fuckin’ tough guy, ey?” He spits, grabbing some sort of pliers. A sadistic look crossing his eyes as he brings the tool towards his face. “See how fucking tough you are when I break you piece by piece.”
The pliers make contact with his eye, a discomforting touch at first, though slowly growing into a searing pain. He screams and thrashes in an instinctive panic. The tool works with ease, wiggling about within his socket, loosening his eye before pulling it right from its place within his skull.
(Y/n) is a sobbing, panting mess. His face far more blood soaked, and lack of eye nothing but a pulsating pain. He’s not sure how much more he could handle.
Yet desperately, despite his pains, he silently prays. Prays for his teams rescue. He knows they’re coming. They have to be! But yet, he can only hope.
════════════════
The warehouse is of easy access. A likeable cause that word of his presence got around, leaving for the group of terrorist to leave in a hurry.
It made the task easy. All he had to do now was seek out the documents he was sent for. But.. he stops in place, tensing where he stands. An eerie, yet familiar sound, calling out to taunt him.
Faint, broken sobs echo throughout the silent building. The sounds playing from beneath the floor. Beneath Simon’s feet.
════════════════
He’s far too gone. Sitting in a haze of pain and delusion. He prays over and over again. Begging for an escape, so be it death.
And when footsteps echo from above his abused body, he desperately sobs in hopes his saviour would hear him. His state of delusional thoughts leading him to believe it was an angel.. one here to take away his suffering.
He’d been alone in this room for near a day now, having been left behind as the group fled in panic. And no matter if this sudden appearance was good or bad, he planned to be found.
════════════════
Ghost is quick to act, searching out for the specific hatch. And he’s thankful it’s rather obvious. A small door hidden beneath a carpet, leading down to a door, seemingly a basement.
As he reveals the door, the cries grow louder. His body moving on its own as he rushes forward, hastily kicking down the door.
The the smell alone is awful, having him gag and grimace. But the sight.. his heart drops down, and his throat tightens into a panic.
Within the middle of the room, tied to a chair, his assumed K.I.A lover sits; beaten and broken, sobbing pathetically as his head hangs low.
“(Y/n)..” His words a hoarse cry, immediately rushing to free the man. He’s quick yet cautious, calling in for immediate pickup, alongside medical aid.
“Shh, it’s okay now luv.. gonna get you cleaned up.. fix you up, yeah?” He mumbles and soothes, rocking the wounded man within his arms. Though his words act as more a promise to himself than to the boy. “Don’t leave me.. please don’t go..”
He’s a mess himself, panicked and cautious as he holds the boy like he was broken glass. “Oh dove.. what have they done to you?” Simon whispers, noting his injuries as he rushes outside to try and get to the evac point. “Just stay with me.. stay awake luv.”
“Come on, just a little bit more..” he desperately pleas, practically stumbling along with how eager he is to rescue the boy.
And he does it, he gets to the aircraft, passing off his near dead lover to the many doctors. They work quick to hook him up to many machines, and the plane takes off..
It’s a blur of panic and desperation to keep him alive. Something Ghost himself isn’t sure of, considering his state of being. The heart monitors constantly changing.. too low, too high, normal, and repeat..
His body lies limp on a stretcher. And with a closer look at the damages done, Simon can only think..
He should have just apologized. Told (y/n) he loved him, that he was okay with the man joining the field… fuck..
I was wondering what would the grabber do if he got someone who was obsessed with cleaning and perfection, (like he see’s them cleaning the basement as best as they can and stuff) and one day they cut there hand or foot on something and is upset because “It’s all dirty, I’ve ruined it!, I’m so sorry” lil freak out
Thxs!!!!
okok, a neatfreak / perfectionist reader who is overly apologetic and concerned for their environment🙏🙏 i love it!!
considering how bare the basement is, i'd assume you would try to add some decor ( laying out the carpets ) but youd also go around cleaning any other bits of cement or chipping that've fallen, etc. i think its lovely, the grabber would definitely be curious, but he'd be as mindful and respectful as he could🫶
thank you sm!! i'm starting to work in my
oldest to newest requests, just bc i feel bad😭 but i promise theyre getting worked on :)

Your eyes focused on the ground ahead, where a carpet covered the rough ground. It was a nice addition, something to please the eye where everywhere else you looked was barren. Your previous attempts to make the room look lively were just ideas, over time you'd turn it over to dust it or keep it virtuous. Light coming in from outside gave the basement a nice morning glow, it framed the room in a honey light, displaying that it was once again morning, and you knew what was coming. Not soon later, you heard the door open, its metal creaming unpleasantly to your ears, but it revealed him, standing with a soft posture, tray in hands. His head followed your gaze, looking at the floors new insertion.
