Death to Your Old Self

I recently started working with Hades and he’s having me research herb work and death magic. By death magic I don’t mean casting death upon someone. Death magic is simply using the energy of death in spells.

For instance, I held a mini funeral for my Old Self and Old Beliefs to help me transform into a better version of myself. I wrote a little eulogy about my Old Self and I wrapped up an item from my childhood in a cloth and disposed of it in the trash (I would have buried it, but I am unable to do that so I did what I could). Before I “buried” the item from my childhood, I spoke the eulogy to myself out loud.

How you understand your dark side:

You are someone who is very resourceful, and someone who's very capable of achieving anything that you set your mind into. You know this, and people can attest to your abilities to make things happen. However, you can become so much of a high-achiever to the point where you won't hesitate to resorted to unethical and morally questionable methods, as long as no one is looking. You can become very cutthroat when you want to, and especially when you need to. You're not afraid to cut people down if you were being asked to choose between them and yourself. You probably won't even consider a middle ground to "save every one," or bargain for a better outcome in a situation, so that all parties can win or survive. Most likely, you would also ensure that you get the best of the best when it comes to the choices that life throws your way; and in effect, other people are left in your dust.

How people perceive it:

The way people can see this manifest is by the way you can talk down to them. You certainly have a way of interacting with others that can rub off the wrong way, but most people are afraid to speak up for the fear that you'll bring hell upon them. They can clearly feel your competitive nature, and they can see how you blatantly outmaneuver them in your internal game of chess. How you understand your dark side:

The immediate phrase that I heard when the cards were laid out was Victim Mentality. Your dark side stems from feelings of being marginalized and victimized by your circumstances or your upbringing. It could be that a parent was very harsh during your childhood, and that left you feeling like your inner child never had the chance to heal and experience what it feels like being a carefree person. It is because of this that pain is internalized deeply, and you have been suffering from the inside for far too long. It would be great if you had a physical outlet to channel your internal energy into something sensory. But I'm getting that most of you in this pile have chosen to solely keep the pain inside, instead of letting it out properly and healthily.

How people perceive it:

The people around you sense this great burden you carry within you, even behind your bright smiles and upturned eyes. And most people really have the heart and empathy to help you in any way they can. However, the can also see how you're not proactively trying to move on from the pain. You're still in your dwelling stage. You still dwell on your pain, and fully immerse yourself in your tragic memories. While there's no "one-size-fits-all" way to recover, you have to be aware enough that you can't carry your burden forever. Those same people who try to help you will eventually become exhausted in their attempts to aid you in your healing journey; and people are not meant to be our crutches. You have what it takes to recover from this burden as long as you let people in, and be receptive to healthy change.

There's a darkness lingering in your mind from time to time. Depending on the people who picked this pile, there will even be some who feel this darkness on a regular basis. And that is fear. You have this universal fear that's plaguing your mind and heart. While we all have different reasons as to when and why this fear came to be, this pile shares the fear of not being good enough. You're afraid that you will never reach your goals in life, your dreams and aspirations. You might also fear not being good enough for your friends and family who have high expectations of you. But most of all, you're afraid of disappointing yourself. You know within your heart that you are capable of great things... but you are so afraid to fail and feel the humiliation of not making it. But there are also those who want to take advantage of your hesitations and fear to their own advantage. What you need to do is to sniff them out before they even get the chance to see your fears, and immediately steer clear from them. You don't need people in your life who can leech off of your pain and darkness. You need people in your circle who can lift you beyond your apprehensions and doubts in order to help you become a better person, and to make you realize your capabilities. And lastly, you need to be able to soothe the fearful child within you. Be gentle with yourself, forgive yourself when you don't get your goals the first time around, and keep on persevering.

There's a lot of fire energy in this pile; you probably either have prominent fire placements, or that you consider yourself a fiery person. In this pile, it is indicated that you have a lot of goals in life, lots of things you want to accomplish, and you have an ambition that can be too overwhelming for small-minded people to wrap their heads around. Your dark side has something to do with impatience. Your spirit has the essence of haste, and of abrupt movement. As I'm writing this, I am actually getting breathless and my brows are getting knitted together. I can only imagine that this is how people around you feel when you get into your bouts of impatience and frustration. People feel your stress from a mile away. They can feel as weary and winded by your internalized agitation due to you not getting what you want. It's as if they themselves want to get to the bottom of your problems just so they can get rid of the stress you are unconsciously passing on to them. I just heard this phrase right now: "What is it you're so stressed about?! What's going on, and why are you feeling so impatient? Please calm down!" The people in your life feel as frustrated as you — perhaps, even more — because they're seeing someone they love going through a moment of tension and anxiety. They do care about your well-being, Pile 4. So, if you want to also alleviate their stress, I suggest you practice methods to calm and ground you back to objectivity, such as making a realistic timetable to see the progression of the task or goal you're so frustrated and impatient about.

