(f2f) - Kitty & Leah
prydeofthexmen:
The touch was welcoming and having her hair brushed from her face reminded her strongly of times she’d be curled up and Storm would have come to check on her. It was soothing, a familiar gesture that she associated with something positive and it was rare for Kitty to think positive these days.
“Limbo never ends well for the X-Men,” she grumbled, her muscles visibly relaxing as Leah negated some of the pain Kitty was experiencing. And to top it all off, now they had Magneto in the school too, though Kitty had put him in the holding cells.
“Would have asked you but you have a little one to look after,” Kitty murmured, tilting her head slightly so she was able to look up at Leah through half-closed eyelids. “Yeah, we got her…Just don’t know the extent of the damage done to her yet…”
She felt a pang of guilt - something that the goddess was wholly unaccustomed to. Not that she’d never felt guilt or regret or similarly useless and shameful emotions, but it had been far too long and it honestly caught her by surprise. Still, her friend, mortal as she may be, lay here, broken and Hela could have protected her and for that, she felt guilt.
“I see that,” Leah answered, none too pleased as she gently continued stroking Kitty’s forehead, each brush of fingertips tenderly easing away the aches and pains. “Please, the next time you take on such an endeavor, ask. I am capable of far more than you know. One day soon, when you are recovered and well, I will show you.” And she meant it. It was a mistake, of course, to show the Midgardian the truth behind her mask. It would likely only lead to trouble and mistrust. Still, at that moment, Leah fully intended to show Kitty the true extent of her powers which would mean taking her to Helheim where such a display would not attract attention. Perhaps she’d come to her senses before then.
“I may be able to help her,” she offered. “I know much of that is more of Emma’s territory than mine, but I believe there is some I could do to help her.” Of course, that was because Illyana was a fellow Hell Lord and Hela had been through similar trials in her early days at the beginning of time.
Anything as universal as death must be a blessing.

(f2f) - Kitty & Leah
prydeofthexmen:
Kitty had only been back for an hour tops and after making sure Illyana was comfortable, she had retreated to her room in order to tend to her own injuries. She didn’t want to sit in the infirmary, even though she had no qualms with hospitals. All she really wanted was her bed and it wasn’t until she looked at her phone that she realised they’d been gone for a month. God, the time differences in Limbo really did fuck with a person but she’d worry about that later. For the time being, she just wanted to lie down.
So, she did.
She collapsed onto her bed, her uniform torn and bloodied as she tried to get comfortable. Her injured arm was draped over her stomach as it was the only position she could find where the pain wasn’t excruciating. Usually, when she heard a knock on the door, she’d have gotten up and answered it but she had no energy left and so she just let out a quiet groan.
“Come in,” she called, not even bothering to move from the position she’d adopted.
Taking the invitation, Leah opened the door gently and peered in. “Kitty?” she called in as she stepped through the doorway, closing the door just as gently behind her. Quietly, the goddess made her way to the bedside where she found her friend. Without actually putting any weight upon the bed, Leah sat on the edge beside Kitty and offered a sad smile.
“I see the rumors of the dangers of your mission were not exaggerated,” she spoke in hushed tones. A feather light touch with a hand both warm and healing, Leah gently brushed the hair back from Kitty’s eyes. She wouldn’t heal her all at once, as most Midgardians found such a feat unsettling, the goddess did ofter some small relief to the sharp pains that spread throughout Kitty’s body.
“I wish you had asked me along. It pains me to see you so injured,” she continued, her voice still barely more than a whisper. “Were you at least successful?”
(f2f) - Kitty & Leah
Hela knew the instant everyone was back from Limbo. Of course she knew. She had felt their multiple presences return to the land of the living. Part of her, the part that was Leah and whom considered Kitty Pryde to be one of her best friends, wanted to will herself to the spot where they had returned but she waited. It was clear that they’d all suffered dearly for their journey through Limbo and though they’d returned with Illyana in tow, they would all need rest and time to heal.
And so, the goddess of the dead waited, patiently as ever, until Kitty returned to her room and was finally alone, before willing herself to the door. Certainly, she could have skipped the door entirely but such things were considered rude in Midgard. Instead, Leah knocked gently on Kitty’s door and hoped her friend would grant her a moment’s time before collapsing for the evening.

