Personal..

Because we are from all over the place..anybody in the Boston, MA area or familiar with it know of any hotels close to Boston and Mansfield, MA? I’m going with a friend in August to a concert and we are looking to stay a few days..I’ve been to Boston before but never stayed other than a day trip..

@bellaparker8 If you are going to the Xfinity Center that is not really near Boston and getting to a concert there from Boston isn’t the most fun ride. There is a Holiday Inn, Red Roof Inn and Courtyard very close by. You are also near Foxboro (Gillette Stadium) and there are a few hotels right near the Patriots stadium that are really nice. Anywhere around Mansfield/Foxboro/Easton/Attleboro etc should be fine! It’s easier to grab the train into Boston from University Park in Westwood. I actually think they just built a hotel near there... that actually would be the perfect spot! I’d think that first. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Bolero: When Skating Met Ballet

“Bolero” was an epic Russian TV competition show that paired male figure skating champions with prominent ballerinas. Every week the couples performed dance routines based on an assigned theme (kind of like Dancing with the Stars meets Battle of the Blades). 

Here are some of the most memorable routines:

1. Peter Tchernyshev and Irina Perren - Je Suis Malade

2. Maxim Staviski and Evgenia Obraztsova - Tango of the Assassins

3. Alexei Yagudin and Kristina Kretova - La Haine

4. Maxim Marinin and Natalia Somova - Tango Diferente (Fun fact: these two are a married couple!)

5. Roman Kostomarov and Natalia Osipova - Las Simples Cosas

‘Dancing with the Stars’ is suddenly watchable again

For many seasons, “Dancing with the Stars” was the most unabashedly campy and sneakily athletic competition on TV — which usually made it more fun than “American Idol,” “Top Chef” or “The Amazing R…

This has greatly leveled the field, especially since perennial top pro Derek Hough — who somehow never lands one of the sub-talented stars — is sitting out the season, along with hot-headed egomaniac Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

I just looked it up. Lowest season premire ratings ever. Last night got the highest ratings of the season so far.

Good Morning Mary! I looked at some video from Lake Placid on 12/31/15 and noticed the back of Fedor and his Mother sitting in the front row on the ice. Fedor was taking photos with his professional camera (not his phone) while Charlie and Meryl were doing their Dog Days routine. His Mother Marina was watching the routine very closely. This tells me Fedor was with Meryl on her birthday before they all flew home to MI for some R&R. They are very much together and enjoying their life.

Anon several bloggers were at Lake Placid and I don’t recall them seeing Fedor. I think you saw the official photographer. However I will put this out there @debbi77 was Fedor next to Marina?I think they are still together though.

Fedor was not there, and neither was Marina. I was there the whole time people were coming and going in the back and I know the people that drove the skaters to and from the airport/to the buses.
