I’m Orleans, and I think Miscefolk culture is SO COOL. Our system has a special interest in Omegaverse and our whole system has lived by it to keep us sane and comfortable. It works so well for us processing trauma and blah blah. We find so much comfort in the Misce+ community! It's so lovely to find it's so system safe and such.
Anyway!
I’ll start with my intro.
I’m Orleans, an Omega who has a more Alpha presenting physique. Doe who looks like a Buck type schpeal. I’m twenty two and agender. Bodily our partners participate in misceverse with us! It’s nice.
I don’t mind anyone interacting with me, mostly because I know that the miscefolk community is so small I don’t really need to worry about maga boot licker people. So feel free to interact! Unless you’re pro endo or pro harm towards others pretty much. I don’t care if someone reads dark ship or anything, it’s not my place to judge why someone would read or intake dark FICTIONAL media. Real media of real people getting hurt or animals getting hurt is an absolute no.
This is also my half vent, and miscefolk account. My whole system is Misce+ so we try to really be proactive. This is mostly my (Alistair’s) account.
We're working on a website for the community! Even though it's just a carrd I know it'll help!
Anyone is accepted amongst us! We want all friends alike.
I hit a major depressive episode middle of two weeks ago and was unable to really get myself out of my nest to do just about anything except for draw really.
Which leads me into a hilarious thing: I’m making a western omegaverse comic. Haha.
But yeah the website will continue to be worked on this week because of the amazing support all three of my partner systems have given me. I love them all so much.
I have a lot of thoughts about scents in the omegaverse, but we'll start here. Specifically, with descriptions for scents in the omegaverse. Bc like a scent sweetening isn't indicative of heat by itself, but a cloying scent is, if that makes sense.
Sweetening; happens when you're in a good mood, or something particularly good is happening to you. You'll find it used a lot when people are getting scented by their packmates.
Souring; the opposite. A spoiled or rotten smell depending on scent. Someone with a coconut or milky smell might land more on the spoiled side, while someone with a woody or floral smell might end up on the rotten side.
Neutralizing; to go back to its blanket state, your scents base notes. Think when the Sims 4 says your Sim is "fine". Just neutral, often impersonal. What people smell like when their friend meets another friend in public and they don't have anything to add in conversation lol.
Heady; often associated with lust, specifically because heat and rut give off a very heady scent, but you'll find the same type of smell in a young alphas den for example. It's like leaving a candle going in a windowless room and when you come back a few hours later it's all you can smell.
Stale; the type of scent you'll find on old/unused nests, sealed nesting/baby blankets from childhood, old scent patches, sometimes on scent glands (especially children) if they haven't been groomed in a while. Not necessarily a bad smell, just old.
Warm; a distant antonym of neutralize. Pack dens will often smell warm. It's very personal, inviting. You'll often find pack omegas scents being described as warm, even if they have a minty or cool toned scent.
Bitter/acrid; anger or irritation. Something that makes you want to cover your nose, but it's not nausea inducing like a sour scent would be. At the most, it's annoying. This is the type of scent you'd find in a posturing match between two alphas.
But it wouldn't smell the same on everyone. Scents are like facial expressions imo. Like you can basically get the jist when you first meet someone (most of the time anyway, some people are hard to read) but if you want to get to really know what they mean, you need to actually befriend the person.
The earthy scent would smell, you guessed it, earthy. In a casual setting you'd be reminded of woods, forests, spring, etc.. but when it "sours" it'd be more like rotting wood, mold, must, sulfur, or allium. Bitter could also be allium, as well as fermentation, or cyanide.
The gourmand scent would be confectionery; candy stores, ice cream shops, bakeries, anything like that. Soured it would be like spoiled milk, spoiled chocolate, mold, yogurt, cheese, etc. bitter would be like molasses, burnt/dark chocolate, cacao, perhaps patchouli. Whatever suits their scent the most.
But in the same vein, patchouli could also be considered a warm note for the earthy scent, though they wouldn't be exactly the same. If you go smell two different perfumes that both have patchouli in it I guarantee you they won't smell exactly the same, despite having a few of the same notes. Scents don't just lose their base notes when they fluctuate.
Salutations all! I come bringing good updates and such.
The website is receiving a lot of love, which I am so appreciative of. I want this to get people excited in the community!
I have lots more work to do, and I unfortunately work 40+ hours a week. So expect more updates on the website's finality closer to next Wednesday.
For now, here is the WIP of the website!
I need to edit paragraphs, add graphics (if I am able to for carrd. I maxed out the elements at one point.)
