Vin sighed, looking at the case he held in his other hand. Initially, it seemed like it was made of decent material, but it was very obviously not as study as he had originally thought. “I’m not sure. I may have ordered it online…or I could’ve asked someone to go out and buy it for me. Either way, I’ll have to look into what I buy next time so this,” He tapped his phone. “doesn’t happen again.”

“well, if you’re up for a little adventure...” the manx princess began, folding her arms and grinning at him. she did love to encourage bad behaviour, and though she didn’t know if he’d be down for it, irma thought it didn’t hurt to try. tilting her head to try and get a gage on him, she wondered if he might just be excited to shake things up a bit. “ ... we could always sneak out of the castle and get a new one now.”

“Hmm good to hear, I always want to make an impression on you.” His words whispered as his lips moved down, sucking softly along her neck. He would leave a small mark there, but it wouldn’t be one that she could easily cover if he had his way. “You have made an impression yourself, my princess.”

with a soft little moan, irma was caught off guard, but not not displeased. if this was wat married life was like, she’d marry him tomorrow. “darling man,” she laughed softly as he pulled himself off her neck. hands coming up to cup daan’s jaw, she shook her head, clearly quite happy with this arrangement. “i do try my best.”

“Heh,” he smirked to himself. “You wish you could see this everyday.” It was nice to keep his sense of humor in such a time of stress. Or so Luca thought. “Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you–” he would have hugged the woman for her assistance were he not wet and only wearing a towel. “There’s a kart nearby, I think. It should have some towels and bathrobes…” he paused, glancing at the woman with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “How do you feel about some theft?”

“i wouldn’t be opposed,” the young woman countered, arching an eyebrow and smirking slightly in response, before laughing. she wasn’t so much of an asshole that she’d leave him stranded and naked. irma, tossing her hair over her shoulder in a mock-arrogant fashion, tilted her head towards him. “me? theft? such a scandal.” she remarked, before grinning. “i’ll be back in a moment--” the princess said, moving to find the cart, before turning back to tease him. “don’t go anywhere!”

“Let’s hope it’ll be faster to just replace it instead of having to buy, and set up, an entirely new one,” Vin said. He’d never broken his phone this badly before. He’d cracked the screen a handful of times beforehand, but it was still operational enough as he waited to be given a new one. “I thought the case on this was decent enough, but it must’ve been defective.”

“clearly,” irma mused, before tilting her head. she wasn’t really able to see much, considering she didn’t really know how phones worked, but still, the thought was there. “where’d you even get a case this faulty?” she asked, leaning back to look at him. “surely a prince couldn’t get duped by a shitty salesman.”

“Oh yeah? Well how to you plan to test that?” Daan grinned to her. “Yeah, I have. More than once but I have a feeling you’re going to push my and see just how much you can get away with and I’ll tell you now, it won’t be much.” With that, he pressed a kiss to her lips, testing the water. 

leaning in to kiss him back, her lips smirking against his, irma had decided that whoever had arranged this had done her a favour. she hadn’t been looking forward to this pairing, but if he wasn’t as shy as he lead on, this would work out well. pulling back an inch, the princess couldn’t help but chuckle. “well, i for one can’t wait to push those boundaries.” she teased. “you’ve made quite the first impression, daan.”

Of course! 

Clary is much too intelligent for her own good. Lucky for me she seems to like to stir up trouble. There’s nothing I love more than good powers used for evil / @clarybernadotte

While we’re on women with a dark side Nasrin has that cynical intelligence that I adore.  I cannot wait to see the damage she can do in England! / @hrhnasrin

Who doesn’t love a mystery? Irma provides it in spades. Of course, I only enjoy secrets when I’m the one spilling them. Would she be quite as interesting if she hadn’t disappeared? / @dearirma

Jane is exactly the sort of put together princess who I love to see fall. Cut off her high heels and we’ll see just how kind she really is. I think there’s a tiger hidden there somewhere! / @princessjanegrimaldi

Daan hummed, letting her get settled before he leaned over to keep whispering to her. “Oh I can handle it, I can handle you as much as you want to be handled. Or I can be hands off and still keep you in line, my beloved princess. Some girls just need the right kind of…person to help them with their troublemaker side.” 

the nicknames, despite their eventual marriage, threw her off a little. she wasn’t opposed to them, not in the slightest, but it did surprise her. raising her eyebrows at his bold claim, irma laughed, pleased. “oh, is that so?” she asked. “well, i’ll be interested to see just how much you can, in fact, handle.” irma mused. “have you handled many troublesome girls?”

Vinay hadn’t expected it to happen. It was supposed to be unbreakable. Indestructible. Shatterproof. Out of all things that could have ruined his day, this had to be the worse. He held his phone, which was broken in his hands. The screen completely shattered. The expensive case had clearly not done it’s required job. “Of course, this is how I had to start my day,” Vin sighed. He showed off his phone to the person nearest to him. “Do you think this is fixable? I may need to just order another one…”

“fucking yikes, dude.” irma laughed, leaning over to look at the shattered phone. she felt bad for him, really, because she could imagine how shitty this would feel -- but there was something at least a little funny in the irony of it. his case, one that looked like it was supposed to be sturdy, was not at all. “i think you could fix it. looks like it might just be the screen.” she offered, hoping that at least, for his sake, it wasn’t all bad. “you definitely need to order a better case, though.”

