ahhh...

decided to change the theme for some of Rick’s info pages. I really really like that minimalist masonry code with the sorting filters. So that is now what is up in Rick’s ‘hood.

A friendly reminder that Rick’s roleplay interactions (threads) will only be done on Discord. At this point, it’s definitely going to be a while before I return to publishing rp threads here on tumblr, and until then anyone is welcome to hmu about roleplaying on a private Discord server.

Rick believes he is always deserving of care, especially when it’s specifically for the self.

Self-care for Rick could be:

Cooking / baking his meals

washing his clothes and meticulously hanging them to dry at the right hour so they dry before the sun sinks too low, then brings them inside and carefully folds and stores them away.

feeding the cat and petting the cat

yelling when he’s angry, especially in the moment and at unsuspecting people.

going home and staying away from people

going to bed early and sleeping late

eating a large bowl of buttered corn off the cob

In conclusion, Rick spends time along for a reason: to feel better.

👙 - Is your character trendy or do they just not give a damn?

Rick has his own sense of style which is very ‘pre-war’. I wouldn’t say it’s trendy but he does wear clothes that are flattering for his height and body type. There is a sense of ‘I don’t give a damn’ to what he wears, but he also cares enough not to look like a slob.

Rick probably passively believes in luck but doesn’t really consider it a superstition of sorts but rather a habit for comfort. If he’s doing well with his projects while using certain tools or making good business while wearing certain articles of clothing, he’ll continue using them due to subconsciously marking them as ‘lucky’. In the instance that clothes wear out, he’ll simply discard them and find something different to imprint this sense of comfort.

This is very common CURRENTLY, especially with clothing. Good things happened while wearing his handmade Vault Boy print boxerbriefs? He’ll wear them as often as possible until they blow out. Yes, he washes them, but his soft worn in tshirt was a shirt he wore after a few good sales.

He’ll wear the same clothes very frequently out of psychological comfort and not because he can’t purchase more- because he has the caps for clothes.

Bold of you to suggest that anyone would hear him break wind.

He probably does it frequently, and never would he own up! He who smelt it dealt it, says the old proverb, and Rick smells nothing wrong. Except that open sewer, here in Goodneighbor, that’s probably where that heinous odor is coming from.