Fenris & Hela - Jay Anacleto
We are lightning straying from the thunder; miracles of ancient wonder - Wade & Leah
notninjaspiderman:
Wade grinned broadly at her when she said that they could stay awhile. “Alright, lead the way!”
Leah was hardly a people pleaser; Hela certainly took care of her own, but to simply go out of her way to make someone else’s day was far from her normal behavior. And yet, that grin on Wade’s face left her feeling warm in a way she didn’t want to think too hard upon. Instead, the goddess took his hand and led the way through the midday crowds of people toward the restaurant in question. “Do you like sushi? I mean, it’s better here than anything you can get in the states, but still, same concept,” she asked, her fingers laced in his.

notninjaspiderman:
“Yeah? I’ve always wanted to travel…to places.” He smiled, “That must be fun. I mean…do you get a lot of traffic to travel back to the city or something?” He looked around again. “Are we hanging out here or…do you gotta go back?”
“There is so much to see in this world,” the goddess responded sincerely, forgetting herself for a moment. She’d rarely concerned herself with other realms, besides Asgard, well, Valhalla specifically. However, this life as Leah had given her the chance to see much through very different eyes and she couldn’t help but be allured by what Midgard had to offer. “There are some who go back regularly, for instance, the medical students. Some go back to visit family or even for jobs. I try to be as accommodating as possible, make it as easy for students to stay with Unity as possible.” Her smile spread and she added, “I have plenty of time if you’d like to spend some time here. I know of a lovely sushi place not far from here.”

notninjaspiderman:
Wade blinked, his head felt like it was spinning. Good thing she had her hand on his back or he might have fallen. When he had his head on straight he looked around them and noticed the location shift. “Wow, must make traveling easy.”
Leah gave Wade a moment to get his bearings, all the while an eager grin teasing her lips. “That it does,” she answered, once he’d finally responded. “And I do so love to travel.” Of course, she hadn’t spent nearly as much time traveling lately, especially now that she was with child, but it was still one of her favorite things to do. “For students going back to the city, I am often the escort because I can do so with such ease.”

notninjaspiderman:
“Awesome, I love gentle,” Wade said and gently took her hand and true to form it didn’t hurt at all. It was pretty warm actually, though that could just be her hand. “Not that I can’t handle rough. Rough is fine I just….er, y’know…”
Leah took his hand with amusement. Whereas some professors would find such talk from a student completely inappropriate, the goddess only found it amusing. Pulling his hand to her, she let her power envelope the pair of them and in an instant, they were standing in downtown Tokyo. She moved her other hand around to the small of Wade’s back as support, in case the transition left him dizzy or unsettled. “Gentle enough?”

