HAPPY BIRTHDAY TA-CHAN 7/27 !! ❤❤
I kinda forgot where I was going with this
For mothers day, a question: how is Eikichi's relationship with his mother?
[ oooohhh well hello mother’s day anon!! y’know, this is actually a subject i was planning on talking about at some point in a post of its own completely.. but i guess i see no reason why i couldn’t discuss it right now just as well! i mean, it does fit!
to be honest, and this is mostly from guide book information, it’s kind of complicated? the two get along well enough – much better than eikichi and his terrible, horrible dad who he’s deadly afraid of !! – but eikichi still has some complicated feelings towards his mother? she’s actually mentioned in the innocent sin world guidance book as one of the things under “苦手なもの” (things he has a difficulty dealing with/avoids) along with his father and fish. thankfully, the reason is specified, so i don’t have to start speculating too much.
so apparently eikichi’s mother is chubby, just like eikichi himself used to be as a child. now, eikichi’s own childhood chubbiness, and getting bullied for it so much and harshly, as well as the traumatic event between him and miyabi regarding it (losing someone so important for a conflict caused by it), has definitely caused him a huge complex regarding it (as well as internalized fatphobia). he’s heavily implied to have some sort of an eating disorder (at times kinda sounds like orthorexia maybe, don’t know how much he still restricts the quantity of the food he eats but he definitely avoids “””bad””” foods and he mentions how he used to restrict…) and definitely still has major body image and self esteem issues stemming from that past, and has a tendency to start feeling really uncomfortable whenever he’s reminded of his past, chubby self. one major instance of this is how badly he started projecting on miyabi (back when she was just “kozy” to him when he didn’t know it was her yet) because she was chubby. calling her names and other kind of nasty comments about her (not to her face, but still) and in general being kind of gross about the fact she was overweight. his discomfort over being reminded of that “triggered” him to project and act that way.
it’s essentially something similar with his mother; the reason she is listed under things he has a difficulty dealing with. it’s specified in the book that he feels uncomfortable with the fact that she’s chubby because he believes he inherited this quality from her when he was a child; gaining weight easily, and such. in a way, you could say he almost blames her for it. so it is indeed a bit complicated.
other than that, i do feel they have a warm relationship. i remember one of the first things that made me consider eikichi’s mother more in depth (since she’s never shown in game) was a line of dialogue a little after the first encounter with maya and yukino, describing the nostalgic, warm feeling he got from maya: “It’s… like a nice memory… Warmer than what I felt with Tatsuya and Ginko… Like a hug from my mom…” – i realized quickly, that for him to use those words their relationship couldn’t be so bad. i mean, yes, we could have taken it as him only using that metaphorically. but in japanese he says the same thing, and uses the same word for mother (ママン maman) as when referring to his own mother in the guide book. by the way, “maman” to me sounds like kind of a childlike (but also affectionate?) way to refer to one’s mother too, and makes me feel that much more confident about my theories on all this(? japanese is not my native language by any means tho so im not 100% sure about the connotations in this?)
another important thing revealed in the books is that while eikichi’s father is dead set on eikichi inheriting the sushi shop and continuing his legacy – super disapproving of eikichi’s own dreams and disregards his feelings as well as reacting violently and with anger upon seeing eikichi wearing makeup and his hair dyed blue and wearing what he wears – apparently eikichi’s mother knows and approves of/supports both his music hobby as well as him wearing makeup and all that. in the book she specifically comments on it with something along the lines of “well, is it not just fine?”. eikichi knows she’s fine with it, too. so ultimately he is keeping all of this a secret because of his dad specifically.
