To me, that felt more like an excuse she gave to justify killing Hannah to the others, given that Shauna didn't actually want to be rescued. Her true reason for wanting Hannah dead is that she assumed she was the one who shot Melissa, and Shauna was out for blood.

Her bringing up Melissa getting shot is quite literally the first thing she said once they caught Hannah, then, after she saw the others were not on board with killing her, she made up an excuse. She then agreed to spare Hannah only after hearing about the first aid supplies.

(so much for the people who claims Shauna didn’t care about Melissa 🙄)
