things im doing to glow up this june (back to school glow up)
⋆.𐙚 ̊ working out daily i have been working out everyday, even if all i can do is a 5 minute follow through workout. ill be going on runs as soon as i get new running pants and shoes. ⋆.𐙚 ̊ face massage daily i've been massaging my face daily. Lymphatic drainage too. bought a gua sha today, will be using it daily
⋆.𐙚 ̊ drinking 3 bottles of water self explanatory but i have been drinking 3 bottles of water daily yippie
⋆.𐙚 ̊ quit processed sugar god i love sweets SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH but im trying my best to control myself and not let food run my life
⋆.𐙚 ̊ swap snacks with fruits & nuts whenever im hungry, i try to eat fruits rather than order snacks (saving money too)
⋆.𐙚 ̊ sleeping 8+ hours

backstory stuff hi guys!! the past few months have been absolutely hellish for me.. and, as some of you know, im currently on antidepressants and antipsychotics. And i suffer from depression, anxiety, and suspected BPAD and autism. so how do i stay sane??? i lowkey don't! i have to be extremely gentle with myself or i literally get triggered by everything. but here are some things i have been doing lately which have helped me feel much much better.

you don't need a new plan, or a new vision board, or a new pinterest board or subliminal playlist, manifestation list, blah blah blah. i feel like we've lost the point; you need to take action in order to achieve your goals. simply creating a plan is not enough!
procrastination is not a time management issue, but rather an emotional regulation issue. and everytime you procrastinate, you just further strengthen the neurological pathways that make procrastination easier and easier. procrastination is, in a way, a defense mechanism.
so how do we break the cycle? by simply starting with whatever you have. yes, that is as simple as it gets. but starting, somehow, is the hardest step. and ykw? you are strong. stronger than procrastination. you can start. it's your brain, your body. you have control over it! don't let it control you! how to beat procrastination, a step by step guide : .☘︎ ݁˖ identify the trigger : what are you avoiding? why? what emotions does it make you feel? anxious? overwhelmed? fear of failure? name it and explore it. sometimes we are just scared of how a particular task will make us feel, so we just totally avoid it.
.☘︎ ݁˖ 5 minute rule : set a timer for 5 minutes. work on your desired task that you have been avoiding for just 5 minutes. just 5 minutes, not less not more. that builds momentum.
.☘︎ ݁˖ a shitty paragraph is better than nothing : suppose you have an essay due next week and you have been procrastinating. try the 5 minute rule and JUST START! write the shittiest paragraph ever, if you need to. you can always go back and improve it later! but you can't really do anything about a blank document... you get what im saying?
and that is how you beat procrastination :)
