Dear babe,

I've been cranky all day so I've been sort of a major bitch. I've been getting irritated at everything, and a lot of that has been directed at you. So basically I'm the worst, and I really am sorry (though I've already told you that in person) I'm very lucky that you put up with my bullshit, but you shouldn't have to, I just need to get my shit together.

However, earlier in the car after the worst of my bitchiness, you were singing Total Eclipse of The Heart, and by some strange miracle it came on the radio at exactly that moment. So you were jamming and dancing and singing and it was so fucking cute I couldn't help but smile. I tried to take a sneaky video but it was basically just of your arm and I started it too late so I deleted it 😔 but now that I'm writing it here, we'll both remember it. You're so fucking weird, but I love it, and I wouldn't want you to be any other way.

I'm sorry again that I suck.

5. We went to see @taylorswift ! (August 31st, 2018) In person! And she was amazing! And phenomenal! And so pretty! We are not city people, and we probably should never move to Minneapolis, but we survived, and basically nothing will ever compare to that particular experience and we're still going through withdrawals about it 😭

5. Much more recently, we went to pride! (June 29th, 2019) We had a great time! It was little, but we have anxiety so that's probably better 😂 I'm so lucky that I get to be out and proud with you. We don't have to hide our love, and that isn't a luxury everyone gets. I love you forever and ever, in a very gay way 🌈

If I think of anything else super exciting that happened that I forgot, I'll make a post about it. But we're somewhat caught up now? Love you!

July 5th, 2019 (...oops)

Dear Babe,

So wow. I don't even know how to summarize the past couple years. So much has happened: happiness, sadness, love, heartbreak, joy, and life. You obviously know what all those things are, but I'll run through a few key parts in non-chronological order:

1. We now have a different silly dog (October 19th, 2018) after one of the biggest heartbreaks of our life. (December 18th, 2017) He's perfect and we love him so much, but Pan is forever in our hearts, and we miss him every day.

2. We also have a different crazy cat, (April 8th, 2017) because the last one was potentially actually from hell. Hopefully he's living free on a farm, tormenting someone else. The bean is so sweet and snuggly, and basically the polar opposite of Louie..

3. We got wedded! (September 17th, 2017) Our wedding was gorgeous if I do say so myself, and some people weren't there, but a lot of people were, and that's what matters. You looked so cute in your little suspenders and bow tie, and I love you so much 💗

4. We also honeymooned! We went to pictured rocks in Michigan, and besides the fact that we probably could've gotten murdered in our hotel, or eaten by a bear, we had a lovely time and I can't wait to go back and dance on the beach again 💗

Tuesday, March 21st, 2:39am Dear babe, Oops. I haven't written since Christmas. I love you so much, we accidentally got Louie since then, which seems like before Christmas but definitely wasn't. I'm so glad we got him, but I was a bit worried for our mental health for a bit there. Speaking of, I've been not good lately but you handle it so well, and I appreciate that so much. I woke up with a scream from a really bad nightmare this morning and you just held me and repeatedly told me it wasn't real, that I'm safe with you, that I was at home in the apartment with you, and that you'll always keep me safe. Which is exactly what I needed. You didn't pressure me to talk about it, you just repeated those phrases and reminded me where I was and who I was with. You're so good to me. Even when you don't know how to deal with things, you do nothing short of your best. And I love you for that. I love you more than anything and I can't wait to marry you.
