Incoming Hiatus

Hiatus Alert: At least a month if not more. 

When I love BSD, including Dazai, I need to take a break from my blogs associated with BSD. I feel like if I don’t it will leave me with a sour taste in my mouth, and I might begin to hate the fandom. So many good fandoms have been ruined for me due to issues leading to soured tastes in my mouth. I do not wish to see this happen with this fandom. When I plan to finish out the Christmas asks I owe, my hiatus will begin at the start of the New Year. I will be trying to pile up as much as I can in my queue, but that is about it. 

When I will be taking a break from both this blog and Unsteadyheathens, it does not mean I will be taking a break from Tumblr as a whole. I will simply be active in a different fandom, as well as active on discord. This is the third time I have created a BSD blog and the second time that this blog will be going on hiatus. Though this is for the betterment of my own sanity. 

Things will be changing when I come back.

The brunette wasn't exactly without being stubborn even in the position he was in. He couldn't help but hum, it was the holiday season after all. Maybe it would even convince the other to stop being such a grump. "How about instead of stabbing me, ya let me go. I clearly have no reason to be under ya watch so naturally for my Christmas present I should be able to be free. I do have a hotel to run and we get the busiest during this season , they do need me back. So if ya would let me go, it would be appreciated. These ropes aren't exactly the most pleasant."

Sure, the brunette's heart was pounding in his chest at the other's threat. Though he couldn't help his smart aleck reply either, it was a bad thing that he should work with but it was also part of his charm he thought. It wasn't like he was begging to be let go, he simply was trying to get to the female's holiday spirit, if it so much as existed. So just to be his stubborn self he continued to hum in front of the blond. He didn't want to be stabbed, it would hurt even if he did manage to activate his ability against her and share the pain with her... but still. He hated the pain so much, the ability he had didn't take it away exactly and he still had to endure it.

Stabbing hurt, torture hurt. "Come on it is the holidays, let me go as a sign of good cheer. Surely ya aren't all stab happy at all." He was trying his best to work his wrists out of the rope, maybe he could get free and make a run for it. He just had to make sure that she didn't actually stab him. Most might be quiet or might beg for their lives, but the stubborn heir didn't know how to be quiet really.  Sure he could mask so much about his emotions, a habit that had improved so much with all the levels of problems in people he had to deal with. "Ya just not happy about something, perhaps we can talk about it~" Another approach.

The brunette's phone was vibrating nonstop and it only made him sigh. "Mimi, that is not how it works and ya know it. When ya sector most likely could work like that, my side doesn't work that side. Ya know how Chu is. He needs to me hold his hand at all times since he can't decide anything on his own. Stupid chibi." He had to reframe from cussing too much, but it was hard with the vibrating phone that kept going off. Really Chuuya should be more used to things like this happening. What was worse was they were having to work on Christmas. Not that Dazai truly cared or anything, but clearly Miran cared.

Miran also lived in the apartment with him, thus he couldn't just skip out. She might throw out his dinner if he did that. "I don't really want to go, but I don't exactly get the final say on when I'm needed. Executive or not. Sure Chu should be able to handle it, but he might just do something stupid without me. Can we reschedule dinner, babe? I'll try to resolve it as soon as possible, because this phone won't stop going off if I don't go. The door might be kicked down too. I'd rather not get to hear about this repeatedly." That of course meant the door as well.

"Miran.... no" the brunette said grabbing his childhood friend's hand. "Ya need eggnog about as much as I need to give ya a knife. I refuse to see my girlfriend getting wasted on eggnog." Dazai might drink and enjoy his hot sake and his whiskey, but he by no means wanted to see Miran drinking eggnog. Sure there was the nonalcoholic type, but she didn't mean that type. No they didn't get the nonalcoholic type of anything, they just made sure to keep it away from Strelitzia. He had never tried eggnog of the nonalcoholic variety and thought maybe he should buy some for Miran, but she would probably find a way to get the real stuff anyways.

"I refuse to let my girlfriend turn into an alcoholic. My partner is bad enough on wine. I don't need to deal with two lightweights this time of year." He knew he couldn't watch Miran twenty four seven due to his job, and knew even more that he couldn't take Miran into the Christmas party. The mafia couldn't know about her, and yet Mori probably already knew about her anyways. Should the Port Mafia boss care about what his members did in their free time, no. Though Dazai was his protegee and the heir to Port Mafia , so naturally the man would probably care.

