RAISING FUNDS FOR NEW AC UNIT.
After a ton of troubleshooting [including an ac insulation kit to fully seal off the window] it's time to accept that my portable AC unit's broken. The compressor is the likely issue. There's no HVAC service in my area that repairs these units, and they're recommending I buy a new one.
This is the unit I need to purchase for $399.99. I know this is a HUGE ask but I really really need help to raise the funds to replace it. The temperature in my bedroom has been unbearable, upwards of 90â [32â] most days. I have multiple fans but during the hottest part of the day, they're just blowing hot air. I have lupus and my dog has a heart murmur; both of us are vulnerable to heat sickness/heat stroke from being in that much heat.