i do feel eikichi’s mom genuinely loves and cares for and worries about eikichi. and is sad about the way kankichi treats him, wishes she could interfere, especially knowing truly how sensitive eikichi actually is – but i don’t think she ever does. at most, i see her timidly suggesting kankichi go a bit easier on him, but nothing more than that. because i think ultimately her and eikichi are in the same boat; submissive and afraid under kankichi’s “reign” of terror as the head of the household. she might even be afraid to interfere too much not out of fear that kankichi will necessarily hurt her or anything ( while he’s a disgusting, (most likely) misogynistic piece of shit who spouts toxic masculinity every chance he gets, i don’t think he’s physically abusive towards eikichi’s mother ? ) but out of fear that he’ll be even harder on eikichi if she does? (because it’s like bringing attention to the fact that he is sensitive.) i see him as the type to think it’s okay to use physical form of punishment on eikichi because he’s a “man” and “can (or should be able to) take it” but be one of those men who still also follow the “don’t ever hit women” kind of traditional chivalry stuff. i think eikichi’s mother is very much a victim of the role expected of her and has just accepted it, has accepted her fate as the more submissive “house wife”, this idea strengthened by kankichi always pushing this role on her as well… (perhaps shes naturally a little more timid as well, like eikichi used to be?) i think eikichi understands this situation, too, and has never blamed his mother for not interfering. more so feels like shit that he still can’t stand up to him himself…
eikichi and his mother were probably a little bit closer when he was still a little kid? i can see her be one to hold him and hug him when he was feeling upset – probably more so when kankichi wouldn’t be there to witness it, because he would have thought it was bad to “coddle” him like that because otherwise he’ll never grow up to be “tough like a man should” or some bullshit like that. but yes, i do have an image in my head of her comforting him a lot back then, probably also because of that line “a hug from my mom”..
and eikichi does love his mother a lot too and if it came to it, i think he’d be extremely defensive and protective of her. just the discomfort with the body image stuff and the internalized fatphobia is the biggest issue. i do think this is something that would get better after eikichi’s character development in IS upon meeting miyabi again, though, and accepting her and loving her even when she was chubby (which honestly would work even better if atlus didnt do what they did, which i like to change because my city now –), as well as getting closure with the thing that happened between him and miyabi. after all, it’s one of the things that made the subject so touchy for him in the first place, and the catalyst for his change. so by learning to get over this complex a little bit, he could start getting over this thing with his own mother too and become closer with her again. and if eikichi ever stands up for himself (like i always hc eventually happening, with some support, esp in my au verse) with his dad, maybe things can get better for his mother too. maybe then eikichi could demand he treat her better, too.
in conclusion, eikichi has a good, loving and caring mother and they feel warmly about each other. there are just some complex feelings, personal issues, that eikichi needs to get over to truly be close with her.. ]

BLACK CONDOR:
Such wise, reassuring words, to the Yellow Owl perhaps may not have presented themselves as anything to raise concern, yet they are, being of a bittersweet nature. Sweet, initially would be the thought to pass, and for children, perhaps the only — what a sweet kid — while the next thought to arise would be the curious thought of why. Knowledge came from somewhere, and the boy held a great sum, and in this case, he showed off his emotional intelligence, far beyond his years.
All Jun wanted was for his friends to be happy. It was certainly no joy to see Eikichi like this, crouched down and shedding tears. With their masks, all of them were so confident. They didn’t cry, supported endlessly by one another. They were the feathermen! —and they never knew the identities under the masks, only he and Tatsuya knew of eachother, until now. They didn’t have room to judge one another, they all loved their heroes, and had their own various quirks. Even if they for some reason had a thought, why say it? — how strange they had met at this festival by chance, and they were so alike with kindness. It was nice, yes, nice, to have these friendships with the little attention he would receive at home. He has a safe place here, and shouldn’t everyone else? He thought that way, but … bullies were different. Bullies took their pain out on others, they punished people for what they had to endure, some did it just for satisfaction, but that’s what his father told him. They picked on people because it made them feel better about themselves!
Dumb? Jun’s eyes widen when the quiet boy shouts. He didn’t usually see him like this, he must have been significantly caring and compassionate to have such a seemingly out-of-character reaction. He had heart. The boy tucks a strand of his dark hair behind his ear, lightly blinking. Oh, Yellow Owl had returned to his signature stutters. His voice even fell back to a softer tone.
