Who else has natural hair? We definitely need to share tips.
Shea Butter fam! I use that as a moisturizer and I use it before I blow dry my hair. Its a heat protectant
Coconut oil, olive oil, and Jamaican black castor oil ultimate growth mixture. I could write a damn book full of combos and hacks!
Ok, i have coconut and olive oil but no Jamaican black castor oilâŚhow should you apply it to make your grow fast? I was bald almost two years ago, and now I have a full head of hair and it was just because i took care of it, I still do so now but I donât see much growth happening. Its kind of like my hair growth stops at a certain point.
I mix it with those two oils because it smells sooo bad to me and apply to your trouble area twice daily and youâll see a difference within two weeks
i only use coconut oil & argan oil because everything else iâve used is too heavy for my hair and it gets all greasy and nasty even if i use a little bit. but i do a hot oil treatment at least once a month and deep condition once every two weeks to keep my hair nice. and trim my hair when needed.
Omfg, thats my bad habit. I NEVER trip the ends of my hair which probably explains why my ends are always bad looking. đ Iâm scared to cut my own hair
What type of hair do yall have tho? I have 4C
I have 4B. Stop using towels to dry your hair. Use an old t-shirt or a micro-fiber towel to dry your hair
Omggg YASS ^^^ i forgot this. Never use towels. It can rip out the ends of your hair and some of natural oils, making your hair and scalp super dry. T-shirts will keep your curls and hair moisturized.
^^ I have a shirt drawer just for hair.
I have one special shirtđ
4C heređđ
Can anyone tell me your daily routine for 3c hair?
1. Put hair in 4 sections 2. Use Cantu conditioner and Head & Shoulders shampoo 3. I take out each section one by one, example -one of the front sections I take down -wet it, add shampoo, rinse, then saturate with my conditioner and put it back up into my section as a bun or ponytail 4. When Iâm finished with all four sections put a COTTON T SHIRT over your head to dry (squeeze if you need to) 5. I personally like to blow dry because its stretches out my hair and give me my BEST hairstyles (put it on medium) 6. But before blowdrying ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS put shea butter and an oil of your choice on your scalp and ends ( shea butter is a heat protectant) 7. After blow drying I always do twist outs because thats my specialty but of course you can always do your own style 8. When you go to bed that day, put your hair into two buns, one on top and the other on the back. It keeps your styles for a week max. Everytime you take it down put your favorite oil in your hair. It will look like you just did your hair when it was really a few days ago.
This is my routine for once a week. Number 8 is my daily. Anyone else want to share their method?
My edges are fucked, I need help
Black people, lets help her with her edges! I never had this problem. What do you suggest? If you wear braids all the time, you need to take a break, its pulling on your edges and ripping your hair out.
Peppermint oil and Jamaican black castor oil.. Rub it on the edges and take it reaaaal easy with them. They are ur baby! Massage them twice a day and watch them flourish đ
Black castor oil and water on the edges. Be careful of braids tightness, size and how long you keep the style up.
Okay so my hair is long, when stretched all the way out it reaches just above my butt. Iâve been natural for I think 5yrs. I havenât used heat (not fully against it just have really thick hair and too lazy to try and straighten all that) with that being said, the #1 thing I do other than keep things super simple is: I donât use a comb. Or brush. I finger detangle from root to tip in the shower while I co-wash then stretch with bantu knots while it dries to prevent tangles. Itâs gentler on the hair and I have tons of it, so it was hard at first but with practice it becomes quicker, and I no longer have to fuck with combs.
How did you get your hair that long!?? Omfg Iâm jealous. I donât like to brush or comb but i usually comb to detangle before I blow dry
Ever heard of water only washing. It a way to get all the natural oil from your scalp Down to the ends and then you wonât need any conditioner or anything Bc your hair is moisturized.. I must say so far itâs working!
Apple cider vinegar hair rinse. towel blot hair w/ a tshirt. moisturize w/ olive/coconut oil mixed with Shea butter
