Prophet ﷺ advised those going through great stress and difficulty to make the following du'a:

اللَّهُمَّ رَحْمَتَكَ أَرْجُو فَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ، وَأَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

“Ya Allah, it is Your Mercy I hope for. Don’t leave me to my own devices for even the blink of an eye. Rectify all my affairs. There is no God but You.”

Can I make dua even if I'm not praying? Like if I am sitting there and I want to make dua to Allah swt for something, can I just make it? And do I need to read durood before/after it or is there a certain way I need to make the dua? JazakAllah Khair if you answer

You can make dua at any time without wudu' , But you have to choose the virtuous times, such as between the adhaan and iqaamah and after the obligatory prayers , In the last third of the night

it’s never too late to start again. 5pm on a thursday can be your new monday. you don’t have to wait until the new year to better yourself. time is an illusion, don’t forget that. just because you woke up at 1pm, it doesn’t mean you messed your whole day up and that you can’t turn the mood around. it’s never too late to start again!!!!!
