The question just asked of him did ring within head. The corners of the SAVIOR’S lips were pointed downward towards the chin. Sadness clearly painted within his blue eyes. 

Why must everyone assume he enjoyed the killing, the death. He took no particular joy in it. He merely did what had to be done. What no one else had the strength to do. He was actually amazed he could find it in himself to do it. It was difficult at first to find it once idea had popped into the mind ever so long ago back on Titan when they had population problems. ‘Any and all suggestions are welcomed.’ his father said to the council. He himself was a quiet one at the time, and could hardly get the suggestion out past lips at first. However, when he finally did so, all, of course, were shocked and outright denied it. He continued speaking though and the more he did so, the more confident he sounded in the idea, and he found himself even believing it. That this...horrible, wretched, cruel idea, was the way to go. 

‘We don’t have to choose father! Let the people of Titan choose for themselves! They can sacrifice themselves, and if we can’t get enough, we can bomb a location at random and late fate decide!’

‘That’s enough Thanos! I’ll hear no more of it. Go home.’

Why, why didn’t he listen to him then? If he did, oh if he did Titan may have had a chance to become greater than it ever was. It may not have been the ideal way, but it was the only way.

‘are you happy with the outcome?‘

He had only one response to the woman’s question. A fitting one at that.

“How would you feel, if you yourself had to carry such a terrible burden?“

He had summoned her here. Summoned her upon peaceful and quite farmland. So easy was it to use gauntlet to bring her hear. Just as easy as snapping away half of all life in the universe. No task was difficult for him while using the gauntlet. Did he like to use it though? NO. He himself actually hated that he had to use it. It was a weapon that he used to kill, and to gain said weapon he had to kill many lives. He never wanted to kill, but it was what had to be done to ensure the future of the universe. If such a thing had to be done again, oh how he would. However, he did hope ever so that he never would.

He brought the girl here though because of one of those he had to kill to gain one of the Infinity Stones. His daughter Gamora. He had heard the rumors that this girl was able to pull a soul out of the stone, and thus, he wanted her to do same. Save Gamora. Save the only person he truly cared about. Save the person who had to pay the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the universe.

“I have no doubt I need not explain why you’re here.“

She almost hadn’t come. The grief she felt was heavy and unrelenting and though she might want to run she can’t – he’ll find her and she has seen the length he will go to get what he wants. There will be no more death, not in her name. “This isn’t my home,” she says, voice soft, resigned. She doesn’t have the energy to fight this. “This dream you’ve created doesn’t belong to me.” 

The air here feels stale as she breathes it in. It’s not the crisp, fresh oxygen of her own world. It makes me lungs feel weak, or perhaps the lethargy she feels is from exhaustion.

Footsteps to take him towards the other. The girl who so bravely tried to fight him back on theAsgardian Refugee Ship to protect those she cared about, but of course she did end up failing like all those who fought the Titan before. It was a noble attempt though, perhaps even nobler than The Jotun’s attempt to save his adopted brother. Not a question he was to ponder right at moment. It didn’t need an answer. Blue eyes to look down towards belly of the women, before returning upward to meet hers.

Oh how he would take in air through the nostrils as last rays of the day’s sun did hit the skin of the Titan. Such a feeling would never get old. It was a feeling he had been chasing for ever so long. A feeling of hope, a feeling of comfort, a feeling of peace. 

Air to release now through the nostrils now as head did turn to look upon projected organic form of the legendary relic. Blue eyes taking note of tears streaming down the face. Such a complicated and fascinating being she was, just like the rest of her ‘siblings.’ But the Space Stone..the Tesseract..Tess..she was particularly interesting to the outcasted Titan. He felt somewhat of a personal connection with her. A friendship of sorts. Well, who else could he turn to when all family had abandoned him, had to be sacrificed for the greater good, or killed in battle. One ends up forming connections where they can.

“You are home. This is our reward for our hard work. Minimal, yet satisfying.“

Oh how the Titan did rise from his relaxed sitting position upon new home. But only the smallest of smiles to grace his face when he saw the other walk up green grass of his farmland. She came, there was little doubt that she would, but still there was always CHANCE that she wouldn’t. That she would run farther away from him, such as putting universes between them. Silence, letting the land sing its nature song for a moment before finally speaking to the other.

Blue eyes did look down upon his beloved queen. She truly thinks it’s that simple? Oh how he wishes it was. It would make life ever so much easier on him. To not carry such a burden on his shoulders. The burden of saving the universe from itself. He couldn’t let what happened to Titan to happen to the rest of the universe, and if it meant bringing DEATH to prevent DEATH, so be it.

“You know I can’t do that.“