“Neither of us like to fight. They probably think that’s dumb, because we — we’re boys, so… we should be willing to get our hands dirty and fight back!” Jun lowers his gaze now. “I think… it’s always boys picking on us and the girls! I want it to stop… I don’t know what to do.” for a brief moment, he had sounded angry, but the last few words had made him have this sad look. The shuffling from his friend when he went to stand caught his attention. Again, his vision focuses on what is there, the boy nearly laughs, not because it’s funny but the sudden, kind sentiment. It made the boy with sorrowful eyes very, very happy.
“I want to help too,” a warm smile. “I want us to care less about the bullies.” They should, right? They should learn to be happy with themselves, but that could only happen if they were able to push what these people thought out of their heads. Care less about everyone. He would in later years, but not in the way he desired.
“Eikichi? I’m happy to become closer friends! Do you wanna play together more? Even without the others… we still need to get your mask back, so…” Maybe they could go somewhere to get an adult, unless Eikichi really wanted to stay here until someone came?
Despite his lack of courage, something little Eikichi never lacked was passion for things he cared about. This was ultimately what had inspired such a seemingly sudden outburst, angered by the notion that Black Condor -- or rather, Jun -- went through similar torment in the hands of his peers as Eikichi did. For a child so young, his sense of justice had already reached a considerable level -- but what good was simply a strong sense of justice, when there was nothing he was brave enough to do to defend it? Bullies took advantage of such inability. Yet it was nothing like this in their group, and with the masks on. Truly, did Eikichi feel much braver with his mask on. But it wasn’t only that; the friends he’d made at the shrine treated him as one of their own. A sense of belonging, something he rarely experienced with other children. For Jun, it seemed to be the same. Even without their masks, the two little boys had so much in common. Even if their similarities were quite sad, there was some comfort to be had in finding someone who understood you that way.
The child’s small hand pressed against his chubby cheek, Eikichi listens to Jun talk, with round eyes and eyebrows raising at the accuracy of what the other boy says. Indeed, it was usually other boys who bullied Eikichi, too. Or, at least in the way what he had experienced just a moment prior. Most girls were indeed more mild-mannered, their hurtful behavior staying at the level of mean stares and general coldness; sometimes hurtful words, whispered behind his back. But never were they as straightforward as to attack him. Boys did that, because Eikcihi didn’t act the way he was expected to, as a boy like them himself; for instead being timid and sensitive. And -- just like Jun said -- not wanting to, or being able to fight back. Furthermore, getting bullied for his appearance and hobbies came on top of it all.
“Y-you’re right... I-it’s always other boys who are the m-m-meanest! Some girls are m-mean too... B-but...”
Suddenly, the little boy feels a slight heat rush to his face, for he had begun to blush. Talking about their treatment by others like this, he is inevitably reminded of one other person who, like the friends he’s made in the Masked Circle, treated him with kindness. One girl -- a classmate -- who never whispered mean things behind his back, who never stared at him with disgust or coldness, but rather, warmth and empathy. And although he has only known the girl since the start of the school year a few months back, the fuzziness the child feels with her is undeniable. It may have also been true that the girl treated everyone with similar kindness and respect as she did Eikichi. But it didn’t matter. In a way, it was all he could ever ask for. After all, to everyone else at school he was an outsider, someone to be treated differently.
“...T-there is someone at school who is n-nice to me...” he finally finishes his reply, cheeks still dusted with a noticeable, pink hue, while lips curl into a bashful smile. Shyly, the boy fiddles with his fingers, thoughts lingering on the girl he was talking about. “I-it’s a really good feeling to be treated n-nicely like that...”
