This is an rp blog for BUFFY SUMMERS of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame. I am HEAVILY CANON DIVERGENT because, well 1. I’m a grownup and I do what I want 2. there are so many interesting and wonder buffys out there many of which are much more on script than I aim to be soI feel that since they’ve got her in safe hands why not go off the trail ? I was also inspired by simply wanting to explore the Buffy we see in Bargaining P2 since I THOUGHT that was gonna be what Season 6 was about and WAS ROBBED. and once you’ve done THAT massive a change, why not more ?
While I follow largely show canon since most ignore the comics I HAVE MADE HEAVY EDITS TO SHOW CANON AND EXPECT THEM RESPECTED. Failure to do so and just treating her like another standard canon Buffy will result in me just dead ass ignoring you. I didn’t slave over a hot stove to make a whole alt history here just to have it thrown in the trash by others who didn’t wanna respect me.

The whole “slayers don’t kill humans” thing
Yeah we’re gonna give that a big ole shove out the window thing. I’m sorry but like…. Clem’s life does not have inherently less value than like, Knox’s just because Knox is a human and Clem’s not. It’s fucking bullshit and makes no fucking sense. When it comes to humans naturally slayers don’t just run around killing them but if Ethan’s eviler cousin wanted to sacrifice a baby then the Slayer is in the green to gut him. So Faith’s killing of the Deputy Mayor ? Still a Big Issue. But stabbing Lindsey would be totally cool. ( This is ofc not getting into the psychological effects of taking a human life I’m just saying that the nonsensical dogma of the show is not present here )

SO in various places by various people when it comes to you know… “How strong is Buffy/the Slayer?” Various creators attached to the franchise have said “about as strong as Spider-man”. Now, I know what that sounds like to the untrained ear, that she’s something like captain America on steroids and some very sick stat buffs but to me, someone who’s read 2 whole comics this is in-fucking-sane and I’m running with it GLEEFULLY.

Giles dies in the crucimentium trying to make up for the drugging and help buffy.
Conflicted because of his recent betrayal but overall simply devastated Buffy falls into a deep depression over his loss.
the bangel break up is very mutual and kinda critical since they’re both just using each other as emotional crutches by the end and need to separate to heal and grow.
the Faith situation is ofc Somehow Even Messier.
S4:
Spike has the ring of amara for longer, it’s Not Fun. Still gets chipped tho.
it takes longer for Buffy and Riley to get together, she sticks to her guns for longer and even when dating she’s less invested a la season 5. It also ends quicker.
Walsh is alive until the end but still gets offed by Adam coming into the finale.
S5:
most of the changes are tonal. Generally more comfortable with killing Ben. Even more concerned about turning to stone etc. etc.
S6:
the BIG ONE. I won’t list a lot bc i feel like they’re kinda self evident once you get thought the first. basically BUFFY IS FERAL FOR MUCH LONGER. Like that half feral - half catatonic state from bargaining p2 / afterlife ? That but for longer.
