Faceclaims for Lyna. Just with her dyed hair.
Faceclaims are never exactly how I picture my characters, more just like people who have roughly similar features and vibes as the character.
Lyna's got narrow oblique eyes and cheekbones for days. Her eyebrows give her a sort of angry/ judgmental expression - at the very least she's not a super approachable looking person. Ordered from most to least similar to how I picture her.

Toshia Mori (The Bitter Tea of General Yen, Blondie Johnson)βi think Toshia Mori is a great example of someone who clearly had the makings and charisma of a star & who its easy to imagine thriving in a less white supremacist system than 20s and 30s hollywood. she began acting in silent movies in the late 20s, and in 1932 was selected as a "WAMPAS Baby Star" which was an annual promotion of promising up-and-coming young actresses by the Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers, becoming the first Asian woman to do so. previous baby stars included Clara Bow, Joan Crawford, and Joan Blondell, and another 1932 honoree was Ginger Rogers. this likely led to her most sizeable role in The Bitter Tea of General Yen (unfortunately a movie with a lot of orientalism going on and white actors in yellowface). she was well received but the studio seemed to lose interest in her career and she largely continued to get bit parts; her last appearance was in a Charlie Chan movie in 1937. she deserved better!!
This is round 1 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.

IT'S IN HIS KISS (2005)
Chapter twenty.
"And we'll have the most marvelous time later that night, kissing and begging each other's forgiveness."
I hope and pray they continue to develop this sibling relationship. Colin really is the best role model to him, and it's sweet for Gregory to have someone to look up to that he has so much in common with. I can totally imagine Colin getting similarly excited (with a little more confidence) at Daphne or Eloise's parties growing up. Let Colin be in the tree in S8!! Give him the brotherly relationship that he's still left out of with A&B!!
*shouting hopefully into the void* Does anyone else have an oddly deep affinity for On The Way to the Wedding? Like to the point where you yearn to write sappy fanfic about Gregory, Lucy and their 958 children and already can't wait to see their story on Netflix while simultaneously fearing that the writers will screw it up?!
I should hate the fact that Gregory continues the books' compulsion to have every alleged hero engage in some deeply, weirdly problematic behavior and also that he spends too much of the time mistakenly thinking he's "in love" with someone other than our heroine. On the surface, it's a strange choice of tropes for the final entry in this series, and yet it makes a weird sort of sense - it gives Julia Quinn one last opportunity to explore what real love is and how sharply it differs from our dreams and delusions, which really is the overarching theme of the series.
Gregory is such an endearingly earnest, well-meaning, cheerfully oblivious, amusing dope that I can't help but love and root for him and how his juvenile infatuation with beautiful, sweet Hermione crumbles in the face of his real love with blunt, logical, down-to-earth Lucy. I love when the male characters turn out to be the dreamy, romantic optimists while the heroines are the logical, practical realists since it's so often the other way around in this genre.
Lucy doesn't initially stand out as vibrant, unique or bursting with personality, but I ended up loving her Monica Geller-esque vibe as the more serious, obsessively detail oriented, initially overlooked friend who yearns so deeply for a family of her own but doesn't let herself truly believe in love until meeting Gregory. He lets her laugh, hope and dream. She broadens his entire perspective and makes him deeper, more thoughtful...better.
It's such a blast how the last two books in the series suddenly introduce a slightly campy goth vibe with evil scheming relatives and blackmail and sinister secrets and our Bridgertons committing minor crimes without necessarily realizing it - what a welcome, fun change from the plots (or...lack of plots?!) we usually get from this series and the genre in general!
I love this artist!