For a while, Eikichi stares at his hands, still smiling, and eventually the little boy’s face regains its original color. Finally, Jun’s question prompts the boy to lift his gaze. When Jun mentions the mask, Eikichi remembers again -- something he quite curiously had almost forgotten about, having briefly lost himself in more pleasant thoughts. The Yellow Owl mask indeed still stared down at them from the tall tree the boys were sat under, stolen and put up there by the bullies earlier. Looking up at it again, the little boy pouts sadly. He truly didn’t mind playing or talking with Jun some more before the others came, like he had suggested. That was for certain! It all felt comfortable. And so he agrees, with a nod. “Y-yeah! W-we can play together more!” To exit the shrine and go look for an adult was out of the question, however. The nervous tone from earlier returns once again, as Eikichi expresses his fears about leaving the place.
“-- B-b-but we have to s-stay here! D-dad will be r-really really mad if I go somewhere else! S-someone has to come eventually though, r-right??”

Funny, how realization of something previously unknown quickly changed one’s perspective on so many things; the way certain things, certain people or certain places would be perceived. Eikichi could not remember having been to Alaya Shrine before; yet upon entering, for the first time with Tatsuya and others, something about this place in Rengedai – for seemingly no reason at all – had made the boy feel quite uneasy, urging him to leave. Not that visiting such place was necessarily his style anyway, but such ominous presence certainly felt unusual. So were things now, but they certainly weren’t always that way. He knew that now. Alaya Shrine. This place was indeed quite significant to Eikichi, as it was to his friends. No longer is Alaya Shrine simply the eerily familiar place from his dreams. Rather, what he recognizes as familiar are his memories. For a little while now, he’s finally remembered it all. It’s painful, but bittersweet all the same.
“Yeah…” he replies quietly, hanging his head as feelings of shame and guilt linger inside his chest. Alaya Shrine had seen the origin of their sin. Learning about the shrine’s dark past, rebuilt from scratch after fire had destroyed the original ten years prior, one could only feel deep reverence standing in front of it. But to have a personal connection with that very event… Needless to say, Eikichi knew just what Jun meant. One could have hardly guessed from the serene and silent atmosphere of the place what kind of terror it had once hosted. Not to mention its role in the birth of the chain of events escalating to this very moment. A dark secret indeed – the five friends of the original Masked Circle aware of all its frightening details.
Eikichi spends a moment in silence, contemplating those words; the emotions they had sparked. For someone like Jun to say that – well, it was very like him. But for him to have remembered what others had forgotten all this time – even if those memories eventually became twisted and distorted – certainly shrouded those words in a special kind of heaviness. Yet he wasn’t necessarily being mopey right now, was he?
Eikichi lifts his gaze to look at the shorter male a small distance beside him, then at the rest of his friends. The tension created from the unknown of the future in front of them is obvious, but even more obvious is the hopefulness and strength of resolution painted on everyone’s faces. With a chuckle and a shrug, Eikichi shakes his head. The previous moment of solemn silence is quickly thawed by the sight he is witnessing, instead replaced with a characteristically naive grin tugging at the corners of the boy’s lipstick covered lips. He turns to Jun, observing the face half hidden by heavy bangs. As Eikichi had guessed, the look on the boy’s face is neither mopey or desperate, but simply thoughtful. Still, the taller male sees fit to contribute to the conversation with a hint of positivity. Just like the centerpiece of it all – Big Maya – had since long ago taught them all to do.
“…Still, what’s done can’t really be undone, right? We just gotta try and make the best of it. As long as we stick together, it’s gonna be all right! Just like Big Maya said! — So let’s go and put an end to what we started. Right, Jun?”

REPOST DON’T REBLOG !
TAGGED BY: stolen from the depths of my other blog TAGGING: everyone did this in like 2016 .. if you haven’t though then ! i recommend.
