Greek Mythology~?I’m not entirely an expert, but I do enjoy reading a lot of the tales! I’m mostly a fan of Hermes, Hades and Apollo. I mean, where else can a baby make a musical instrument, drive a herd of cattle backwards, and a threaten an old man a few days or so after birth? In Greek Mythos, that’s where!

In the sprawling golden dawn of Lilycove City, all is quiet. The only sounds are from waking Pokemon, a few late-night business closing shop, and the occasional roar of the ocean waves.

Archie sighs, staring off into the glittering reflection of the sea. He leans heavily over the railing of his ship, and crosses an ankle over the other. Without his crew milling about, he was able to have a few moments’ peace to let his mind wander. His Mightyena nudged his nose under his hand, and Archie lightly obliged a few scritches under the hound’s chin.

“Y’know, Teach, lots a’people say that life’s supposed t’be all sink or swim, or survival a’th’fittest.”

The pirate sinks down onto the deck of the ship, and lets his legs dangle over the side under the lowest rail. He absently scratches his Mightyena’s ears, and Teach leans into him, thumping his thick tail. Overhead, the sun finally emerges behind thick clouds, and Archie’s crew begin stirring below deck.

“Sometimes, ya gotta think that lots a’people just....stay afloat, or cling to somethin’ just t’survive, y’know? It’s not always ‘bout bein’ strong, in’nit? Sometimes it’s ‘bout bein’ patient, and waitin’ for yer time to rise. Jus’ like th’mornin’ sun, huh?”