That was his phone rang and he glared at it. Speak of the fucking devil. He hung up and took Miran's hand "eggnog it is!~ We're seeing if it will get me drunk tonight cause there is no way I'm doing any of this sober." Not like he didn't remember when he drank, but he was not going to play babysitter twice and now with that phone call, he needed a drink. "I wonder if I can kill my boss for Christmas. Sure it would make the next boss, but at this point nothing worse could happen."

The brunette looked down as his childhood friend asked such a harmless question. Brown eyes eyeing the ground and his shoes rather than looking at her. "Uh...." his voice was soft. He knew he wasn't in trouble, unless he was, but he couldn't help himself. He had never decorated with tinsel and the stuff had gotten everywhere. "Ya know I never used this stuff before, Mimi. I didn't know it didn't go there. I don't even how it got all over the couches and the bed and the desk. Okay the desk I understand but not everything else...."

He couldn't help but half play with his hands. It still felt so weird to be decorating for Christmas like this, the poor youngest member of the Tsushima family couldn't help but be slightly jumpy. "I normally wasn't the decorating type, it didn't make sense and anyways we had servants to decorate for us. I don't see why... ah ... ahh... chooo" he sneezed and tinsel came out. "Why does it stick to everything" he half whined and retreated to the couch. He actually seemed so much more timid at the moment, sure the other was happier when he was with Miran--- but despite being in Yokohama, this time of the year was the one that was meant for family time , and it meant double duty with both his family and Miran's.

"I don't want to see them, I think I'm coming down with something. Let's call it off and tell my family to stay far far away from the hotel..... please" he said and leaned back on the couch half curling up on it. Miran was his promised wife since they had been young , and now that they were both of age , the two had been married. Though it wasn't like Shuji didn't still try to stay far away from his family if given the chance. It was at least good they weren't having to go to Kanagi, but still. "Tell all the staff to turn my family away, I don't want to see em. I've got tinselitis."

Brown eyes watched the other , he half expected Chuuya to actually be joking with those words. The brunette stepped forward and put hand to the ginger's forehead. "Are ya feeling okay there, chibi~ Have a few too many wines some how." He sniffed the air, didn't smell of alcohol. In fact, the other didn't seem drunk at all. He didn't really get Christmas , but those words sounded more like a joke especially coming from Chuuya. "Don't tell me ya got coal at Christmas time, chibi. Still wanting that wish to grow only for ya not to grow a single inch."

He moved away and clapped his hands together. "Ooooo I know ya trying to get me to dress up as various ghosts and visit ya tonight. Ooooor ya trying to sound like me for the holidays. Hmmm I give it a five for effort I suppose." He would take the hat from the other's head and put it on his own head. He hummed happily "if ya Scrooge no need for ya to have ya precious hat at all. Who knows ya might already be in the presence of the first ghost. Or perhaps I'm ya past, present and future all in one~"

The brunette was having a little too much fun with this. "If ya anyone from that , I don't see ya as Scrooge though. Ya tiny Chuu the newer version of Tiny Tim. Well that would mean ya die in the end, not a Merry Christmas at all." He took off running with hat in his hands to avoid a surprise attack after that. Yes, he was terrible around the ginger. Though he couldn't for a minute see Chuuya as some Scrooge. He turned on his heels and half walked backwards. "Scrooge is rich after all, and a grumpy old man. If anyone is Scrooge it is Mori~" Dazai would make everyone mad at him if Mori so much as heard him.

A fake little pout formed on Dazai's lips when the other spoke such words. "I'm hurt, Kou. I have ya know I am wonderful with knives~" A Port Mafia Christmas, but anyone would be slightly hesitant in letting the executive carve the turkey or anything that required a knife. Afraid that he might turn it into some type of massacre , be it the turkey or for actual blood to be split. "I thought ya of all people would trust me." He was pretending so much to be hurt, but it wasn't like he needed to get the knife from the turkey if he truly wanted to do anything.

It was true the other always had a gun on him rather than a blade, but he could easily get a blade. Chuuya for example he could steal from from. He could easily get a scalpel from Mori or he could get from his personal collection of tortured tools. This was a smaller gathering of mostly the executives with a few honoured members besides the boss himself. "I'm harmless~" They had made sure he was not seated by Chuuya, but there were only so many spots that they could put the two and thus they were across from each other.