In this reading, your dark side is being reflected as inferiority. It seems like there are a lot of authority figures in your life. How people perceive it:

There are two types of people I see here: the ones that notice your feelings of inferiority and inadequacy, and those who notice and take advantage of it. Unfortunately, your upbringing most likely perpetuated this dynamic of you being conditioned to look for authority figures in life, instead of learning how to listen to your own authoritative inner voice. And so, there have been those you've encountered along the way who really capitalized on this. But for those who notice — and actually cares about this — they do feel sad and solemn towards your lack of faith in your own capabilities. It wouldn't be a surprise if you've encountered those who tried to give you a pep-talk and a confidence boost every now and then; because they see your strong potential and abilities. Potential weapons you'd be skilled at

Traps, Ray guns, Weapons that have some form of light that radiats off of them. Your weapons outside of combat take some time to build, set up, reload and etc, it's not quick fix type of deal ^^ Some of you have scopes on your weapons to see things from afar closer. Some of these weapons are heavy weilding as well as sturdy and can take multiple blows before it gets slightly damaged. In a more modern day vibe I'm seeing you trap your victims through manipulation or deceit, even with the power of charm too.

Your approach

Scorpio vibes here! For some reason I'm getting as a villain, surprisingly, you wouldn't want to hurt people very much unless you have to. It's as if your target wasn't on the mass, but rather on a specific person at a time. Think of feeling fixed on one lone prey at a time! The vibes you give off as a villain are independent man/woman, boss b*tch, flirtatious when you want to be, and etc. That person you see at the back of a restaurant quietly sipping their wine and waving their foot leisurely? Yeah that's you 🥱😏 From what I was given, it seems like you aim for citizens who are rich // like sugar daddies/mamas. Not only this but ones you can play with romantically or tug at their heart strings. I see your target being people with wealth/charm in order to satisfy your inner needs for pleasure and fun, need that new weapon upgrade? Simply steal some money! A charming thief lurking amongst the crowd. For a very select few of you, there is some "partners in crime" themes slightly showing up ❤ I'm also picking up your personality changes with the wind, sometimes you manipulative and use your emotions to get your way/the slower route and toying with the victims emotions for your goal, other times you're reserved and quietly seek out your next target and trap them before they see you coming, like a snakes quiet venomous bite, quick cash, right? In this version of yourself you seem extremely comfortable with dealing with death, decay, gore, messes. They don't seem to faze you. (Did I spell faze wrong 🤔 it's late over here but it looks wrong? Phase? Faze? F- NEVERMIND LET'S MOVE ON 🏃‍♀️)

You grew restless. You were tired. Tired of waiting. It also seems like something with love never played out well for you. As if men/woman took advantage of you or did you dirty in some way. You wanted revenge, power, status. This may seem really dark, but deep down, your younger self was just begging for that taste of achievement, foundation. "Oh I wish for a perfect life. Marriage and income, please please please" but it never happened. If the universe wasn't going to supply it for you, then it was time to take matters into your own hands.

Personality-wise I see a lot of you in this other reality not trusting anyone but yourself. You got trust issues for some reason my dudes. I'm also seeing introverts here but for some reason you guys would have to work in a team or work deep inside some organization(s). I see you are the foolish villain archetype too, the one who doesn't care for what may go wrong and does what they want anyways to get the desired outcome. Not listening to your victims 'truth' or 'reasoning', mercy was never an option. Few here would be the boastful villain, proud to talk about their evil deeds and liking praise, arrogant tendencies. Who would your victim(s) be? Ah.. truly a villain or a hero is the question. However I understand why you'd be seen as a villain. Your victim is a woman of high status. A CEO/Boss girl. She's in charge of some kind of group or people. These people under her are fogged with false lies from the woman. The people are vulnerable, innocent, children, people with mental illness and etc. This woman seems go have ingrained in their head false information or something. The reason your a villain here in the public eye is because all the poor people think she's right, they think they should be grateful or respect her. You seem like the bad guy going after their leader from their perspective. You wanted to bring the truth to the light and when you did and you got rid of your enemy, everyone hated you :( what were these lies about? I'm seeing something over financial matters. The woman is greedy? Keeping her real amount of money hidden it seems?.. I'll leave the rest to your imagination