1. WHAT THEY SMELL LIKE / eikichi mentions in game that he doesn’t wear cologne, which leaves me to believe this might be compensated with an excessive use of deodorant instead. it’s not so pleasant, but for some reason i see him be one of those teenage boys. mostly just because i feel he would be self-conscious about smelling like sweat, as he only really gets to shower in the evenings and wakes up super early (like, around 5 am) due to a very specific situation at home where he has to sneak out of the house before his parents wake up (elaborated more on 4.). aside from the sometimes obnoxious smell of deodorant, you’ll also be able to smell tons of hairspray and the blue spray hair dye he temporarily dyes his hair with every morning, if you’re close enough to him or even tall enough to smell it. at home he may feel that he smells like the sushi shop he lives in, a smell which he absolutely despises and that he’s pretty hypersensitive to, making it so that not other people would even smell it quite as strongly as he does. he wears completely different kinds of clothes at home though anyway, so–
2. HOW THEY SLEEP (SLEEPING POSITION, SCHEDULE, ETC) / eikichi’s sleeping positions are about as graceful as his tendency to faceplant every time he faints in battle. nah, but he’s definitely an all limbs spread out, free-falling sleeper. on his stomach though, not on his back. i looked into what some people think it might mean and:
“Free fallers are sensitive extroverts who dislike criticism.”
funnily enough that does sound like him. anyway yeah, pretty much spread out, on his stomach, taking as much space as possible… he’s a very heavy sleeper also, not easy to wake him up if he’s fast asleep and/or comfortable. though to be honest, he probably isn’t all that comfortable at home. his dad is all about that Traditional Japanese stuff so he most likely just sleeps on like, a futon. and not that futon’s can’t be comfy, but his isn’t any luxury futon either, but one that was last changed like 10 years ago and gotten flatter and less comfortable with age.
eikichi doesn’t stay up that late (at least on purpose, though doing his homework might go kinda late into the night if it’s difficult and he had to work that day), because he has to wake up super early as mentioned before and because he doesn’t really have that much to do at home during evenings. i feel he doesn’t feel comfortable/can’t really play music (unless really quietly), i don’t think he owns a computer, he’s probably forced to help out with the sushi shop kinda often as soon as he gets home from school which is super tiring… (though he often stays away from home until the shop closes, to avoid having to help out and comes up with excuses for it) .. he does his homework (which sometimes takes long if it’s difficult subjects and because he is not an academic = book smart person) because he needs to keep up good grades both because of his dad pressuring him but also because he wants to better kasugayama’s reputation as its boss. to set an example. if he’s got any free time left at most he might do some drawing but there’s one specific headcanon i have where he doesn’t draw as much as he used to as a kid, before some plot stuff in p // 2’s timeline in mt. iwato and after the events of p// 2 (in an au verse) when he picks up drawing more again. but!! that’s a hc for another time!
3. WHAT MUSIC THEY ENJOY / music’s a huge thing for eikichi, obviously, his dream is to be a singer in a rock band after all. he literally states that this dream is his reason for living. it’s his passion.
eikichi knows a lot about music history, especially rock music. he respects a lot of older rock music, even if he doesn’t necessarily consider it his favorite thing to casually listen to. i do still see him liking stuff like older punk rock, 80’s goth rock, garage rock/proto-punk, probably some classic rock, glam rock, some new wave… he’ll like some newer rock too but he definitely has a thing for stuff that were rock pioneers and changed the history of rock n roll.
aside from that, he also likes j-rock (referring to gas chamber as a visual kei band after all) and unfortunately, unlike with western rock history, i have not as much further knowledge of j-rock… but that is a thing i’ll eventually research. i wanna know.
either way, he generally listens to a lot of western music (as in american / european) compared to perhaps some - that is the rock stuff i mentioned before. his influences from it can be seen in how he uses random english in his everyday speech all the time (though j-rock songs also do that, …but they’ve also been influenced by western rock culture) and brags (lies) about being fluent in english. his pretty vast english vocabulary (judging from a japanese raw i’ve played) also seems like might have been influenced by listening to a lot of english lyrics in songs.
let it be added that in the english translation of the game eikichi constantly makes references to (mostly rock) songs. he’s mentioned for example the clash’s rock the casbah, sex pistols’ the great rock n roll swindle, the doors’ light my fire, van morrison’s brown eyed girl, REM’s shiny happy people and MC5’s kick out the jams and while this is really only a thing in the eng version (i think in jpn version he just says english phrases ??) it’s still a nice throwback to that whole western rock thing that i totally believe could be canon.
