Olivia didn’t hear anything which was odd - she didn’t even hear Moxie. Her eyebrow kinked up as she locked the front door, moving towards the coat closet, moving the strap of her purse off of her shoulder. She moved her hand to the door knob, her eyes flickering up to the post it note that was on the door. She let a smile come across her face as she opened the door, putting her purse down on the ground and shrugging her jacket off shortly after to hang it up.
She shut the closet door after she hung up her jacket and moved her fingers towards the post it note, peeling it off of the door. She chuckled and turned her body towards the dining room. “Ah, clues.” She mused as she moved through the hallway. “You aren’t going to pop out and scare me, right? I believe if you did that the little girl would pop out of me.” She joked as she walked through the archway that lead to the dining room.
Her eyes landed on the dining room table, her lips parted as she walked closer to the table. She didn’t have words at the moment, he always found a way to sweep her off her feet. She glided her tongue along her lips as she walked over to the table, putting the note down on it. She moved her fingers out towards the rose, sliding her fingertips along the soft petals. “It’s beautiful,” she said quietly, turning her head around to see if he was anywhere near the table. “Is this a game of hide and seek too?” She chuckled.
Declan had given Moxie to Cosmo for the night, worried she’d get too exciting and knock down some of the things he’d set up. He had to resist the urge to look through the glass back door to try and see where she was, but he didn’t want her to see him too soon so he just waited and tried to time out in his head where she might be. If she stopped to eat a chocolate strawberry, which he thought was likely, then in a few minutes she’d see the trail of rose petals leading her to the bedroom.
The bedroom door was shut with another note stuck to it that said, Surprise number 2 on the dresser, because I don’t need a holiday or birthday to spoil my girls.
There were candles lit inside the bedroom, and the trail of petals led her to the dresser where there was another vase, this time with one red rose and one pink rosebud, to symbolize their baby girl. Next to the vase was a flat black jewlery box, inside was a necklace of the baby’s March birthstone. Another sticky note was stuck under the box that read, Better hope princess isn’t late...Put on a sweater and come out back.
Between the bedroom and the back door of the kitchen was another trail of petals, and the final post it was stuck on the glass door that said simply. I love you.

It was nice that her mother wanted to have dinner with her, Olivia was more than sure that her mother was going to side with her father on the whole situation but when she had gotten to the restaurant, her mother hit her with questions and seemed genuinely interested in what was going to happen with the new little family that Olivia was starting to build but the young DuPont couldn’t help but wonder if it was all an act.
She pulled up in the driveway and put her car into park. She reached over to the passenger side and picked up her purse, using her other hand to open the door. She got out of the car and shut it, using her keys to lock it shortly after. She walked up to the door the front door and moved her key towards the doorknob, her eye catching the sticky note that was in the middle of the door.
Welcome home, come on in.
She used her free hand to grab the note, peeling it off the door with a smile on her face. God, she loved coming home to him. She finished unlocking the door and she pushed it open. “Babe?” She called out, taking a step inside and shutting the door behind her.

Declan had been putting off his plan until Olivia had been out of the house, and he’d been thinking about taking a day off work next week to set everything up but the dinner with her mother had been the perfect opportunity. He and Cosmo skipped their usual football outing to get everything ready, Declan hand writing a ton of Post Its that he stuck around the house for her to find, while Cosmo helped with the surprise in the back yard.
He made his friend leave once Liv texted that she was on her way, as much as Cosmo wanted to stay and watch. Declan was nervous enough without an audience, the ring box pretty much burning a hole in his pocket as he waited. He was in the backyard waiting for her to find her way there through his little clues, dressed in his normal clothes--a pair of jeans (without holes for once) and a button up plaid shirt, the sleeves rolled up. He’d considered dressing up in a suit or something, but then decided that wasn’t his style.
He heard her pull into the driveway and knew she’d be inside soon, though the Post It note on the door didn’t give anything away just yet. On the door to the coat closet, where she’d go next to put her coat and purse away, Declan had put the next note.
Surprise for you on the dining room table.
On the table, he’d put one red rose in a slim vase, and a box of chocolate covered strawberries.
Morpheus:
Morpheus:Do you daydream often? Of what?
“Not often. But sometimes when I’m on the couch with Liv, feeling our baby move and kick, I’ll think about the kind of person she’ll be.”
Thor, Tree
Thor:Would you consider yourself pretty powerful?
“No, unless you give me a soccer ball to kick at your head.”
Tree:What have you done with your life? What are you going to do with it?
“A year ago, I thought I had peaked, that my career in the MLS ending meant I’d never achieve anything greater. But now I have a job being a good influence in kids’ lives who need it. And with my own kid on the way, all I can ask for is that I can provide her with a happy, safe, and loving home. I want to raise her right. That’s the best thing I could ever achieve in my life.”