notninjaspiderman:
Wade nodded, keeping quiet because repeating how cool all this was, was probably annoying. But seriously, his mind was blown. “Okay,” he said. “So I can touch it? You’re hand I mean.”
Laughing again, Leah nodded and held her hand out with a bit more insistence. “Go on, take it. I promise to be gentle.”
in chaos we dance, in chaos you die
power-of-yggdrasil:
Out of all of the people that Loki had predicted might join him (and there had not been many; for all that the beings within this school proclaimed hatred of the many headed snake, very few of them actually seemed willing to dive into battle alongside him), the one who eventually did had been rather low down on the list. He was glad to have been proven wrong however, so glad that the sensation almost felt like it would burst from his chest, as green eyes switched away from his victims writhing in painful death throes on the ground, towards the form who had come.
“Hela,” he purred, a welcoming sound as he extended one hand towards her. He would not give her the name Leah, just as he would not give Sigyn the name she kept insisting was hers. The God of Lies he may have been, but he was not going to lie for them. Loki only had the tendency to lie for his own gain, after all.
Or for some entertainment during a particularly long spell of boredom, but who cared about that.
“There are plenty to go around. You do know the tale of the multi-headed snake, I assume?” It was a delightful tale; cut one head off, two more would spring free… which made it the perfect creature for sport. Although… Loki had never truly been fond of such sports as those. They had been more suited to his brother, the hunting and fighting for so called glory in realms far beyond this… but he could pretend. When anger rushed through his veins, pretending was remarkably easy indeed.
The smile that curled his lips up from the dangerous smirk that had been in place was not entirely planned. She had not been expected, but she was welcome. He had not truly spent time with his daughter since she had broken down in his arms on father’s day. Since he had first noticed she was here. He had wanted to, but the situation between them – now that he was actually aware there was any situation at all – was awkward. Spending mortal hours in one another’s company struggling for things to say was not something he could give time to, not when Thor was now here, or when Sigyn was still being annoying obtuse and refusing to remember him.
Spending mortal hours bringing pain that was entirely deserved upon those being so rude to be in this building. Of course it was deserved, they were near her, near his little Hela, with their weapons that could strike him down – admittedly only because of the bonds he could feel even now tightening around the magic within his form – and that was not something that sat well with him at all.
It did not matter that she, like all of his children, was more than capable of taking care of herself. Loki was not going to let anything happen to one of his now that he actually had the ability to stop it. Being unable to help them before, before when they suffered at the hands of his father, made doing such a thing impossible to grasp.
Maybe that was why he stepped between her and the blast that suddenly flared through the air, from one of the mortal’s little guns.
It was a strange thing for him to have done; easier to beat it back or make it no longer there then let it strike, but Loki had evidently not been thinking clearly. All he had seen, from the corner of his vivid green gaze as he had watched his daughter with something beyond fondness, was the movement from the corner of his eye. Movement in the form of a shifting mortal, a lifting weapon, and then a blast of blue that flared through the air towards her with a ripping sound that seemed to tear all ability to hear away from him.
Though it was possible that sound was stolen from him when his back hit the wall; the force of the blast sending him with a heavy crunch into the nearby plaster. A heavy crunch and a winded gasp and then he slumped down in a shower of rubble, flickers of green fading from where they had been only moments before dancing about his finger-tips.
How he loathed this irritating little mortals and their guns.
At the sound of her true name past his lips, Hela gave Loki a playful chiding look. She’d bring it up later, should he insist on such a name around the Midgardians but for now, when the only ones in earshot were about to die at their hands, she could permit it. Besides, it was nice to hear him speak her name fondly as opposed to him saying Leah with disdain.
“That I have,” she answered, striking down another green suited soldier. “But surely for the likes of us, even with its many heads, these creatures hardly stand a chance.” And that was all she would give the agents of Hydra credit as: creatures to be slaughtered. Even for Midgardians, they were particularly low, lacking in any of the merit that might save a few of those she’d grown fond of in her time here. She sensed no power in them and from what she knew of their organization, they lacked in the sort of mental faculties and independence that might make up for their physical lackings.
They were nothing but vermin and their deaths would be savored.
Not nearly so much, however, as the goddess savored that smile. When Loki smiled at her like that, a mixture of fondness and pride and protectiveness, it was easy to forget - at least temporarily - the anger and abandonment. She knew it would come back, but for the moment, Hela wanted nothing more than to dance by his side, bringing death together.
It never would have occurred to Hela that these mortal things could truly harm Loki. Sure, she knew Odin had put some strictures on his powers when Loki had been banished here, but even knowing that, she could not have imagined what happened next. That Loki would step between her and that blast, that the blast would send him crashing into a wall, that his light would fade from fingertips as the debris fell down upon his winded form...
The word she screamed next was not in a language anyone else on campus - excepting Loki and Thor - would have recognized, but the sentiment clear enough. Though she rarely thought of him as her father and even rarer refered to him as such sincerely, in that moment, that was the word to escape her lips. Her eyes went black and death radiated from her form, striking down every Hydra soldier within sight and then some as she appeared instantly at his side. Now the grounds around them were littered with dozens of corpses but all that mattered was the harm than had befallen her father.
Tears streamed down her face as Hela willed away every speck of plaster and rubble away from Loki’s body. She cradled his head in her lap and pleaded with him, slipping back to his given name. “Loki, why you fool?!” she scolded through the tears. “They cannot harm me! What has Odin done to leave you so vulnerable to such mortal weapons?“