4. HOW MUCH TIME THEY SPEND GETTING READY EVERY MORNING / oh. well. A LOT. eikichi has to wake up around 5 am (doesn’t matter if he has school super early that day or not, he has to sneak out of the house after all, this is because his dad doesn’t know and don’t approve of his own personal style with the makeup etc. AT ALL .. meanwhile his mom actually knows and is ok with it! but his dad is the head of the house. ugh.) and upon waking up he will start from painting his nails black. he takes his showers/baths before bed in the evening, instead of in the mornings, to both save time and because he won’t risk waking his parents up. i think he dyes (with temporary spray hair dye) and styles his hair at home (has learned to be super careful to not stain anything by accident, prob takes extra precautions with it so that takes some time too), so he does that. spends a good amount of time in front of the mirror, checking every angle and feeling self conscious about his body and how his clothes sit on him (he might be skinny now but he still has body image issues because of his past). takes his makeup and accessories with him and sneaks out of the house before his parents wake up (which i imagine isn’t super late as they have a business to take care of, between 6-7 am) and makes his way to the local train station’s bathroom.
at the station’s bathroom is where he will paint his skin with white makeup (face, neck, hands and forearms - all that isn’t covered by clothes basically) after which he proceeds to doing his eyebrows, then his eyeliner, mascara… after all that he adds (dark blue or black) lipstick and white powder as a finishing touch. puts on his many accessories. sprays on some more hair spray as a final touch, just to be extra sure.
5. THEIR FAVORITE THING TO COLLECT / eikichi pretty much keeps anything personal like this hidden at home but i do think he collects CD’s he buys from giga macho in yumezaki, probably some band merch (or even stuff like guitar picks etc!) he might have gotten his hands on. concert tickets, artist signatures. accessories (rings, bracelets etc) that he thinks looks cool and kickass and fit his style. probably hoards dark lipsticks to be honest. sometimes he’ll buy music magazines. posters that he can’t hang on his wall but collects em anyway if they’re a band he likes. cool looking clothes, though some he customizes himself to some point.
6. LEFT OR RIGHT HANDED / eikichi is right handed judging from the way he wields his guitar case machine gun most of the time. (the in-battle sprites sometimes get mirrored, but if you pay attention to his armband you can tell which side is which)
7. RELIGION (IF ANY) / since his upbringing is all about that traditional japanese stuff he’s been pretty heavily exposed to shinto-buddhist stuff too so he knows religious traditions pretty well. i don’t think he personally cares that much for religious stuff but he might have some vague beliefs about afterlife. he does kind of believe in spirits and stuff, so he’ll be respectful and pray at a shrine also if prompted but i don’t think he goes out of his way to practice religion. mostly he’s kind of agnostic.
8. FAVORITE TOURISTY THING TO DO WHEN TRAVELING / eikichi would do a lot of shopping, try to find anything that catch his interest or otherwise looks cool. checks music stores. he likes the ocean (tho not necessarily swimming in it as you may imagine with his attire and body image problems - but for the atmosphere and i imagine because his element is water.) so if possible, he’ll def take a detour there. eikichi might be overly careful about what he eats from habit but he still very much likes good food and would probably want to taste something local (as long as it’s not seafood). he’d very much explore, he likes to experience the world around him and would probably try to arrange some fun activity with his friends.. i don’t think he’d like to travel alone as much.
