You absolutely cannot understand how HAPPY I am to hear this news: Mark Lee, probably THE MOST overworked and overexploited idol in history of Kpop opened his Own Label !

After 10 years of insane schedules and no rest time, he now owns his own label and can release his music on his OWN terms! I couldn’t be more happy and proud! SM never deserved him anyway (always taking advantage of his hardworking and dedicated soul)!

I hope I will not see anyone calling him s*lfish or anything stupid!

The fact that people entitled a** forced TEN to come forward and as politely as he could be ask to trust him on the process is just incredibly embarrassing. This type of thing shouldn’t even happen:

THAT fandom needs to learn the definition of PLAGIARISM !

Little education never did hurt anyone, so let’s learn together what Plagiarism is all about:

So basically for ANYTHING to pass on as „plagiarism” there needs to be various similarities: from lyrics, melody, overall concept, MV etc. - and then RE-Naming is under different name and selling as „yours”.

That being said NOTHING that BTS fandom accused Taeyong or NCT in the past few days comes even CLOSE to plagiarism.

TAEYONG:

First of all it’s good to mention that Taeyong used sailing as an ALBUM concept, when BTS used it in one song! Plus, Taeyong got inspired by Himself being a part of Navy, while serving military! - and preparing an album (therefore planning a concept, day for photoshoots and recordings, hiring people, making songs etc.) takes time. It absolutely CANNOT be done in just 1 month. So even here those accusations are just laughable, as Taeyong had most likely everything planned and recorded by the time BTS released their single.

The thing with plagiarism is also that it needs to involve something ORIGINAL, something NEVER DONE BEFORE. In BTS/Taeyong case that concept was done multiple times by various artists -nothing revolutionary:

You can’t accuse someone of copying your favs, if your favs themselves got inspired by other artists who already recycled that concept multiple times and it’s NOTHING NEW!

Moving on:

NCT 127

I’m just gonna leave this here:

Cannot put more photos, but there was also NCT Dream 2023 + not to mention that NCT 127 jackets were on an Album cover. So it was always NCT thing.

And NCT WISH? I don’t even wanna comment on that, because according to that type of logic BTS copied Taio Cruz with Dynamite. You cannot own a song title, especially if it’s something so simple and commonly used. And music industry is filled with songs with Same titles but different execution (like BTS and NCT WISH songs)

CONTROVERSIAL BUT: Assuming an Idol is straight is just as bad as assuming he is not!

There’s this weird logic going around that if idol doesn’t say anything about their sexuality, then that means they’re straight. And that we shouldn’t assume he is anything else, cause if he didn’t say he is not straight, then he is straight.

This type of logic is not logical to me at all tbh. One doesn’t change their sexuality only when they speak up and we shouldn’t just assume someone is interested only in the opposite gender just because they didn’t share anything about their own preferences - this way of thinking already led to terrible situations in which an artist was FORCED to come out, simply because the majority of people assumed their sexuality and accused them of queerbaiting (f.e Kit Connor or Harry Styles).

Also I fear there is way too much stereotypes going around about all the sexual orientations that we forget that humans personalities and their traits are not connected to who we fancy. And I know what I will now say must be very controversial, but I feel that majority of Kpop community watch WAY TOO MANY BL’s and surrounds themselves with heteronormative stereotypes that are forced on non-straight people and their relationships. And because of that they have very stereotypical judgment on idols.

I also don’t think that idol f.e saying they’re like women (unless they specify they are not interested in opposite gender like f.e Chenle) is an immediate proof that they’re straight. Bisexuality is still a thing and we shouldn’t speak on their own preferences, before them (especially that doing that can lead to situations like above).

And to end this litte rant: „Defending” your idol heterosexuality, when they never confirmed being that is very very weird move.

To TEN fans: those „jokes” are not funny at all!

I’m sorry, but I am just so tired of posts like this:

Simmilar thing happened when TEN left SM and many people decided to „joke” about how he can finally participate in Thai BL series and basically start his career as BL actor.

And It’s mindblowing how those „jokes” come from Ten’s own fanbase most of the time.

I don’t think you guys understand how disrespectful you actually are by constantly reducing Ten to sexuality that he never openly admitted to be!

And look: If Ten is actually gay or bi, then great! Cause to me personally it doesn’t change absolutely ANYTHING! I’m first and foremost here for his music and craft, not for who he fancy.

