My name is Lorraine and this is my new, tiny family. Dear Baby is a collection of stories from our life together with our beautiful baby girl, Marlo. Marlo Adelle Bond, born April 14, 2010 to Christopher Bond and Lorraine Bryda. She weighed a healthy 7 lbs, 10 oz. and was 20.5" long. She is now over 12 lbs and 23 inches! Almost 3 months later, I have started this blog for her to have something to document her life and share with family and friends who aren't close enough to Texas to see her often. I hope you enjoy the stories, videos and pictures...there will be many to come!
Bruce ate a lot tonight...ALOT. He took a bath, and spit up in the tub. When we asked him what happened, he said, “I vominated!” 😂😂😂 I made sure to ask him if it came out of his mouth. Gross. https://www.instagram.com/p/ByyrKsEnAiH/?igshid=83oi3nfqzbju

A much more somber history lesson, that I wasn’t expecting to visit. Marlo’s class learned recently about September 11th, 2001. So, we took her here to help try to absorb the gravity of what actually happened. I’m pretty certain if you didn’t live through it, it’s hard to comprehend that something like this could have ever happened. I’m not sure she’ll ever really understand it as a child (and I’m partially thankful for that). But, I hope that this experience helps deepen her understanding of acceptance for everyone, no matter their religion, race, etc. this was a beautiful place to visit, but very surreal. The last time I was in this area was October of 2001, a much different place was here. https://www.instagram.com/p/BnwwM29HeYS/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=krp29jdsj62r
History lesson #1. History is better when you can see it up close. I had the privilege of growing up near here. I’m glad we could bring Marlo here to help her understand part of her heritage better. #givemeyourweary #libertyisland #ladyliberty https://www.instagram.com/p/BnwvbKLnLV4/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ua0eh76vbgdf
Marlo made this fairy house last year in art (with a handle on top so she could easily lift it if the fairies needed help). We finally got around to glazing and painting it yesterday. Today, she picked a spot to set up her fairy garden. Complete with leaf stools and a fire pit! She painstakingly placed each item asking questions along the way “mom, do fairy’s drink water?” “Can they squeeze through the fence?” “Can they ride on the boat with us?” Once she finished, she watered the plants so the fairy’s would have fresh flowers when they arrive. I love her imagination. 🧚🏻♀️ 🧚♂️ 🍃 🌲 #fairyhouse #marlosworld #marloadelle
