It’s finally time! Here is Gemanimate 2 in all its glory! A total of 164 animators across the globe have come together to reanimate Steven Universe’s The Answer. Everyone who has contributed shots has donated their time and skills to pay tribute to the best animated series out there, Steven Universe.

I’m so thankful for the the extreme amount of support that’s been shown by all of you guys through this whole project. It’s been a lot of work behind the scenes from me (Katie Elle) and our extremely talented animators and we couldn’t have done it without you all. Check it out on Twitter too.

Pearls are a servant caste, described by Peridot as being “someone’s shiny toy.” They are expected only to serve and be submissive and obedient, simply waiting on their owners and not acting independently in any way. Pearls typically fulfill tasks such as holding their owners’ belongings and serving as footmen, opening doors for their masters; they are expected to consistently exhibit subservience by remaining silent unless spoken to and remaining a few paces behind their superior when walking with them.

At first I was a little bothered by how unevenly split the Diamond’s ships are with Pink having an entire lower half, white having a torso and head, while Blue and Yellow just have arms. But thinking on it I think it’s actually a clever way of showing different types of thinking.