But you guys just love to reduce Ten to your own SPECULATIONS. So much that you will get angry when a girl appears in his MV or he collaborates with a female idol. The fact that one of your first reactions when you saw news of Ten not renewing his contract was to somehow connects it to „Ten can now make BL series and be fully himself” is just so disappointing - and what is even more is the fact that you guys do not realize how MUCH you reduce Ten to idea of his sexuality and how you don’t see him as a SERIOUS artist at all.

Ten is a singer and an artist, before anything. And even if he’s actually part of LGBTQ community, then those „jokes” are even MORE disrespectful - cause BL community is not as supportive as you guys think it is and for most of the time they heavily fetishize homosexual relationships to please certain audience …

Idols don’t owe you anything

Just because you are a fan doesn’t mean you can have access to their private life.

Just because you are a fan doesn’t mean you need to see their every interactions.

Just because you are a fan … cause you are just this… A FAN.

Just because they do not interact publicly doesn’t mean they do not interact at all.

Just because they do not show support publicly doesn’t mean they don’t show support their members at all - they can just do that in private.

You have no right to make such assumptions, just because YOU did not SEE! You have no right to question their bond/friendship, just because you didn’t see something.

They do not owe you an insight of their everyday life and their relationships! Even If it’s with other members - at the end of the day most of their actual life takes place outside of cameras and they have every right to interact with each other on their own terms (+ many idols are super private too f.e Yuta)

Being from conservative country =/= 0 LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 people in it

I wish people could stop this narrative that just because you’re from a country that forbids gay marriage and still has quite conservative views on LGBT community, then that means that there can’t be any people that are attracted to the same gender.

As if sexuality is a choice.

I’m speaking as a person who lives in a country that still didn’t legalized same-sex marriage and what I can tell you is that it does have 0 impact on the number of non-straight people or their decision regarding their relationships (f.e being open about them or not).

I’m talking about this, because some people online still have this type of mindset and it’s very ignorant:

Honestly couldn’t care less about idols sexuality, but this take is just stupid. If you genuinely believe that LGBTQ community only exist in countries that openly support it, then you are deeply wrong.

Just because they are not open (if they are not straight) with their sexuality, doesn’t mean they are STRAIGHT. No idol/artist owes you anything regarding their own private life and you cannot force someone to come out, just because you want to know - and if they do not come out you will just see their every word, gesture or action as „queerbaiting”.

Respectfully BTS fans: please stfu about Mark and his departure from NCT

Please, let’s not do this now:

Even if there were perhaps few people (although I didn’t see any - probably just some annoying akgaes) who tried to take this situation as an opportunity to dr*g BTS, you should’ve know better than post something like this ! Cause it sounds extremely disrespectful to Mark’s decision and actual reason behind it + those are two completely different situations.

Not to mention that you allowed people in your comment section to 🗑️ talk NCT and Mark:

„Bts aren’t selfish” -> none of BTS members were ever as overworked as Mark has been for the past 10 years. None of BTS members had as tight schedule as Mark, to the point where one of their dream begin to be „getting proper sleep”.

You can’t compare those two situations, because even groups itself are not comparable.

BTS are 1 group

NCT is a SYSTEM. It’s one big group that doesn’t work together for most of the time and is built on smaller groups (units) inside of it - and Mark has been a part of two units since the very beginning + has been thrown to basically every non-fixed units called NCT U, when full group comebacks have been happening. So he had thrice as much work to do than all BTS members combined (respectfully to them and their hard work they put into their group ofc, but it’s not comparable).

Question : Do you ARMIES GENUINELY believe that BTS are the only group in the entire kpop that grew so close with each other that they became like a family?

Because … no, they are not !

I know it’s hard for you to believe this, because you do not follow any other groups beside BTS (and that’s alright, you don’t have to), but there are groups in Kpop that are just as close as BTS.

I would even argue that NCT 127 probably have one of the tightest bonds in the entire Kpop, because even their family members hangout with each other 😭 (even when the member who is a relative is not present at the meeting) or how they’re basically always together - but that is just my own observation and opinion.

Again… They do not seem close TO YOU! Because you do not follow them.

So, why you speaking on their bond and closeness?

⬆️ Meanwhile this is what people who worked with NCT had to say about their friendship, that is „special” and „RARE”.