Bailey, the Yorkshire Terrier running around the halls and a blonde in heels rushing after her. Her small teacup-sized dog had managed to get free from her arms and decide that it was time to play. ❝Bailey! Come back here!❞ A princess shouldn’t be rushing after her own pet but she does because this was the most normal thing in the world for her. ❝Someone catch that dog!❞ Her heel comes flying off in her rush, which forces her to stop in her run after her dog. ❝Where’s my shoe?❞ She is lucky Bailey has her own collar that tells who she belongs to given that they were at a new place. 

irma hadn’t realised there were pets in the castle. raising her eyebrows as she sipped at her coffee, she watched as the little dog ran past -- she hadn’t realised it had belonged to somebody, otherwise she’d have tried to grab the energetic little thing. “are you alright?” she asked the blonde, sitting up in her seat a little straighter. coffee could wait, adventure couldn’t. this castle was too stuffy for her, and she’d take any chance at some fun. “you need some help?”

“Okay, okay, calm down Luca, just a little early morning nudity nothing to be–hey you!” Luca called out, hopping down the hall as he desperately held the towel around his waist in place. He had never been shy of his physique, all those hours at the gym deserved to be seen by somebody, but hoping down the hall naked and damp could do things to a man’s ego. “Hey, I know how this looks but I was taking a shower and I heard something outside and well, the important part is that I’m locked out of my room and I’m cold and naked so please help me.” 

“well, this is certainly something you don’t see every day,” irma mused, unable to keep the laugh from her voice. approaching the very desperate and very naked man opposite slowly, the princess raised her eyebrows. she wasn’t exactly sure what she could do, but she didn’t quite have the heart to leave him this helpless. humming softly, the brunette slid her hands into her pockets and nodded. “alright. i got a little time -- what do you need me to do? aside from... help you be not naked, i guess.”

“Oh, I can be shy but I didn’t see the point in shyness with you. I mean, you’re going to see all of me, mentally, emotionally and physically, so why hide?” Daan replied as he leaned over him. “I could show you but only if you’re going to be a good girl.” He whispered into her ear. 

with a rather pleased laugh, irma sat back down beside him. watching him with curious eyes, the princess hummed slowly, seeming to think it over. “‘good’?” she repeated, eyebrows raising. “i suppose that’s doable. though, like i said, i am trouble.” irma told him, perhaps implying she was not as obedient as was expected of princesses. “is that something you can handle?”

The moment she mentioned where she was from, he knew why she seemed familiar to him. Nodding he shrugged a bit. “I’ve been known to cause drama and trouble myself, So I guess we’re a set match aren’t we?” Trying to reassure her. 

“you know, i think we just might be,” she grinned, taking another sip of her water before leaning over him to place it on his bedside table. with a hum, she added, “you know, someone told me you were rather shy. i believe you were supposed to be a good influence. how are you gonna lay down the law if you’re just as much trouble as i am?”

Feeling her touch, he didn’t move to get away from her. Watching he smirked and then turned to a smile. “Well I’m sorry it took you so long. You’re welcome. Did you get all you needed?” Sitting back a bit more. “Well I’m Daan, the middle child of my family, 25 and I’m from Belgium. I enjoy reading and learning new things. Your turn, beloved.” 

irma wondered vaguely if he’d heard of her disappearance a few years ago. it had been global news, and so she couldn’t help but be curious -- but that wasn’t exactly the best way to introduce herself. “i’ve got a few siblings, on the younger side of them all. i’m from this dreadfully boring little place called the isle of man, and...” she paused, before shrugging. “...i’m known for being a little trouble.”

Daan’s brow raised, a smirk now on his lips. He filled a cup with water, handing it over to her. “Thirsty huh? Must have been a long journey for you. How long?” Knowing exactly what she met by her words. Sitting back on the bed with her, his smirk still played on his lips. 

taking the cup from him carefully, deliberately placing her hand over his, the young princess gave a coy shrug. “hm. long enough.” irma replied a little mysteriously, wetting her lips before breaking into a grin. “thank you for the drink. i needed it.” she said, taking a sip and maintaining eye contact. “so -- tell me about yourself.”

“Yeah, I guess so. Would you like something to drink? I have some soda, tea and thats about it.” Daan coming to walk past her, purposely lightly letting his shoulder press against hers. Sitting on the bed, he smirked. It was easy to lose the mask when the door was shut and well, his shyness was just an act at times. 

swinging her body playfully and lightly as his shoulder came to bump hers, irma felt her smile grow. oh, so that’s how this was going to be. sitting down next to him on the bed, she took a moment, before giving him a very particular look. it seemed her own joke was getting the better of her before she said it. “perhaps some water? i’m a little thirsty.”

Daan was taking back some, then smiled even more. Unlocking his door, Daan let her. Once they both stepped into the room, he shut the door and leaned against it. “I hadn’t gotten my letter yet when I arrived, it’s nice to meet you Irma. So you were looking to meet me quick huh?”

“what can i say?” she grinned, shrugging a little. “i like to know things.” and this was perhaps the most telling thing about herself she could have told him, especially so early on. turning to face him, irma folded her arms in contemplation, though the smile never left her face. “i’m making a point of getting to know you. probably important, right?”

Daan was on his way back to his room when suddenly he was face to face with a girl he didn’t even know. Yet she knew him, his arms crossed over his body. He was normally shy but being called out tended to push that aside some. “Who are you?”

smiling a little knowingly, watching him with wise eyes, irma looked him over. whoever had chosen him for her had done her a favour, that was for sure. pulling herself off the doorframe and taking a few languid steps towards him, she tilted her head and spoke. “no need to get all rough and tumble, big guy.” at least, not yet. “though i gotta say, little offended you don’t know what your betrothed looks like.” she said, smile growing. “irma ainsworth. nice to meet you.”
