@decrease-worldsuck
I saw how many people liked my last one, and I was very pleased. Nerdfighter art re-posted my last, letâs see if itâll happen again.
I found this note in one of the copies of The Fault in our Stars at Barnes and Noble and decided to share it~
Hank Green on what he is most afraid of. 2010. (x)
WE WERE IN CLASS AND WORKING ON A PROJECT AND WE WERE JUST MESSING AROUND WITH DIFFERENT OPTIONS ON POWERPOINT AND WE FOUND CLOUDS AND this happenedâŠ.. Moggie weâre screwedâŠ.
I want to decrease world suck as my career. What "traditional" career path should I follow to have the best effect? It doesn't matter if its helping individuals or the masses. I just want the suck levels to decrease.
You know, I don't believe there's one specific career path you have to follow to decrease worldsuck.
I'm sure obvious occupations like those of doctors or police officers or firefighters or social workers or therapists or teachers and the like would immediately come to mind in terms of helping people as part of the job description, but I think you could decrease worldsuck with any job as long as you do it well.Â
Gas station attendants help decrease my worldsuck when they remind me to give them my Kroger card so that I can save 3 cents a gallon.
Retail workers help decrease my worldsuck when they go hunt for an item because the one I picked didn't have a price tag on it and when they don't find an item like the one I picked, they bring me the cheapest similar one they can find so they can scan it and let me have the one I wanted.Â
Custodians decrease my worldsuck when they're willing to switch the cleaning products they use to sanitize my part of the desk because I'm allergic to their usual cleaning products.Â
None of these people have to do any of those things. The gas station attendant shouldn't care or bother themselves with whether I save money on my gas or not. Retail workers don't have to give me a cheaply priced item when the one I wanted didn't have a price tag; they could have grabbed any random item and not care how much it cost. Custodians don't have to change their cleaning methods to fit my health needs.Â
But in doing their jobs in such a way as to be considerate of other people, they help to decrease my worldsuck levels and perhaps the worldsuck levels of other people as well.
I hesitate to make a recommendation for a career path without knowing a little bit more about your interests and life goals, but I truly think that you can decrease worldsuck regardless of your career path as long as you make that your goal.Â

If you're a content creator (writer, artist, vlogger, etc.) and think your work could benefit from this new system, head over to Subbable's application page.Â

Is everyone super stoked about the announcement of LoK: Book 2? This is my art tribute to what Iâm assuming will be an awesome continuation of the series. Also, I just remade my website entirely (including new stores), so check it out! :D
Alright so I hadnât seen the Vlogbrotherâs video where John encounters the fearless squirrel and I thought that was going to be the funniest part of the video but no.
THIS was the best part:

Help Wanted
Hello fellow Nerds! Do you believe you have what it takes to work for The Anglerfish? Are you a grammar nazi with no outlet to control!? Well, you are in luck! The Anglerfish is currently looking for a talented individual to help edit the News Stories written for the magazine. If you believe you are that person send us an email at [email protected] with a short description of your background. Best Wishes! XD
So, remember that exciting thing I was bursting at the seams to tell you guys about a few days ago
Well, DFTBA signed Wil Wheaton!
You might remember Wil as the kid who played Gordie in the film Stand By Me. Or maybe from the half a decade he spent playing Wesley on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Or maybe from his multiple guest appearances on The Big Bang Theory, or CSI, or Family Guy, or Criminal Minds, or Eureka. Or maybe from the web series The Guild, or TableTop. So many things!
Anyway, weâre opening Wilâs store on DFTBA with six new merch items⊠a few posters, a t-shirt, and a few necklaces.
All the new items rock.
I love working with awesome people.
Wil is such an amazing, intelligent, stand-up guyâŠIâm really proud to be working with him.Â
