If Cartoon Characters Looked Their Age by Andrew Tarusov
Russian artist Andrew Tarusov has created a series of illusory illustrations, which depict what our favorite animated characters would look like as senior citizens. The dark comics feature a homeless Goofy, a rich Mickey mouse with his wife, Mickey, which appears to have gone under the knife several times and Tom & Jerry hanging by a thread.
The vintage style pin-ups are inspired by his decade-long life as an animation artist in Los Angeles, California. Tarusov’s satirical pieces demonstrate the dangers of glamour, vanity and indulgence in our culture by using the most wholesome figures in cinema.