"Haha! Aw, what a lovely inclusion, it really brings out the room dove."
His stare lingered, you could tell he had something on his mind, but all he did was add a question;
"Would it be alright if I took a step on this?"
The mask tilted as he stood there, awaiting an answer. You nodded, it can always be cleaned after, a motto of yours which he became very familiarized with. Even after being granted permission, his steps were precise, he was being considerate, after all you'd been good, it was the least he could do. He's always know you were big on cleanliness, he became very acquainted with it after abducting you. He never minded learning something new, in fact, he was an avid scholar who never backed down on an opportunity to gain more knowledge. His learning was an escape, which proved to be quite efficient in all areas.
The first interaction he'd had with you in the basement was his most interesting out of all. He went down to formally introduce himself, and see how you were adjusting. The normal reactions; screaming, crying, pleading, etc. were what he was betting on. However, when he stepped into the basement, he saw you adjusting things, wiping dust off of what you could, and generally trying to make your atmosphere livable. You taught him about what you liked, what you preferred in your living space, and he admired that. You weren't pushy, just tidy, something he wish he could say about himself. He did his best to make his home neat, but it just seemed to get disorganized just as fast, so listening to you genuinely helped.
His boots grazed your bed, pulling them off with ease and setting them aside before sitting on the bed and handing you your food. It was morning, so his specialty of eggs & soda were delivered. It's not like that was a problem, you frequently complimented him on his cooking, it wasn't bad after all. He always gave you a shining tray, he did his best to make it look as lovely as you made the room, you did so much to help without realizing. After a morning small talk, consisting of the food, the room & what you thought would bring it out, and the minute conversation about him, he had proclaimed he had to leave, but as always, kept replaying your conversation in his head. He didn't need to keep you in your place, it just came with your nature to listen, and that made his life easier, another reason why he obsessed over you. He adored you as much as he adored your thoughts, both kept him company throughout the day.
Dust floated into the air as the day dragged on, irritating you as you knew there wasn't anything you could do. Luckily, your remaining breakfast kept you entertained, walking around with the soda in hand, mind blanking, just idly pacing around. You went to twist the cap back off for a sip, but it skimmed your hand, leading you to drop the bottle. A loud shatter filled the silence, glass shards decorating the floor in an instant. You stood among it, hand aching from the cap cutting you, surrounded by glass and your remaining soda, it was overwhelming. You felt a surge of pressure come over your chest, your surroundings overstimulated you, you were always a careful person, and now that you had created something that was immensely messy, it broke you down. Your eyes stung, serving as punishment. You couldn't move, you didn't have your shoes on, and you were encompassed to one spot. While you were so focused on your environment, your hand, still injured, bled onto the floor from the excess that accumulated.
That was what broke the dam.
Your eyes got clustered with tears, face growing hotter by the second, and your breathing became erratic. The breakdown came quicker than you could've prevented it.
It was only minutes that had passed before the door creaked open, what was calm before turned urgent as he heard your sobs. Coming into view, he saw you and your situation, the hand, the floor, you. He didn't enjoy seeing you in pain when you didn't deserve it, your tears running down your face puddled below you, and when you peered up, he saw the way you found him, your eyes looked desperate, he couldn't love that any more than he did. He knew he shouldn't be looking at you the way he was, but to be fair, what else would he expect? Soon enough he made up his mind, taking your hand and gently pulling you into him, your face taking in his scent, distracting you from what happened.
"It wasn't your fault, accidents happen. Care to sit while I clean?"
His voice leaked of sincerity, its what he was best at. He was being genuine, of course, but to prove that he was there to make sure your problems were cleared because he solved them, showing he had the ability to make a wrong a right, made him feel in control. Something he couldn't live without.
The cleaning didn't take long, a quick pickup was all, but you thanked him like it was your last, you didn't want to be a disrespectful patron, and he knew this. You clung to him and he graciously took it,
Whatever made you feel the best in the end was what he loved.
