My husband James painted this from our travels in Italy. The painting is titled Pedoni en Fiorenze (Pedestrians in Florence), acrylic, collage and oil on linen, 24 x 36 inches (61 x 91 cm) 2019. James wrote that new painting continues my exploration of people walking, this time set in Florence Italy. Walking across the Ponte S.Trinita, locals coming home from work, tourists from every corner of the earth and a group of Chinese photographers in between shooting a wedding couple for a fashion magazine all burnished by the late evening sun. My wife, Debbie is in the picture too, black coat and red scarf. It was cold then and the “bride” put on a coat in between takes. I observe the edit the pedestrians in my own way. Not seen are the cars and motorbikes that zoomed past. It’s a study of motion, pattern, shadows and golden light. www.jamesgriffinstudio.com.#florenceitaly #museumsandgalleries #artlover100k https://www.instagram.com/p/BzWCWpDBr3l/?igshid=1shzg0eok09un