Though no one in the Port Mafia could be considered harmless in the slightest, especially when it came to executives. Dazai was also even less harmless when his darkness came out to play. "I mean I'm sure ya not the only one who doesn't trust me to do such~"

Should he really be surprised by the question that Atsushi had asked? Probably not. Should he have tried to hold back laughter for the sake of his poor boyfriend. Yep, he should have. Did he? Nope. He started chuckling at the other. "O...of course they won't taste like magic or anything. Wait, Atsu ya think they look magical?" His brown eyes were twinkling. The two were alone and outside of the Agency. Atsushi was such a kid, it was so adorable. The way the other had wished to get candy canes. He naturally had allowed him.

He entwined his fingers with the other, his chuckling dying down. "Ya so cute, I swear." Atsushi loved Christmas and it showed, the other still believed in Santa. That was the adorable part, but Dazai would easily play along to keep his boyfriend being his sunshine tiger self and not somehow becoming all mopey. Couldn't have that happened, it was like the opposite of Atsushi's character. He didn't think he ever wanted to not see the other smiling and being joyful.

Sure, the brunette wasn't big on Christmas himself. It was a ritual he didn't understand the point in truly. Though he did try his best to celebrate it to both be a good boyfriend and to annoy the crap out of people such as Kunikida. "What did ya think they would taste like anyways? I'm quite curious in this~ What does magic taste like in my Atsu's land~"

The there in question was .... well everywhere. Dazai had been left alone with decorations and had tossed the tinsel everywhere to make the area sparkle at every place. He, himself, was also covered in tinsel from head to toe. The room looked as though someone had simply taken some form of glitter bomb and had it explode in the room. The ceiling even was heavily covered with tinsel and it dripped down like icicles. Despite the glittery mess, the room was truly in the Christmas spirit now. No one should leave Dazai alone with shiny things, that was the moral of the story.

It would have made more sense if Dazai held Chuuya's ability, that was the only way one could have expected Dazai to reach the rather high ceilings with tinsel. He might have good aim , but it only made one wonder how he had gotten tinsel on the ceiling to begin with. He grinned "wouldn't ya like to know, Chuu~ I have my secrets, though I suppose I could be convinced to tell ya~" His brown eyes were sparkling as he faced the ginger. He took some of the tinsel that was hanging from his shoulders and hung it on Chuuya, "Now my ginger is slightly decorated too~"

That was when a small section of glittery mess rained down on Chuuya's head and Dazai started to chuckle. "Even the room is trying to help me decorate my ginger boyfriend for the holidays~" He was beaming and that was at least a good thing, it was better then some of the other things that Dazai could be doing at this moment.

Cooking classes at school. Their assignment was meant to be to make some kind of holiday sweet. The brunette was rather creative, not like many might think that of him at first glance. It only added to his mysterious air. He looked like he had been sprinkled with tons of glittery bits of editable sprinkles, and well it wasn't like he had tried to do such--- it just sort of resulted in that.

Brown eyes directed themselves at the blond at his side. A grin was upon his lips "do I now?~ Maybe ya should get them out for me Len." Had this devil actually done this himself to try to get attention or had he simply been thrown sprinkles everywhere just to finish his sweet? There were no sprinkles elsewhere on the counter top, and well Dazai's sweet was shielded away from site the whole time. "Dazai, don't tell me you are the sweet treat" one of the girls spoke , completely ignoring Lenny being so close to the other.

A dazzling smile was upon the brunette's lips for the girl. "If I said yes, what would ya do?~" Though he hardly let anyone even so much as touch him, especially his hair. Lenny was the only one could just touch him without him being the one to initiate the action. That meant of course toying with his wavy brunette locks, they were utterly soft and despite how unkempt they looked--- he did take care of his locks super well. He turned his attention back to Lenny. "Do ya want me to bend down a little bit so ya can get the sprinkles out for me?~"

A simple question, one that many might not expect a positive answer from the brunette with. Yet at the same time the moment the other asked him, eyes seemed to sparkle. "I thought ya would never ask, Soph" he was grinning quite happily. It was no mask or fake smile, at this point the two were past that stage of life. He had let Sophie in, the two were dating after all. The Christmas season still didn't make sense to the brunette, and most likely it would never be something he would grow use to in the slightest. Christmas was after all just some ritual that people went through.

Believe it or not the brunette actually was a decent artist. He let very few people actually be clued in on that sort of thing after all. He enjoyed drawing and painting though, it was his little secret unwinding time. So this was like his time to shine. "Wait is it one that we are baking or just decorating? Like I know there are kits and what not, but ya just seem like the type who would enjoy doing it all from scratch." He had wrapped his arms around her, lightly and inhaled her scent. "I mean I don't know how much help I would be in the cooking but decorating--- I would love nothing more then to spend time with ya like that."

