Right now, I'm undergoing a lot of really difficult changes to my personal life and writing is the least important thing on my mind. I have other things that I've been putting off for a long time (my mental health included as well as other projects) and I feel it's in my best interest to focus on those things.

Quite Honestly, Harrison was a little uncomfortable. His arms, which were wrapped around your waist had fallen asleep quite some time ago. The angle his head was resting in your lap had made his neck go stiff, and your knees were starting to dig into his stomach, but he had to stay still and figure out what you were doing. He figured you assumed he fell asleep quite some time ago. And, granted, the way you played with his hair certainly made him feel relaxed, but once you started tracing things onto his back, his attention was solely focused on your movements.
You werenât using your whole hand to make the soothing gesture, rather just the tip of your finger, almost as if you were painting a portrait on the skin of his back. He was mesmerized, entranced by the rhythm and pattern you had going. It took him another few minutes to figure out that you were writing something against his skin.
Left to right horizontally - lift - down vertically - left to right again beneath it. Down a little, then to the right. Circle (that one was easy to figure out). Down then up again at an angle. Something that kind of felt like a swirl. One line at an angle slightly left to right, almost horizontal, followed by another horizontal line right to left. Another circle. And then what fel like the bottom half of a circle.
Each time the cycle would start over from the beginning and Harrison resisted the urge to pull his hair out in frustration at not being able to figure out what you were trying to say. He inhaled slowly, as not to let you know that he was, in fact, awake, and closed his eyes. It took every ounce of his brainpower to focus on the way your finger moved as it traced against his warm skin, picturing the shapes in his head as if they were being written before him.
Left to right - lift - down - lift - left to right. Oh, okay... thatâs an uppercase I. Down a little, then to the right without lifting...thatâs an L. Circle...O. Down then up again at an angle... that looked like a V in his head. The swirl still looked like a swirl when he pictured it, but he quickly figured out that it was supposed to be an E. Harrison could feel his heartbeat accelerate rapidly against his will.
You had warned Harrison pretty early on in the âtalkingâ stage of your relationship together that you had a difficult time expressing your feelings. Harrison didnât understand it, but that was only because he was pretty in touch with his own emotions, and it was rare that he ever got tongue tied when trying to tell you how he felt. But, of course, he never judged you, rushed you, or made you feel guilty or weird for taking a little more time to say things to him. Instead, he frequently met you with patience and understanding. He never minded waiting for you and as it would appear, he was being rewarded for it.

It wasnât something either of you had said to the other yet, but that didnât mean that Harrison didnât love you. In fact, he could barely contain his excitement until he remembered that he was supposed to be asleep. He wanted to jump up and shout from the rooftops that he loved you more with more ferocity than a storm, but he knew that if he called you out in front of his friends (even if they were currently distracted by a video game) you would likely shut down and be embarrassed. This was a conversation better to have behind closed doors, where he could tell you just how much you meant to him in well-deserved privacy.

He suffered in silence all day long with the knowledge that you inadvertently told him that you loved him, quite impressed with himself for not having spilled the beans sooner. And when evening finally came, he beamed brighter than he ever had before as he followed you into your shared bedroom, both of you going through your nightly routine before climbing into bed. He leaned in, pressing a warm kiss on you, his warm lips parting your own. You reacted quickly, wrapping your arms around his neck and shifting so that you could straddle his waist. Harrison sat up, binding his arms tightly around your waist before parting from your mouth. He rested his head on your chest as he hugged you tightly, listening for a moment to the way your heart pounded behind your ribs.
âI just wanted to say that I love you too-â He pulled away, offering you a gentle smile when your lips parted in shock that he had figured out what you had been up to earlier in the day. â-so, so much.â

Youâd come to know a certain things about him, like his beer preferences, secrets heâd never told anyone, and everything in between, including the little known fact that Tom was incredibly competitive. You blamed it on the fact that he had three younger brothers, but Tom always had to be the best at every single thing, which is why when he invited you along the for laser tag with himself, his brothers, and Harrison, you were, understandably hesitant.
âOh, come on, Y/N. We need you to make the teams even.â He pleaded.
âWhy donât you just bring Tuwaine?â
âWhy donât you want to come with us?â He countered, eyeing you suspiciously and making you sigh dramatically.
