I didn’t like the prequels or TLJ. If you don’t like something there’s no point ranking it. It’s all just ‘no won’t watch again’ for me. It’s like ranking Would I rather have a headache or stomach pain.

By that logic, you might as well not even be mentioning anything whatsoever about the products. To not actually care about the actual quality of a product and just throwing it away under “all bad, don’t care”, you just give up an real form of critiques to any work. You wouldnt pull that if a product was good but had flaws, so don’t pull that on products with different quality.

What’s wrong with Episode 6? Why did revising the prequels come up? Why wouldn’t improving a film’s quality improve its quality? Why did the other person start talking about rankings? How is critiquing only good art equivalent to giving up any real form of critique to any work?

1. Episode 6 has some very wonky acts that really drag the quality down. It’s entertainingly silly, but like TDKR, it’s not a good movie. 2. The revisionist history of the Prequels is the go to argument for all Star Wars fanboys. Usually it’s “it’s not as bad” or “they don’t count” are what is used. 3. The problem comes from the use of the so called “improvements” would devolve Into Reboots, fan Theories or scripts written like Wookipedia articles. I have yet to see hardcore Star Wars fanboys not devolve into this 4. Because it’s part of that revisionist history of “the prequels don’t count” side 5. I’m talking about how people tend to give up on saying “thing is bad, so I won’t critique it to ask what could be improved on”. Most people who find flaws in good movies tend to go into detail about said flaws, but it’s never the other way around.
