Really enjoying the idea that Grace's angry outburst in Denmark became a meme. The Angry Scientist. It shows up in discussions of egregiously bad sci-fi movies and arguments with antivaxxers and astrophage deniers, in forms ranging from pristine screencap to super-crunchy jpeg. There's an animated parody in the style of Ace Attorney. His students use it without realizing it's him.

In his first week on the Gansu six different people asked him about it and four asked Stratt why she hired Angry Scientist Meme guy.

hello welcome to flynns obligatory yap under each art post. im so so so proud of this drawing, more so then the other sofia drawing i did two weeks ago (im not obsessed you are wdym)

i think im becoming a lot more confident in the style i render in as of late, especially when it comes to clothing and hair. i only really began to properly render my drawings less then 6 months ago, and i think ive improved so much since. im still pretty bad at rendering clothing without a reference, but im getting there slowly!!

i dont think theres much to say under this artwork negatively. i think maybe i couldve done the violin better?? but honestly i suck at perspective and i think it actually turned out really good (well, better then the guitar i attempted to draw last time buahahah)

i think you could see me fiddling around with a few things with the speed paint. i was never quite satisfied with her hair, and i was having some issues with her arm, face, and top. LUCKILY i have some great friends (one of them being @ark-inkweaving please check them out hes so cool) that helped with these and actually gave some great tips on how to improve in the future

i will still forever laugh at the noodle of an arm she had before

trying to put together a playlist whilst you perceive music strangely is such a weird task. like yes spotify this is the playlist where a whole two (2) songs in this very specific shade of blue go into. oh both of the songs just so happen to be in the B flat minor key? im sure thats not indicative of something

Grace not specifying when he says he only has a life span of 70-90 years that ALL humans have that amount of time so Rocky thinks he has some kind of illness that Grace won’t talk about so now he’s on a mission to find out what’s wrong with Grace and cure it

and ends up accidentally making grace semi-immortal.

Because Eridians have a custom- when they find their mate(s)- both of them bind their life together. So that, if they die, they die together. It's not compulsory - they donot only when they're sure. And that's why adrian didn't take another mate. Because they knew rocky was alive. So what rocky does is he and adrian do that custom with grace so that he can live as long as them.

And then grace, after reaching the ripe age of 126 finally mentions to rocky that this is really long for a human.

Cue a panic stricken rocky and adrien trying to figure out how to break it to grace that he is, technically, their third.

Rocky doesn't regret it though.

Presenting Human and Eridian Grace!

Not much to say that I didn't already, but I spent a lot of time thinking about his eridian form and Im satisfied with it.

You'll understand this better if you take a look at my eridian egg cycle chart!

(ignore how the last page is unfinished, i want to go to bed)

P.S. Because Eridians have really long lifespans, and most mate clusters only have one litter of offspring in their lives, hatching is a rare occasion and celebrated greatly. Because of this, Eridians name their children after celestial body positions or natural circumstances that happen when the pebbles hatched.