Overall this has been a really rather wonderful experience with lots of fun to it. I need to compile links for credits/secondary(/And primary) sources of the community's start. I also need to compile resources for the Misce+ lifestyle. I know it looks choppy, but the links all work so that's all that matters to me. The vocabulary tag will be the longest thing in this whole set of links and such. Which, massive pain. But that's alright. The tedious work is always- well, tedious.
If there are people with open discord servers for the Misce+ community PLEASE reach out, I'd like to compile some servers that are semi-active and chatty. I might start my own as a compilation for this particular website, but, alas, I am terrible at making discord servers and moderating them.
This also might lead into some google slides admittedly for each sub-gender. This has become a much larger beast than I imagined, but the support has been ever great.
That's all! Stay tuned for the next installment of this website's updates!
If you're able to reblog or share to your other misce+ packmates/friends I'd be appreciative.
I just want to be able to get with a group of friends, have some land or a big house together. We could have pack parties and huddle in the living room letting the alphas den first and then having the omegas make a communal nest to relax in and catch up. like what is the harm (obviously there would be a lot of things that would have to be fixed but I just want to joy of being an omega in public without having to hide it so much fr) and the stores dedicated to nesting would be out of this world!! it would be a trip for close omega friends to do or maybe young alphas wanting to court asking for help and getting overwhelmed because they know how important it is AHHAHH the possibilities
Deer doekin/deer doe theriotype aesthetic I assign is:
Vintage comfort!
Why?
Deer are quick springy animals, just like how you’re quick to take pictures to keep memories of good times. Looking back on them fondly in your room with a good cup of tea.
Disclaimer!
This is all for pure fun and based off of my perception
The thought of having my own herd. My own people, who accept my system as is, who are sweet and loving, and kind. Who become my family. Who all live together. It’s a dream. It’s a dream to have a big herd/pack of people to call my own.
The thought of us working all together, living maybe in the same apartment complexes together. Being each other’s neighbors, and coming over often to each others places. Cuddling up together. Finding a safe space with each other.
Cooking together on off days. Rotating who goes to whose apartments or houses for the night. God- it would be even better for us all to be in the same neighborhood! Have actual gardening space together. Grow our own food together. Maybe some of us learn how to knit, and make our own nesting materials.
I know that all definitely borders on cultish. I just wish I had a community that lived with me. Or near me. I know the state I live in would be great for a lifestyle like that. Three to four people living together in a big house, and being each other’s neighbors. Being each other’s home. Being family together. Scents mingling together. Helping each other with heats and ruts.
Older alphas helping younger alphas court and acclimate. Older omegas guiding younger omegas on how to nest. Older betas teaching younger betas the importance of still being in a pack dynamic and why they’re so integral to the structure of their found families. Just finding peace in being a community. Leaning on each other. Watching families form together, watching packs form together.
Maybe even making our own celebrations! Having a summer festival all to ourselves, or celebrating each others cultures together with no shame, teaching our loved ones! It would just be lovely.
Finding peace within having a community and working through things. I just want peace. I just want to find love within my community. I’ve lived like this for years. I want to find my herd. It would be AMAZING to find other deer to have a herd with, but honestly I can’t be a chooser and a beggar. I just want people who I click with, who my system clicks with, to find friendship in. Companionship. Lifetime friends who will adore us and our partners as much as we adore them!
I’m just a tired doe. Tired of being alone and having to grow my own antlers.
— Casual scenting between pack mates / friends, even if you're not particularly close, letting the people in your life know you care about them.
— Vocalizations when you're amused, happy, or content around your loved ones while you're watching them play / hang out.
— Letting your friends stay close to you for protection or when you're having a conversation, and they're feeling a bit shy.
— Guiding others going through a hard time and letting them know they can always rely or come to you for support / help.
— Helping your pack / friends problem solve solutions.
— Taking the lead during a moment of crisis to keep your packmates calm and address a situation effectively.
— After a long day, being able to come home to your den and rest up for the day tomorrow. (Bonus points if your mate / partner makes the den feel more like home)
— Feeling proud you've found such an amazing pack, and wanting to protect them at all costs.
we're discovering the wonders of the misceverse, & it's truly fascinating how awesome this is.
I was like "OHHH SO THAT'S WHAT THAT THING IS CALLED" when we first investigated about it. All because that hierarchy system was already there even before knowing about the misceverse, EVEN when we found the omegaverse something not for us!
since knowing what the misceverse is, we've been making a carrd explaining our personal misceverse (the Magickverse ✨🌈) & we'll be posting it here soon! stay tuned :-)