A Lady’s Guide to Love and Murder (x)
we fly, we fall // Sierra & Leah
cxnstancy:
Since the attack, it had been sleepless night after sleepless night and the nights Sierra did sleep, she was plagued by nightmares. At first, they were of HYDRA agents but soon after they morphed back into the same old nightmares of battlefields and Vikings. These nightmares had been with her since she’d met Loki and each night they got progressively worse, making her wake up in a cold sweat. Tonight was just the same, she woke up in a cold sweat, gasping for air and her limbs tangled in the thin sheet she slept beneath.
Her back aches and she didn’t know why. It was excruciating. At first, she thought she’d just slept funny but then she recalled her nightmare, vivid as if it were a memory. She’d had wings, she’d been soaring above a battlefield, soaked in blood and collecting the souls of the dead that were deemed worthy of Valhalla. She leapt from her bed and rushed outside, trying to avoid waking her roommate with cries of agony. Her hand clasped over her mouth, she stumbled through the corridor until she reached the elevator and then took it down to the ground floor, only to crash out through the main door. She ran as she far as she could before before she crashes to her hands and knees, letting out a cry of agony.
Slowly but surely, the wings she’d dreamt of began to sprout from her back, white feathers ruffling as her nails dug into the patch of grass she’d fallen onto. She had no idea what was happening or why and in her confusion, tears began to fall down her cheeks.
Since her arrival on campus “Sierra” was one of those individuals that Hela always kept close watch over. Of course, she could easily justify this in that “Sierra” was so obviously Sigyn - bound by some sort of Odin’s magic, but Asgardian all the same. That alone would be reason enough for her to have the goddess’s interest. As Leah, of course, the girl’s magical potential was excuse enough alone as well. She needed no other reason to want to possess the girl’s soul. Deeper than all that, however, was the fact that Sigyn was dear to Loki. She took up much of his time and attention and, even if Loki didn’t oft admit it, the god’s affection as well. Although Hela would not admit it, that was her driving purpose in taking such a distinct interest in Sigyn.
So, when Sierra woke with a start, storming out of the building with tears and cries, Hela was, of course, listening. A wicked grin curved the goddess’s lips as she spied on the scene, undetectable from the shadows. She enjoyed the moment, those cries of pain music to her ears, each tear a delight to the goddess, even more so because it had not been of her own doing - certainly, she would like to be responsible for the suffering of those whom she despised but knowing it hadn’t been at her own hand was a sweetness all in itself for it was nothing any could hold against her, least of all Loki.
Finally, however, she schooled her expression to one of concern and shock and materialized only a few sparse feet from where Sigyn had fallen. Leah fell to her knees, hands on wither of the girl’s shoulders and insisted, “I came as soon as I heard! Please, let me help.” Of course, it was as much as offer as an imperative because, with rare exception, Leah asked before using her magic on others, but she hardly expected Sierra to refuse her offer.
We are lightning straying from the thunder; miracles of ancient wonder - Wade & Leah
notninjaspiderman:
Wade nodded, “Oh yeah, definitely.” He took a good look at Leah disguised as himself. He wasn’t sure if anyone– besides twins maybe– got to see themselves like he was seeing himself right now. It was pretty sweet. “You make it sound like you learned to walk.”
Another flash of light and Leah was standing in front of him as herself once again. His eye widen once more as she extended out her glowing hand. “Is it hot?”
“Actually, that is very much what it was like. I mastered both skills at approximately the same time in my life,” Leah answered plainly, even if it might’ve sounded like bragging. She knew that most would take it as such but for her, sharing her magic was more of a joy than any sort of pride. After so long alone with only her life as proof of her skill, it was nice to be able to show off for those who could appreciate it.
Another peal of laughter escaped at his question and the goddess shook her head. “Not at all and it won’t hurt, I promise.”
