Taking notes again of a modern au scene I thought I had written but I can't find

U: we've been so productive today I'm starting to feel quite tired… C: yes we did so many dungeon runs! Thanks again for carrying me 🥺👉👈💖(important emojis uwu) * oh! But it also must be the hour looks like it's almost midnight!* U: damn it tomorrow I'll have to help my parents at their store I should go to sleep asap C: * your parents have a store? Cool! What do they sell?* U: ceramics, they also have a lab with a kiln so most of the stuff that they sell is made by them, lately I'm helping them to so some on field experience for a master C:oh I see! You don't sound too excited tho U: yeah I can't wait to be done with this…but enough about me~ are you not going to sleep? What are your plans for tomorrow? ( In a slightly flirty tone) C:(giggles) I also have to go to work, I'm currently working at a music store…not many clients lately tho… U: no way! C: uh? U: my twin brother also works at a music store in the capital city! C:* your…twin? You never told me your brother was your twin from how you talk about him I thought it was your younger brother* U: well technically just of a few minutes but he is! Bonus? Some days day at the music store, Will comes to deliver lunch to Ed as their mom left him some leftovers, Kai hides behind the shelves staring intensely at Will and Raven notices him

R: wow someone is looking suspicious today K: (with a low voice volume) goddammit raven I didn't hear you arrive- R: ( imitating his volume) why are we whispering?? And what are you look- uh? That's just Will and Ed what about them?! K: you've known them for a long while right? R: yeah why? K: say do you know…if per chance… Will plays videogames? R: that's so random! But no haven't seen him with a console in hand ever since I was maybe what 11!? Why? K:* sighs* can you keep a secret? R: ok yes sure you have my attention spill the tea! K: so where to begin…I met this guy in a game online- ( starts telling the story omitting his fake identity bit) R: NO WAY! Ed and will turn around to see what's going on looking at the two badly hidden people with perplexed looks E: what the hell are you two doing?! K:(tries to improvise) nothin! We… We just found a rare CD under the shelves! I wonder for how long it's been there uh?! Ed shrugs and gets back to his twin while Kai quickly turns to raven K: can't you keep you voice down?! R: sorry sorry! But damn it really sounds like him- there's too many coincidences… Also I didn't know you played that game too! We should play together sometime, you could join the same guild as me and Ed and we could carry you around( they have lower level than kai's alt aka pravaal)! And I have to advise you to watch a vtuber that plays the game, she's fish themed you'd like her! K: uh- yeah yah sure ( distracted looking at Will leaving) R: you know he's gonna think you're a creepy guy if you keep staring K: pretty sure he already thinks that…

On Vel's 16th birthday:

Vel has wanted to look for more sirens like her since she was a tiny little chick, her fish dad would tell her about the legend from the kingdom of sea as a bedtime story and Rere'e, her chicken father's advisor, would occasionally tell her about their findings after digging through old records. She would often ask her parents to go look for them but they were too busy with the construction and management of the state-city and she was way too small so they agreed that she could go after her 16th birthday, and boy if she was looking forward to it even tho Uri'el seeing that she was growing up happy and sorrounded by people who cared for her would give up the idea as he feared for her safety...

Follows some notes in the usual dialogue format, as usual I'm not a writer and these are just guidelines

Day of Vel's bday, night time after the formal celebrations with some close family members and some friends ( children of human and avii delegates and of members of the celeres order) Vel is left alone with her parents

V: it sure has been a long day phew! But I can't wait for tomorrow I'm so ready to leave for my journey!

U: u-uh?! What journey!? Did I miss something where are you going?

V: papa ( she calls him father in public but papa in private) did you forget? I'm 16 now so I can leave to look for the other sirens at last! You promised I could go

U: i- yes I did but , I... I thought you were happy here?

V: I'm not leaving forever! I'll find them and come back, easy!

U: Vel, little chick, maybe you should reconsider? We don't have enough information, we- we aren't even sure if they exist at all- what if you waste your life away like this? It's it's dangerous! Who are you even going with?!

V: oh, by the flux papa! Stop stressing! I'll be fine and I will totally find them even on my own

U: you're going alone!?!?

V: yeah sure why not? I'm old enough to travel on my own , Glauco's son travels all the time and he's my age

U: Glauco's son is human it's different!

V: what's so different?! Dad tell him something! Didnt you like leave your home at what 14!? If you did it I can too!

P: no your father's right this time-

V: what!? Not you too!

P:listen, I always advocated for your independence, if it wasn't for me you'd be in a glass bell right now but you can't go alone it's too dangerous for you, you're special and you know it, when I left no one cared about me I had nothing to lose and made a lot of debatable decision, I've been lucky to get to where I got safely ,you instead-

V: yeah I know I know cause I'm the only known verified occurrence of a real siren and I'm the daughter of a priest governor, I hear this every time I leave for the town, I know how to be alert and take precautions

P: Vel, the Kingdom of Sea Is not the same as this city, this is a little utopia in comparison, especially compared to the surface, you don't want to find yourself alone with a crew of pirates or a shady gang from the depths

U:by the flux I don't want to imagine it! Pravy( his nickname ever since vel was born, cause Uri felt val was too similar sounding) maybe you can assign her one of your men to keep her safe

V:oh nooo i don't want a babysitter!

P: most of the members of the celeres are avii or sky people still tied to the cult's beliefs...I'm afraid it wouldn't be of much help, you need an experienced guide

V: I see where this is going...

P: we can depart tomorrow as long as I come with you, I was missing my homeworld after all, I haven't swam in proper sea water in ages

V: didn't you hate that place?

P: I hate the coral fort not the whole kingdom! So that's a deal? Uri, i can ask taru to stay before she leaves the kingdom, she can take my place as your personal guard while I leave the celeres in Ka'arr's talons

U: I feel definitely way more comfortable knowing you'll go with her, I trust you'll keep our daughter safe

V:*sigh* oh well it's gonna be embarrassing to go with my dad but... Better than a babysitter.... So do we seriously leave tomorrow? Or were you messing with me?

P: if your father approves...

U: of course I do approve with these terms! *Sniffle* I'm going to miss you both so much *gets emotional and hugs them both* please bring a communication crystal ok??

V: ok! ok! Oh my ancients I can't believe I'm truly going to look for people like me! At long last!
