She's kind of a shitty vampire. I don't think you did very well making her.

Is it nice having your daughter back in town? She's kind of weird.
“I am overjoyed to have my angel back, of her own accord no less. Weird yes, and also sublime.”
“I know, but you said I could have your address as long as I didn’t give it to my mother.” Caleb rolled his eyes in a humorous manor. “Honestly anything you have to offer.”
“Yes... and you haven’t, right?” He grinned. “How about a pasta dish? Too light for a newborn wolf?”
Sorry, my train of thought just crashed, what did you say?
“It’s unusual of you to visit me at my home, but I’m happy you did. What would you like to eat? I can tell you’re famished.”
“Oh, you mean this is your place? My bad, man.”
“It’s no trouble at all. Were you looking for something, or someone?” Leon was curious if the young human was seeking his company.
Silver Velvet Wine
Silver- How important is wealth to you? It’s trivial and has come and gone throughout my first and second life. Those I love and care for mean more to me, and immortality is priceless.
Velvet- Do you like to dress up?Yes, but I would like more opportunities to dress down. I was a warrior in my first life and part of me aches for those days I spent covered in dust and blood.
Wine- Do you like to drink alone or with people? In company, of course. Drawing blood from a live host is intimate and addictive, so is witnessing a fellow vampires or dhampirs experience, I see it as a highly social affair.
I sent someone to kill you. You sent someone to kill me. Even Steven.
“Milan??” He asked enthusiastically, turning his head away from the spice for a moment to look at Leon. “I’m sure he’s having a great time then. You’ve been right? I would assume you’ve been everywhere,” the younger vampire stated with a smile before turning back to the cabinet. “Well I don’t know…” After a slight pause, he grabbed them all and walked over to the table, sitting next to the other vampire and placing them all there “I’m going to put everything on it and see what happens,” he said, shaking the contents of each flask onto his place before mixing it together. He looked at it then looked back up at Leon “You sure you don’t want any? We can suffer together.”
“Yes.” He chuckled. “--If memory serves.” Of course Levi hadn’t told Leon where he was off to, Leon, protective possessive as he was, always knew. “I have, though it feels like it has been far too long since my last visit.” He digressed. “For a time I thought it would be wonderful to visit every corner of the earth, but that would leave so many mysteries solved.” Adrian approached and Leon couldn’t help but settle a gentle hand on the back of his head to skirt along the hairline dotingly. Adrian wasn’t his own progeny but on many occasions it seemed comfortable to play the part as his maker. Especially with Levi away and this maternal instinct needing a filler. The hand slipped aside and Leon laughed, “I will try a bite, only one.” In the moment it reminded him of a time Levi made a literal mud pie in their backyard while they still lived in the Netherlands. Reinier hadn’t given in to his sons begging to share the disgusting concoction but there was less harm in trying Adrian’s. Couldn’t be more or less disgusting that usual.
no more cities and you pull me toward you, sliding your hands into my coat, telling me your name over and over, hurrying your mouth into mine. We have, each of us, nothing. We will give it to each other.

Nearest and Dearest || Vic & Leon
She laughed aloud when he spun her around, never bothering to wonder how it was he made her feel this way, so safe and carefree, only knowing enough to enjoy it, without question. As he touched her face and hair, she settled her hands gently on his forearms, grinning sweetly up at him.
“Thanks.” She said, and then, settling her hands on his shoulders and moving up onto her toes, she pressed a soft kiss against his cheek. “You look just as handsome as the first time I ever saw you, of course.”
Settling back down on her feet, she let her hands fall, grasping them behind her back as she rocked on her heels. “And I was going to tell you I was here, I promise.”
Reinier hummed soft when she graced him with a kiss, teasing, as if spring had come again just by the simple gesture. “You flatter me.” The Dutch accent rolled clean, different from the times they knew one another, it tended to change every five hundred years or so. He was in the Netherlands not so long ago. “You’re still the Angel I plucked from heaven myself.”
A humble grin showed on his face, he pretended that the notion hadn’t crossed his mind, but leave it to Aliceanna to me sharp as a knife even with him. “I trust you, and I suppose I should apologize... for wrecking any surprise you had for me.” The man added with a nod, face turning gentle.

Vic clutched her phone to her chest after she sent Leon her response, squeezing her eyes shut for a moment. Was it too much to hope for? That he’d do just what she wanted? She felt him before she heard him, grinning wide, and as she finally heard his voice she turned, spinning on one foot and launching herself at the ancient vampire. She squeezed him tightly, face pressed against his chest as she breathed in deep, surrounding herself again in his familiar scent.
“Oh, Papa Bear, I missed you.” She said, pulling back enough to tilt her head up at him, still grinning. He looked just the same as always, and Vic had underestimated how reassuring that would be to her, to see the same smile, on the same face, even after so long apart.
His worst fears were dashed, contained, thrown out when thin arms wrapped around his shoulders. It was almost sad, in that moment, because he truly was surprised. Aliceanna had surprised him after all. She was... happy to see him too. His strong arms wrapped securely around her lithe frame and he twirled her once, enough to get her legs kicking, and chuckled out of amusement and delight. Leon hoped that he made Iam feel this way, the ancient was on top of the world, doting on his long missing progeny was all he care for now.
A calloused hand moved down her dark hair and brought some of it back up while he cupped her cheek and grinned affectionately down towards Alice. “I have missed you very much, my Alice.” A thumb sealed his words by stroking across one of the dimples in her cheek. “You look very well.” He might have said more but he didn’t want to inundate her. Not so soon anyway.

It took a pulse of wind and Leon was there, following a lighting fast run to his long lost progeny, the petite and radiant Aliceanna. As planned he turned up behind her and immediately smirked, handsomely, never full of malice in the presence of his darling girl. He had missed her, worried like any father might, but she was here. The ancient had troubling thoughts including one that speculated she had planned to pass through without meeting with him, these were pushed aside, all in place of the joy he felt in this moment by simply seeing her in the flesh. Seemingly cheerful and healthy as the days they’d spent together. “Surprise.” He pocketed his phone now, silver eyes shining as the sun hung overhead.
