Kyo finger tattoos.

So I couldn’t help but notice that Kyo had new tattoos on his fingers (if you’re following him on Kyo-online you might have noticed that as well). I’m very interested in occult sciences, mythologies and so on, and those new tattoos specifically caught my eyes as they were runes. Runes are an old Germanic alphabet that can be used for magic and/or divination. I specifically recognized the runes Mannaz, Laguz and Hagalaz and i thought this was pretty interesting to see him with these.

Mannaz is a rune of modesty, of the recognition of humanity as a part of a whole (nature, the divine etc), of altruism (which fits quite well with his palm tattoo SAVE), a remembrance that we each have a role to play and that if there must be competition, it always has to be with ourselves, not others.

Laguz is mostly related to the water element and to our feminine side: intuition, inspiration, healing etc. It’s pretty much a rune about artistic sensibilities, about the capacity of giving birth through creation, about the need to get in touch with the deepness of our emotions and also the need to purify ourselves from the past, even if it means taking the risk to drown in our emotional waves.

Hagalaz is probably my favorite rune, but a pretty harsh one. It’s about learning through pain and difficulties, about having to let things behind you if you want to move on to a new cycle, to never ever stay in your comfort zone if you want to evolve. It tells how routines and habits are toxic, to get prepared to lose everything you’re used to because it will make you stronger. Hagalaz has a strong vibe of winning our own freedom through harships.

I also noticed he had another rune-related tattoo but i could not recognize it (i’m only used to the Elder Futhark and you can also create your own runes with personnal meanings), so there’s no more i can say about it.

I’m not sure this is going to interest some people around here and i’m not sure to what extent Kyo put some thoughts about getting those tattooed but anyway, i still wanted to share this.

hello there! sorry for the inactivity recently. been a little busy and have been slowly drifting away from the fandom (nothing to do with the band, i still adore them hehe) but i’d like to at least be a little more active here since i miss making gifs and haven’t even gotten the chances to sit down and watch LUXURIA 😭
