Individual Concepts of Diversity
Hi Nerdfighteria!
I’m working on an informal thesis about the limited scope of the meaning behind ‘diversity’ in education settings, and by informal I mean I came up with this idea on Friday night while surfing tumblr. I want to expand this into a study of what communities (online and irl) have more advanced concepts of diversity than what is currently mainstream. The next step would be to see what we can learn from these communities and how those ideals can be applied to the college admission and the hiring processes.
