Sound, Scores and Structures Choreographic Lab

The blog documents a choreographic laboratory at NN Gallery, Northampton from Wednesday 28th-Saturday 31st January 2015. Working with dancers from Playgrounds Dance Company and the University of Northampton, I conducted R&D for a new work in response to composer Nikos Stavropoulos’ multi-loud speaker stereo reduction piece, Epitaxy, exploring aural and visual scoring. The residency included a public scratch performance of 'Epitaxy 1' at 5pm on 31st January followed by a Q&A session between myself and Playgrounds Dance Company Artistic Director Matthew Gough.