Dazai couldn't cook, well not unless one wanted to be poisoned by his cooking. He didn't follow recipes , surely if he did--- well his cooking might actually be alright. Not like he burned anything when he cooked, he just had a tendency to add his own special spin on things to spice things up. After all poison wasn't exactly something unknown to him, he did still try to convince Sophie to commit a double suicide with him from time to time. Though all in all that part of him had cooled down considerably since the two got together.

He stopped midway with the taste of doing such a task. He couldn't help himself in the slightest. Normally he would be the one putting up the mistletoe, but he had his reasons for doing the opposite. Brown eyes eyed the girl "yes and what of it?" His face was masked of emotion, no playfulness in his voice nor any level of sparkle in his eyes. What was the cause of this? Had he perhaps decided to not try his hand at this Christmas thing? Not like Dazai truly understood Christmas nor any type of ritual really anyways.

"I don't really see the big deal really? It is just some object that people have deemed is associated with this Christmas thing." Some people used real mistletoe when others used fake decorations, it really was to each their own type of thing. He crumbled the pointy levels that was threatening to break the skin upon the palm of his hand. Crushing the thing and tossing it to the side, slightly stained with his blood--- it was real.... wonderful. Not like the thing caused him pain or anything, he had even read that this plant was poisonous. Not like putting into his bloodstream would do anything for the brunette.

Festive Prompts Status: Still Accepting

The brunette couldn't help but smile at his accomplishment. It truly was one for the brunette whose cooking didn't exactly come out as the best anyways. Not like his food could talk and come alive or anything, that would be a true nightmare. Though these little gingerbread men actually had been decorated like zombies. He had been left alone in the apartment, Miran had her own thing to do and well Zia she was still a growing child who needed her education. So he thought he would surprise the girls with these gingerbread men.

So he had tried his best to cook these little treats so well that they didn't turn poisonous. The only poisonous about these things was the decorations. Covered in very elaborate decorations of candy and icing, he had perhaps went a tad overboard with everything. Candy guts were made with things like licorice and fruity string. They were the most realistic thing in the world and that is what made them the stuff of nightmare. They had even been arranged in their own little scene. Some of the gingerbread men weren't zombies and instead were in their little gingerbread town.

Honestly the thing cried that the executive had perhaps been a little too bored or he had perhaps just decided to go a little overboard with everything. "Why not?~ I think I did pretty good if I say so myself. I wanted to do something for ya and Zia~"  Though this might just give Zia nightmares, though it wasn't like he hadn't come home covered in blood many times. Dazai did his best really, and despite being someone who killed and tortured, he was actually quite creative all in all.

Festive Prompts Status: Still Accepting

This was a rough time for him, not like he ever let anyone know about why. Not even the few who he had let in to begin with, because telling them that--- it would simply let them know too much. The brunette exeucitve had secluded himself and was staring at the water. He thought he had secluded himself enough, but the other male's voice cut through his thoughts. He had made sure not to tell anyone where he was, including Oda. Yet the other had found him all the same. Maybe he was more predicable then he thought, or maybe he had wanted the other to find him really.

Single brown eye going to look at the other. "I thought ya would be with the kids" his voice held no emotion in it. Normally it did when he was around the other, but he actually seemed like he felt nothing , his mask firmly in place. It was better like this for now, after this day was over... he would be fine. He could go back to things. The brunette was just in his typical black suit, the jacket draped around his shoulder like normal. The two were basically from different worlds. Oda cared about kids when he... well he had no clue how to even deal with them.

No one could know about that past life of his, not even the other who had come to find him. Some warm sake would be nice right about now, but he couldn't even force himself to indulge himself. He was rather wanting to be left with his thoughts, a dangerous place. Though a part of him was glad Oda was there. His left rib was hurting so much right now , but he didn't show a thing on his face. His single brown eye went back to looking at the water. The other's face had a bit of red upon his nose and cheeks from sitting out in the cold like he had been.

What would Oda do if he did know the truth? Not like the other would utter the truth to others, he was loyal as a friend. He was someone who had brought Dazai curiosity and even joy. Yet, at this point nothing showed, no smile or child like playfulness. He seemed almost dead inside. He could have been in the Port Mafia building , could have done things with Chuuya and Kouyou... even Mori-- even if he was grumpy soul. Yet Dazai had went off on his own the night before , without a single word to anyone.