9. FAVORITE KIND OF WEATHER / mild weather. anything too hot or humid melts his makeup and hair color and makes him sweat, both of which are a huge inconvenience as you can imagine. rain is also a thing he’ll avoid to the ends of the world because of his hair and makeup. handles slightly colder weather better than hot weather. i do see him really enjoying a mild sunshine in the springtime when cherry blossom trees and other flowers start to bloom and such. as an artistic person, he loves a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing environment. the hot and humid rainy season in the summer is definitely the worst thing ever though. he hates sweating.
10. A WEIRD / OBSCURE FEAR THEY HAVE / wouldn’t call it weird or obscure with the way he’s being treated at home, but eikichi is definitely deadly afraid of his father. his father who has lied is an expert in various martial arts, who occasionally physically punishes him and in general acts super rough and threatening and disapproving of pretty much any of eikichi’s own likes/interests/dreams and limits him from living his life the way he wants and from openly being himself!
eikichi is also somewhat afraid of negative feelings, as sensitive as he is, and has developed a sort of a defense mechanism where he will live in the moment as in to avoid brooding over things too much. it makes him seem tactless (sometimes trying to lift the mood with (sometimes bad) humor), fast paced and pretty carefree, maybe airheaded to some, but in actuality this attitude is just a form of escapism from falling too deep into the abyss that is his emotions. he keeps up a facade in public too, after all, that’s supposed to cover up for the sensitive and insecure boy that hides underneath and feeling something intensely might just break it. and sometimes does. well, he becomes gradually more comfortable with this in front of his friends (and shows his vulnerable side to miyabi and jun the most) but nevertheless. doesn’t help that eikichi’s dad teaches him toxic masculinity like “men don’t cry” and shit like that (says this if you blow up smile hirasaka with people still inside, visit gatten sushi after and he sees eikichi almost crying about it) something that eikichi actually does pretty easily.
afraid of failure. not in the way where he will be perfectionist about everything he does but… mostly just that his big dream of becoming a successful musician fails. he’s very optimistic but this optimism comes with the threat of potentially having his dreams crushed pretty hard which he, again as a very sensitive boy, would rather not go through. his dream is his reason for living as he states.. so if that fails, he might fall pretty hard. he’s trying to not ever think about that possibility, though.
has a phobia of sushi. just. smell and taste makes him gag because of bad feelings associated with it and being forced to eat it every day his whole childhood.
body image problems. past trauma for being bullied. insecurities from it. put that all together and you have a fear of!! what else!! but getting chubby again. gaining weight. no, he does not think that chubbiness makes anyone any less of a person (and he liked miyabi just as much despite her weight after he found out it was her!!). but he went through hell to get where he is now, is still not entirely comfortable with his body (all that bullying sticks to you pretty hard, and society’s beauty standards too obviously, but mostly the bullying) and would rather not undo all the hard work and suffering that got him here. and since he still doesn’t really love himself he’d rather not undo the little confidence he might have been able to successfully gain from his transformation. so yeah. gaining weight is one of his fears and makes him watch what he eats and be neurotic about his weight and i hate it. like, he literally avoids eating any meat for example in the fear that it will turn him chubby again. ahhh. my poor boy. you are perfect in any shape and form!!!
11. THE CARNIVAL / ARCADE GAME THEY ALWAYS WIN WITHOUT FAIL / eikichi is the type of person to do well or badly depending completely on his mood and thus how well he is able to concentrate. say he loses a game once and gets frustrated, if he tries to beat it again he probably does worse. and after that, even worse, if he’s even more frustrated. feelings take over and he is no longer able to perform as well because he’s flustered. so. i doubt anything having to do with precision is his thing (he’s clumsy as shit. ily.. but). however, i think anything that requires a lot of strength he’d be pretty darn good at. strength is his strongest stat after all (i got him to max strength (99) on lv 53 i think) and has the most strength out of the team (unless you give all the extra points you gain from lv ranks to tatsuya since those are up to you but that doesn’t count). so that one game - what’s it called? high striker or something? - would be something he’d excel at. anything to do with raw strength honestly. try him.