Possible backstory

Wow. I kid you not, throughout this whole reading I just kept getting orphanage vibes and like the woman was possibly the one in charge of the place. I just got confirmation it seems. First off, you were abandoned when you were young. This brought up self esteem issues, escapism tendencies and unfortunately.. loneliness. Well guess what? That's not all sadly, you had massive changes too. In the orphanage you suffered from trauma, abuse, bankruptcy and the list goes on. This woman was horrible to you and a lot of children there, I'm guessing many were brainwashed or so traumatized they didn't even know that what she was doing was wrong. Money-wise I'm guessing the woman hid the true amount of money that was for the orphanage but she kept a lot of it for herself and instead all the kids didn't have as much as they should've or weren't taken care of properly. I'm also hearing a play on your emotions? The woman seemed to be quite fake or 2 faced. If someone was looking to adopt (like a family comes in to look at all you kids) she would say the best things about all of you, but once the potential adopters would leave she would become cold again (FOR A VERY SELECT FEW- I got this at the last minute but I'm also seeing a story of a man who had a home, children and stability. The woman treated him horribly, used up his money, divorced him, had full custody of the kids and lots. His life was ruined and the poor children probably didn't even know the truth of the situation as they're young. He got revenge and wanted the truth to be known) with either of these stories. I guess you just had enough. The depth in you broke loose and you couldn't take everything anymore. What was once an illusion by a foe of the past, is now a truth, with a villain at last. Now you all go after people who do the same thing to others but you take a more tragic/villainous approach that sets you apart from just a regular criminal. A villain with an understandable cause but fatal intent

Something you unexpected compared to you. Shape shifting. Swords, daggers. +A high class weapons. I'm seeing explosions sometimes so grenade. Bombs. Smoke bombs. Something with the shoes sticks out, do you know those shoes with dagger compartments? Those would be signifanct. I feel like your feet are a weapons, like the kicks, agility or stealth. Something long and wooden? A staff or spear? Something. You remind me of shadow or someone cloaked. A puppet master. Grabbling hooks. Lock picksing.

Your approach

Woah! If you guys were a villain you guys would lack restraint and structure. You guys are a wild villain archetype. Very assertive and 'I'll do what I want' behavior. Destructive. Sharp/cut throat. I'm getting a lot with speed and getting things done with haste. Chaos. You are very upfront and direct. Maybe attack then go back into the shadows quickly like a ninja or something! If you were a villain I'm seeing themes of addictions and poor mental health. This might be either a psycho or warrior group ngl, no in between. If you communicate you can be loud or just dominant with the conversation. You shake up and stir some type of conflict wherever you go. I asked what people you would target and I swear I get more psycho vibes. You would go after people out of boredom it seems. Not only this but the mental stuff came out again showing me your just quite crazy and deluded. All this fog creates paranoia and just overall hasty tendencies. Impulsive with what you feel you wanna do in the moment. You just do whatever you want whenever you want.

Possible backstory

I'm seeing you guys, like a villain 😂, had that harsh backstory. So many general losses in life just kept on coming. However this didn't fit well with your soul because you have this pent of energy or darker side that was just brewing. I feel like you have such a big heart (or did) at the time that you couldn't take all the heart break and sadness and just, well, SNAPPED. So much stress, hardwork, it really tested your willpower, I think it's obvious it failed 😅 you said "f u" and dipped basically. I think you felt like your happiness was caged, as if it wasn't even a thing most of the time if not all. A lot of heart chakra hurt here. Family hurt. I'm seeing if you got those shape shifting abilities, that they came to you and you accepted them at some point, but used these abilities because you finally felt like you have control in your life for once. No one could dictate how you wanted to live or should deal with things. I'm seeing if you don't have these abilities and it's moreover normal weapons, then here I'm being shown you started seeing your darker aspects of yourself. All those challenges forced you to look within. And what you saw isn't necessarily, good. It's shadowing, dark. Tired and full of resent and pain. Instead of forcing yourself to feel all this pain, you forced it onto others through villainous actions. Taking out your pent of rage and sadness. (Psycho mode activated basically). Either way. You accepted this darker form of yourself as you. And so you become one with it. Until it consumed you.

Our universe is energy. The light and the dark coexist. None being able to survive without each other. Just like we all have guardian angels, we do have guardian demons or we call it our patron demon. The perspective and the definition might vary with one's belief. He is associated with the ace of wands. The passion, the intensity, best at seduction. Powerful presence. Driven by instinct. Bold in Action. Ruling the dark, barren places. Whisperer and Watcher. Indulgence. Over-indulgence. Never-ending. Weaponry. Especially swords. Corruption in its original form. Art of deception. Revealer of sacred things.

