O-o
Why did he even enter the haunted house with Kuroo? The answer is unknown, but what he does know is that watching his team captainâs reaction is very entertaining. He wonât laugh out loud, though, so heâll just keep on walking inside the building while stifling his laughter. Forgive him.
O-o
The fact that he played horror games that had the same layout as the haunted house he was in right now helped him stay sane and calm through out his stay. He felt like he would be scared of the Karasuno studentâs reaction to the house rather than the things in it.

Piece of Cake || Kuroo and Kenma
"Me? That one, black forest cakeâŠ" He looked down to his smaller teammate, grinning. "You can choose one and I can pay. Iâm feeling generous." Truth is, Kuroo knew Kenma was likely broke again due to videgames, and he wanted the company. As unlikely as it was, the small setter was the one Kuroo trusted with his secrets the most â funny thing is, it didnât even bother he probably didnât know as much about Kenma, he learned to trust the otherâs quiet judgements.
His brain.
"But I feel like getting tea as well⊠you know coffee never cuts it for me, and I get jumpy like Boâ." Kuroo said, tapping the glass at the small promo that was written in chalk besides the cakes, about a combo of cake plus coffee or tea for a reduced price. Kuroo grinned at the letters then hummed at Kenma. "Câmon, letâs get a table in.. or do you want it for take away? We can eat at my place too if you want⊠itâs empty as always." He offered, knowing his father was likely still working till late on his lab.
Mother was still in her own town. Sheâd been there a while now.
"So, Kenma? Which cake?"
Kenma focused his eyes on the slice of apple pie behind the glass and glanced at his friend. "If you have enough money, I'd like to get that one." He gestured towards the pie, even though he knew that Kuroo would have probably known what he had wanted before they even entered the shop.
He looked around the shop to see if it had tables that weren't taken. Going to Kuroo's house would be too much of a hassle, their cake wouldn't be as fresh if they were to do that. It would even be worse if they were to buy tea. "I'd rather stay here," he murmured, looking at the empty table on the corner of the shape.
He was used to going to Kuroo's house ever since he was little, so he can't say that he was uncomfortable with staying over at his house. Hopefully Kuroo knew that he disagreed because of the cake. Kenma nudged his friend and pointed towards the table. "Can we sit there?"
Boop!
Who poked him this time? He slowly looked to who poked him and felt slightly confused at the sight of Karasunoâs libero. Was Shouyou here then? He scanned his surroundings and saw no signs of the decoy which made him slightly sad, but he looked back to the libero with confusion visible in his face. âDâyou need something?â he half-asked half-muttered.
If the blonde cat said that he wasnât expecting someone else it didnât make sense continue insisting on it, the libero wouldnât make him uncomfortable and since he couldnât understand what was on the other mind it would be better not ask again the same thing. Then, Noya noticing the other looking at the floor.
âOh, did you notice? Those are new!" Said lively, smiling at the same time that moving one foot, referring to the shoes. "The old ones where pretty destroyed and I liked this for a long time⊠Donât you think theyâre great?â
Truth to be told, Kenma never really cared about what brand of shoes he wore just as long as they were comfortable and easy to put on. But the liberoâs shoes were interesting, the design was nice and it looked clean and unworn, even though the other was wearing them. He couldnât compare them to the old ones the crow wore, though. He never really payed attention.
He merely nodded at the libero. âWere they expensive?â he said, focusing on the shoes. No, he wasnât planning on buying the shoes in the near future. Not yet. It wouldnât be such a surprise if it was expensive. At that thought, Kenma compared his own shoes to the otherâs shoes. Maybe he should look for a new pair. âŠHis own shoes were looking pretty pathetic in front of the new shoes.
"Why haven't we had sex yet?"
âBecause the stars say noâ

boop!
'Ah itâs KuroâŠâ he thought when he looked over to where the poking came from. Kenma stared at his friend while anxiously fiddling with his fingers. What was Kuroo thinking about? Hopefully it wasnât anything mean about him. Kenma looked down on the ground to avoid feeling uncomfortable. âWhat is it?â
"Really?" Kuroo raised his eyebrows high, but then relaxed a bit, yawning. He settled down next to the other and ran his hands over his hair, thinking a little before softly chuckling to himself. Kenma stopped missing practises due to games a long time ago, and Kuroo approved that⊠out of the whole team, he trusted his brain best and it was nice to see him working back. "Still, you should sleep⊠I canât be on class babying you all the time, but you keep yawning in practises and the coach might pull  you outâŠ" And shit, heâd hate that â still, Kuroo grinned, looking back at Kenma.
âI'm sure that the coach won't pull me out,â he quickly replied. Was he really yawning a lot during practices? He forced himself to sleep a little bit earlier during these past few weeks, did that not work? âThe team might suffer without me, so..â he murmured, trying not to sound like he's bragging. Kenma stifled a yawn and realized that⊠he stifled yawned. This was normal, of course it was, he wasn't tired, it was just a yawn. He glanced towards Kuroo and quietly wished that he didn't see that. He didn't want to hear his friend's scolding.

Piece of Cake || Kuroo and Kenma
It had been Kenmaâs idea to go out for some cake. Kuroo had suggested practicing for an upcoming tournament, but being the lazy person that he was, Kenma suggested to do something other than practicing. He knew that the tournament was important to his friend, but he would rather do that tomorrow or another day, or whenever he feels productive enough to practice.
This was also the reason to why he was standing in front a display case that had different baked goods inside them. He could easily smell the fresh, sweet smell coming from the desserts in the case. There were pies that were sprinkled with white sugar, donuts that were glazed carefully, cakes topped with the softest looking frosting that he has ever seenâ No, bad Kenma, you havenât even bought anything yet.
His eyes wandered over to the apple pie in the display case, looking down at the price while hoping that it wasnât expensive, he had to save some money to buy the new game that was coming out, 2 more weeks and he can pre-order it. He sighed when he saw at how much the pie costs. well, he could always borrow money from someone. âKuro, what are you going to buy?â he asked, finally acknowledging his teammate.
"NothingâŠ" Kuroo poked his friend again, before sitting next to Kenma and stretching himself lazily, a soft sigh escaping his lips at the small cracks his spine gave, bones clicking at the movement before he languidly settled down again, simply looking at his setter. "I heard there a new of those games you like, the rpg ones⊠but I donât want you missing practise because of that." Kuroo grinned, starting a conversation with his friend.
Kenma glanced at his teammate, getting a bit offended that he would think that he would miss practice because of a game. Although the thought seemed nice, he wouldn't ever miss practice. "Don't worry, I might've already finished the game before that," he murmured, thinking back on the times he pulled an all-nighter just to finish that one game. Well, he always pulled an all-nighter on every game, but he wouldn't tell Kuroo that.
Nekomaâs setter looked distracted so Noya feel like poking him but then, that guy looked disappointed and like if he was searching someone. âHey, why are you looking me like that? Iâm not a ghost, come on.âÂ
He remembered that he saw once Hinata talking to that guy but Nekomaâs setter seemed like the kind of guy who didnât talk so much, unlike Hinata. âYou were expecting someone else?â
"Not really," he replied. He wasn't expecting anyone at all. He was only looking for Shouyou because he thought that he might have been there with the libero. Unfortunately, Shouyou wasn't there, but he had to keep his disappointment inside or he would feel rude. Â
Hopefully he didn't sound rude either. It would be bad if he gained an enemy from another team, he probably wouldn't play during games if he had an enemy watching him. He glanced at the libero and looked down at the floor quickly, finding his shoes interesting.
Achoo! Looks like someone was talking about him again.
Send me a !!! and my muse will pay your muse a compliment.
