Lesbian is a word for people that identify as women, woman-aligned, or girl proximal, so if you don’t identify as any of those things, you shouldn’t use the word lesbian. We have lists of other sexual orientation labels here that you can use to describe your attraction.

I am automatically suspicious of anyone that identifies as "transmasculine." Why that label? I thought a central focus of the trans movement was separating masculinity from manhood and femininity from womanhood. So are transmasculine people transitioning to "masculine"? What does that say about your perspective on the validity of people who transition genders?

How can you be nonbinary and not be trans? Being trans means you identify as a a gender other than the gender you were assigned at birth... Not trying to be rude, I'm just confused!

i don’t identify as trans because i don’t.

trans means you identify as a gender different than your agab, but that doesn’t mean you have to identify as trans. it could because you feel like your gender is still close to your agab, or for any other reason.

you can identify as a gender that differs from your agab and not identify as trans.

I don't really care that Tumblr is banning porn. There are plenty of sites to find porn. But what I am frustrated by is that this will drastically reduce the resources trans people have. I've enjoyed finding amateur trans porn here, because it's pretty rare elsewhere. Besides that, medical info such as post-op bottom surgery photos are difficult to find, and Tumblr makes them more accessable. So by banning all porn, Tumblr is also making it 10x more difficult for trans people to find accurate, diverse, abundant, and comprehensive trans resources.

I started having occasional moments of doubt the last few days before surgery. With my other surgeries (my hysto/oopho and mastectomy, within just 7 months of each other), I remember being totally calm, collected, and sure of myself, right up to when the anesthesia started, but this time there was fear: fear of regret, fear of complications, fear of pain. I asked myself if it was worth the debt, worth the exhaustion, worth how much it’d hurt… and it 100% has been.

This is tough as hell to get through, but it’s totally worth it. All of it is to get to this point. Even with things still all bandaged up, I look down and there’s joy and relief at seeing my Coban-wrapped dick, at the bulge from my hospital-issue gauze underwear, at feeling my newly-reconfigured junk swinging between my legs when I walk. Holy shit, I wouldn’t trade this for the world.

I've been thinking about lower surgery lately. Metoidioplasty specifically, because I don't like the idea of having tissue grafted from another location. The only phallo procedure I'd possibly go for is abdominal, but you don't get much sensation then, and UL is less common. STP is important to me. I definitely have concerns about the physical trauma, outcomes (especially size and aesthetic), and complications. Luckily there is a surgeon in my area who accepts the insurance I have, so cost is less of a concern. The recovery period is what is most limiting.

But, I'm aware that I become obsessed with these ideas, so much so that it clouds my judgement. I change my mind frequently. This is something I will have to think for a long time about. But I do see myself moving in the future towards 100% male anatomy.
