Does anyone know about makeup? I’m having problems with allergic reactions 2 eyeliner. I’ve tried a few different kinds along with different hypoallergenic versions with no positive result. Any suggestions?

Allergic reactions at work are always the best.

And by best I mean the worst because then I’m stuck in the bathroom for 30-45 minutes completely sick and everyone just thinks I’m slacking at my job when in reality I’m so physically ill I can’t move.

This happened to me but with school. My professor thought I was ditching a test. Nope, just in the hospital getting IV benadryl after accidentally ingesting soy. Just another day... haha!

I guess tumblr is a good place to ask for help. I need black eyeliner for cosplay and ballet, but lately I’ve been allergic to every drug store one I try! My eyelids get really puffy and orange, and once the inflammation goes down, the skin gets dry. I’ve never tried a more expensive brand before,...

Have you tried Almay yet? They are “hypoallergenic” but I am also allergic to them and every other drug store brand. Right now, Lancome Kohl pencil does not give me a severe reaction (you can get it at department stores!). If you want something 100% foolproof, try Red Apple Lipstick products. They are great for people with allergies, but require you to order them online. They are also not quite as potent. Sometimes I will use RAL eyeliner and put Lancome on top of it so it acts as a barrier. What we do for beauty!!

Unexpected Allergic Reaction

To my student’s perfume. I tutor Organic Chem part time and my student tonight had a very strong perfume on. It gave me a mini asthma attack and made my lips swell. Typical.

Here’s my first Tumblr post. I’m not sure what I want this to be. Maybe a place to share allergy stories and tips with people? Facebook isn’t the best place for that. Hopefully I can find some fellow bubble kids or med students on here!