He doesn't delve in human matters much but he rules the mastery of war. Enhancing your skills to the maximum level. That feeling which almost makes you feel invincible. He is associated with the death card. Death - a metaphor for transformation. Shedding the current skin of materialism and false perceptions and revealing the depth of spirituality that you never knew you possessed. Connecting to the higher self. Recognizing your own strength. Bravery at its best.

The most magnificent and the brightest. And of course, devilishly handsome. He was angelic but during rebellion, he grew dark. His six colossal wings turned black with an undertone of red. The reason being the burning of his wings while he fell. There's said to be no perfect being sculpted than Lucifer. Face chiselled, large black horns. One sight of him can make any mortal/immortal go crazy from his sheer beauty. Irresistible. A deadly combination with that mind of him.

Mastermind. A beautiful calmness that you almost forget the malevolence. Lethal in wars. Cutthroat. Defeated the Prime evils. Wrath of 'hell'. Intimidating. Towering. No one dares to cross him. The personification of power. Regal. King in every sense. No entity has been able to compete with him. Destruction. Red orbs swirling with intensity. Smirk promising a demise with a walk that drips confidence.

Lucifer being with you would ultimately mean no one could harm you, periodt. They'd have to cross him, face his fury and they really don't wanna do that. Bear in mind, not everyone has been able to impress him. He grants his attention only to the worthy. You have to prove him that you are willing enough to go through everything, ambition that reaches the sky and utmost dedication to your goals. He is very, very selective. He would leave in a sec if you deem unworthy. Loyalty is important.

His presence can be felt by other people and you too but less. His presence is cold and heavy. The air shifts particularly. Screams respect. Dark coloured insects are a symbolism of him. He helps you to see yourself from the eyes of Universe. Aligning you with your own self. Coming into your own power. Unleashing your full potential. Shining in your achievements and brimming with talents. He unlocks the hidden areas of your psyche that enable you to be in terms with every aspect spirituality, be it be good or bad.

Lucifer helps you achieve your goals. Giving you clarity on various matters. Helps you have an unbiased approach towards life. Acknowledging what is actually important, what you need to cherish. Which qualities you need to incorporate and what you need to uproot from yourself. The process is easier said than done. You might have to face dejection first, disappointment and sadness as the actual purpose is to realize what power signifies and its importance. So it isn't misused by you.

He pushes you to expand your current state of mind. To leave your comfort zone and start exploring new territory. You might be someone who gets demotivated fast or lazy. Nothing can be gained without losing something. This is one of the lesson he teaches. Going out and getting it together while resisting temptations. With power comes temptation. He is associated with the moon card. Ruling fear, illusion, emotions, confusion, delusion and risk. Highly unpredictable. Imparts intuition and other psychic abilities to those who deserve. Pulling out the most painful of the emotions and letting you experience so you realise the importance of it and essence of it in your transformation.

The monarch of the inferno who oversees the Order of the Fly. The power to face the Satan himself. Former angel and one of the first to fall from heaven. Unparalleled strength. The most trusted by the King of hell. Winning battles. Until the end. Strategic. Quick-witted. Intellect can put anyone to shame.

He stands behind you. Pervading the hidden nooks of your whole being. Guiding you all through your journey. You can't find a solution unless you understand the complete situation. He makes you face the darker aspects, the aspects you turn away from in order to make you strong. To let you stand strong in this world. The problems you run from, he encourages to solve them because some day you have to, so why not today!

He is ruthless in his approach because he wants the best for you. Letting you step in illusion, letting you feel helpless, so you know how to look out for yourself, know that you are the one who has to solve your own problems. Forcing you to let out your true self in the most raw way, so that you coexist with your actual personality. Not the forced one which the outside world has made you to be.

If you hear very precisely, he never lets you go astray. He tells you the things the way they are. He knows how hard-working you are, how much warmth you radiate so he protects you from the persisting evils of this mortal world. Aware of every person's intention for you, he stands as a shield. Sharp and ready to fight. Maybe the people you encounter/encountered weren't the best. He warns of such people but we often ignore the red flags. Look for the signs. He paves a way for you in such a way that you become an independent person. Never needing anyone.

The screams of pain and hurt will become the epiphany of your success tomorrow. You don't realise today but someday you will. We all do, we all face the harsh reality of this world. Making us question the whole existence. Might be too late at that time. So, the only way to unfold your true desires is through determination and will. Accept everything in all its mightiness and watch yourself experience miracles.