And please for the Love of GOD stop using Mark departure as a gotcha moment to drag groups that ain’t your favs. Because please believe me that none of BTS members would s*rvive living on schedule that Mark has been living on for the past ten years. None of them would be able to handle being in two fixed groups and third non-fixed ones that comeback every now and then + being thrown under random Super group. And add to that tours (NCT Dream tour, NCT 127 tour, NCT NATION, SM town, SUPERM tour), dance practices, studio recordings, vocal trainings, creating/writing songs for the albums, festivals, fan meetings, fan calls, interviews, music shows, promo, MV shootings (for multiple groups) etc etc. — just way too much for one person to handle.

BTS members ain’t leaving, because they have one group with one schedule to take care of and thanks to that it’s easier for them to manage their own solo stuff (therefore grow artistically) + they get proper rest in between.

Mark is leaving, because he had multiple groups and schedules to take care of. It has nothing to do with him „being or not being close to his members”, but the simple fact that if he would stay with NCT his departure wouldn’t make any sense, as he would still be jumping between groups overworked as hell and wouldn’t have any time to rest (not to mention a time for his own solo projects).

Think about it logically and have some heart FOR ONCE : if Any ANY of BTS members would be put into Mark shoes THEY. WOULD. LEAVE. TOO! Because they would choose their own health and dreams over a company that doesn’t let them rest.

And believe me. You would be happy as f*ck to hear the news of their departure, because at the end of the day all that matters is their well-being and health.

Mark Lee aka Kpop Sunshine is leaving NCT and SM

This morning whole Kpop has been hit with very surprising news : Mark Lee. The face of the whole NCT leaving not only the company, but the group itself.

As much as devastated I am, I’m also happy that after 10 whole years Mark decided to stop and for the first time: think about himself.

He poured his whole soul into this group. Working non stop since his teenage days in almost every possible unit that NCT has created. His schedule was so tight, that it became a running joke for people even outside of NCT fandom that „Mark Lee is debuting in another group”.

We shouldn’t be sad, because he’s leaving. If anything: we should be sad that he was put through so much stress, work and pressure all those years, that at the age of 26 he just burned out. We all loved him in 127 and Dream, waiting for his next comeback in one of the two units. But for Mark itself managing two groups at once has been extremely exhausting experience. (no matter how much he loved and cherished the members of each unit).

That’s why I hope you’re understanding of Mark’s decision to leave the group. I know it’s sudden, cause usually, when idols decide to not renew their contract, they still remain a member of their group and participate in any upcoming activities. But that is because they have ONE group to take care of, not TWO (+ every side quest like: whole group cb). If Mark would want to remain a member of NCT, like any other idol that leaves their company, he would have to make a tough decision of : which Unit I would like to stay in? - while leaving one behind.

But that would be just too cruel for Mark and for the fans, who would feel that Mark „betrayed” the group/ that he prefers one unit over the other.

That’s why I believe he made the most logical decision : to leave NCT.

This is also I think a good time to say that please be prepared that in near feature a SIMMILAR scenario might happen with another member who alongside Mark has been part of two units since his teenage days : Haechan. And please (if it happens) understand that the reason behind it - as Doyoung said - is not the conflicts between the members. They are fully supportive of Mark’s decision and will be fully supportive if any other member will too… decide to leave.

If you don’t know what MISOGYNY is — please don’t speak on it

Exaggerating things and taking words out of context just to create situation in which you can portray someone as „misogynistic” is taking away the actual problem with Misogyny and making women seem „dramatic” (in times when actual misogyny is presented).

Some women Needs to take a few steps back and realize that not every situation makes them a victim and a man - their attacker. And I AM a Woman myself, but I am so tired of this exaggerated victim mentality.

Taeyong speaking about his own body doesn’t even connect to being misogynistic EVEN IF the body types model were women (that ain’t even something he had control over).

Question for AKGAES: Why do you hate other members of the group your fav is in?

Cause honestly I just don’t get it.

I understand the love and adoration you have for your idol, but does it always have to look this way that you basically force these „victim” narratives on your fav and make people around them their „h*ters”? This is especially common with group members - most recent example : Katseye Daniela/Manon situation.

Are you guys actually THAT lonely in your life ? Cause I don’t think you even realize how deep parasocial bond you formed with a person you never personally met with.
