James ( mostly called "COOK" ) was born in 1992 in an Irish port city — a place rife with poverty, rough sailors, and improvised music. His father was a drunkard, his mother a silent shadow in the house. Thus, he learned as a child that closeness and love are not something to be taken for granted. Anger became his shield, loneliness his constant companion. In his mid-twenties, an argument in an alley escalated: a knife in his stomach nearly killed him. The world, which had never spared him, seemed to have finally turned its back on him. But then a stranger appeared, an ancient vampire who offered him immortality. Hurt, angry, and alone, he accepted the offer. Since then, he has carried the strength of an ancient being, but his heart remains human, wild, and untamed.
